I don't usually like big brands but it's good to see an old established brand embracing technology. Very few do it well and truly understand the importance of innovation that's why small start-ups got popular. But corning is the few who realised doing the same thing they've been doing for over 100 years and not giving into change is stupid.
Noo it can't be like this in the future! We need a future as seen in Back To The Future 2! Flying cars, hoverboards, shoes with power laces and all that...
iphones and ipads have their own batteries. But when the power goes out in one of these houses, you'll have to revert back to doing things things manually. Looking forward to that.
Its scary to think that if someone watched this 15 years ago, theyd be thinking impossible future, but looking at it now, this could easily be possible
The coolest thing about this video is that we already have most of this technology, it's just going to take several years for it to be cheaper and widely implemented. In fact, I don't think they were as creative as they could have been because touchscreens are old news. What about voice controls or thought controls? That's real innovation.
According to Blade Runner you won't be smiling all the time, though. And umbrellas, buy lots of umbrellas. Maybe they could be made of interactive glass, too?
Get real people, everything won't be made of glass in the future, but most, if not all, of this technology will definitely be common within the next ten years. We already have all this touchscreen stuff, it's just quite expensive right now. What I would really like to see is autonomous cars and semi-intelligent robots.
The most incredible thing in this video is that the woman wakes up at 7 A.M and is all ready for work in her car at 7.20 ???There is no woman that can get ready for 20 minutes.PERIOD
Most of this already exists in testing phases and some have been in development for years now. I think we can start seeing this happen sooner than we think.
I think alot of the functions performed by some of the technology in the video would be better voice activated, instead of having to touch everything (which spreads germs). Like the text message in the bathroom, turning on the oven, the GPS in the car, etc.
Touch screens in cars.... real safe, lol. I mean at least if there are buttons you can still look at the road without having to look at a single textured screen to make sure you hit what you wanted...
Yes, it looks brilliant. I have seen the video like this couple years ago from Microsoft Surface. Exactly the same, is't it? Please note, that it is not what MS advertised for now as Surface Tablets. It was real touch world, like on this video. Unfortunately, I cannot find these old video. Hope we all will touch them in near future.
