I wasn't expecting for Anthony to actually call him that. It always takes me off-guard when these meme comments repeat things that were actually said in the video.
I'm surprised there are even 12 dislikes. Every song of his that I like is either because of a female pop singer's chorus or a killer guest verse. He adds nothing to a song.
I was suprised that he covered that particular song like there's a lot of David Bowie songs that he could make a cover of yet he chose Lazarus, just why? It's like Eminem doing a cover of Lou Reed's Walk On The Wild Side

He low key carried Kendrick on To Pimp A Bitterfly. Also, 36 Chambers was pretty trash until G-Eazy was revealed as the secret 11th member of the Wu-Tang Clan.
when MGK was calling out G eazy for trying to be like him, I thought to myself "alright MGK relax, it's not that serious".... but now I'm starting to wonder 😂
I'm usually down for artists and bands experimenting with different styles and sounds, but I genuinely believe that this trend of "rappers making rock albums" needs to stop here and now
@@zap192 No, there was a report that said Kendrick's next album apparently has "rock influences" or something, but not that it's a rock album. Not sure if it was ever confirmed though
@@vascr0 apparently he did review these things happen BUT he deleted the vid because of some editing fault and he never reuploaded it, i cant find the score he put on in tho :/
How dare he say G-Eazy has little to no personality in the WIDO review. He clearly didnt actually listen to the end of WIDO when the meaningful, personel stuff started
@@taylorfrench6722 Kendrick's done rock-esque songs in the past, rumors say Kendrick has a rock INFLUENCED album. He's made rock influenced songs so I think he'll be fine.
@@andrewdozier3920 hopefully so...just that so many rappers dissapoints me with this genre made my expectacions so low😅😅😅 But its kendrick, lets see how things goes
Melon: "there's a reason guys like Elliot Smith and Bob Dylan didn't have random shouting in the background of the song. It's because it interrupts and adds nothing to the song" Kanye: GAT, GATGATGAT
"Who are your favorite rappers?" "I'm really into Logic, G-Eazy, Macklemore, Eminem, Lil Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti... oh and that Tom Macdonald guy gets too much hate"
@@nimittkhare3201 just because they are good at rapping It does not mean They are immune from bad takes. Eminem had an influential early career and he is undisputedly talented on the mic but the man has not made good music in two decades
G-Eazy is what you get when you take the worst traits of Macklemore and NF and shoddily cover them up with a cringeworthy gangster/rebel schtick that only recently divorced soccer moms find attractive.
I'm looking for that guy who was in the comments like 🤓 Anthony you gotta review the new G Eazy record he's not rapping and it's actually really good 🤓 and Anthony replied like Yeahhhhhhh..... Where is he. I wanna laugh at him now 💀
@@stevienguyen2047 At least Young Thug is an original name, tho. G-eazy is just a corny play of word of Eazy-E. Eazy-E(ric Wright) G(erald Gillum)-Eazy What's next? Dr. Drake?
The dude has fell of so much. I loved his old music and loved his first album These Things Happen alot. Was such a fan of his. His music was pretty relatable. It was also pretty deep and had emotional meaning. I didn't even mind his early bangers like no limit or random, liked those songs too. But now it's like he's just a completely different person. Feel like all the fame, money, drugs have gotten to his head. It's a shame as I really liked him as a artist alot. Nowadays I see a new G-Eazy track I dont even get excited anymore like I used too. It's pretty sad.
These Things Happen (and everyone before that) is amazing. When It's Dark Out is alright. I yawned with The Beautiful and Damned. I didn't even know this album dropped until Anthony made this video.
I completely agree, I get no urge to listen to any of solo work anymore. He's decent if predictable on his features, since it's brief enough for him to swagger through with his generally vapid verses.
Happened with Joyner Lucas too. 508 was one of my favorite listens of that year but ADHD was hot garbage because he let the success of I'm Not Racist get to his head. I just hope this doesn't keep happening to other artists who have potential.
Lol Anthony is so fucking right on this review. I'd like to add that it reallyyy seems like he's been watching MGK play the guitar and turn into a "rockstar", and he's just jealous as fuck at home like "I'm deep too! I'm a musician!" All his shit has been derivative and he's always just ripping off all the alternative bands and movies from the late 90s/early 2000s. Radiohead, the movie Kids, David Bowie, Where is my Mind... I could go on. He's not even creating anything himself. The Joker themes? Everything is very obviously taken from something else. Idk who he has around but obviously a bunch of Yes Men.
I always thought you had to be crazy successful, before you could afford to surround yourself with yes men. But, I guess not. Or is G-Easy more famous than I thought. He seems very b list to me.
Litterally the only time I have ever heard a G-Eazy song is at the back of a party as background noise while everyone is high out of there mind Also G-Eazy doing a David Bowie cover of a track of his final album? That’s the most disgusting thing I’ve heard all week
hey remember that time where Blackbear and G-Eazy had this rocky friendship? well Blackbear might still be mediocre in my ears but I feel like after hearing this album he's pretty much better (by a small margin).
