Taking a look at G11 at home on today's episode of Gun Guide. discord: / discord watch the battlefield 4 version it really is better: • G36C GUN GUIDE Battlef...
"Why are we using the M4" Finally, after basically maining the G36 in every serious match, someone besides me finally shows appreciation for this marvelous all rounder rifle.
One of the most cost-efficient full-auto assault rifles in the game, and the unique scope with backup iron sight is just icing on the cake(Though to be honest, I much prefer the appearance of the standard carry handle, thus sometimes I would choose a different optic).
The G36K is probably in my personal top 3 favorite rifleman weapons in the game. G36K, AKM, and the VHS-2 which already just looks like a bullpup-ized G36, so that says something.
The Heckler and Koch G36 is their first mainstream model to not feature a roller delayed blowback system as well as the first to feature an integrated bottle opener in the stock.
@@snek-sama7931 The Galil is the swiss army knife of assault rifles. It has a staggering variety of functions to the point of being downright ridiculous, such as the aforementioned bottle opener and also the wire cutter bipod.
Forgotten weapons has a really good video about the whole thing. He discusses some interesting possibilities and explains that in testing the g 36 keeps its accuracy when heated through full auto as well or better than a lot of modern Ar’s
Was gonna say this. I know everyone grasps at his videos as "proof", but the dude is literally an engineer. He wouldn't be where he is if he didn't know his shit.
Finally a game that accurately portrays the benefit of the G36 being lightweight and cheap to produce. Most games don't bother with the actual production cost of a gun and what it means for the overall budget a military can spend on each soldier.
Whether it’s in Call of Duty, Battlefield, Rainbow Six etc the G36 has always been one of the best and most versatile rifles available. Y’know the is another weapon called the XM8 which is basically an even sexier G36 that was slated to replace the M16 rifle but was unfortunately scrapped. Funny enough many of the complaints towards the rifle are similar to those of the G36.
Yup, the final main reason given to the XM-8 not replacing the M-16 was the fact that the M-16s barrel could last 1/3 longer then the XM-8, and the army didnt like the fact that they would have to be spending more money for more spare parts.
Thought the initial plans of the XM8 was for modular use - i.e. swapping out scopes or under-barrel stuff etc - and then the piccatinny rail system came along so the XM8 platform idea was kinda defunct. Then they took their G36/XM8 ideas and made the HK416 which tested much better. There's a cool video on the guns of Battlefield Bad Company 2 from the bloke in Leeds who describes why the XM8 was never adopted
This video really got me thinking about the G36k. I basically never use it, but I'm also a Coop nerd, so the AUG is generally the better pick there, but I might have to start using it now. I looked up the two-shot distances (in meters) between the AUG A3, G36k, and M4A1 to see if the lower velocity really matters. G36k: No Armor: 148.75 Light Armor: 92.10 Heavy Armor: 14.16 M4A1: No Armor: 192.06 Light Armor: 135.82 Heavy Armor: 44.37 AUG A3: No Armor: 237.12 Light Armor: 169.56 Heavy Armor: 91.15 The G36k is obviously less lethal than either the AUG A3 or M4A1. Now, does that actually matter? Probably not. Heavy Armor does counter the G36k pretty badly, but that's assuming people actually use Heavy Armor in PvP. I don't play PvP much at all, but my assumption there would be "no". Light Armor does actually make more sense since it's only one supply point and 15% weight isn't too bad IMO, and it's a solid battle rifle counter, but the G36k will still two-shot Light out to 92 meters. Now, the VHS-2 is essentially just a G36k on steroids. If you have the supply to spare, I'd easily recommend the VHS-2, and I'd argue that the VHS-2 is the best Rifleman weapon for Security in terms of lethality. For cost performance, the M16A4 or AUG are solid weapons for any distance, and the G36k can do short-range on a budget pretty well. EDIT: This video also made me realize that there actually isn't a gun guide for the VHS-2 lmao
as a guy who picks m4 or m16 over g36, there's 1 big benefit: stanag magazines. I can reliably scavenge for ammo if everyone around me (including enemy team in some cases) is using 5.56. If g36 could somehow accept stanag magazines then I would happily use it instead of m4.
Can't wait for this game on console 🙌 Hopefully they continue to add more content to the game via mainly new weapon systems, attachments, earnable cosmetics and maps
Just because a fair few cosmetics can be added to be paid for doesn't mean they can't also add some earnable ones too. Also, I thought there was only a few skin-packs in this game and that they were reasonably cheap anyway?, (I.e. not COD $20 pack BS)
@@Drivaawwrrr Don't worry, NWI have been adding unlockable cosmetics with each major updates. The Cold Blood update featured ponchos for security and winter jackets for insurgents. Both factions also received new gloves and facewears. Gotta admit the latest major update was a let down on unlockable cosmetics side.
I agree. The moment I got the game, even while playing coop, I barely use the M4. Honestly, I think it needs to be cheaper because the G3, G36 and the Aug beat the M4 in nearly everything
As somebody who mains the G36K, the biggest difference between it and the M4 is that the M4 deals more lethal damage, much quickly with its penetration, and that better velocity gives it an edge with x4 optics at range. But in close-to-medium range, the G36K is a much better value bar-none for a more aggressive player. It mostly matches the M4 in every performance category aside from penetration and velocity. If you intend to use the M4 in a more hybrid role, using it similarly to the M16 at range but with the versatility of an auto Carbone, then the M4 is better for you, but if ranged engagements without a x4 sight aren't on your mind, avoid the M4 and adopt the G36K.
I usually take the VHS-2 personally for the fire rate and smooth recoil, and to use my remaining supplies. I often favor the AUG because it has an even better velocity and the M16 and it very controllable so really versatile but, for CQB maps, I use the G36 every now and then. I really don't like having a third fire mode as it messes with fire mode switching for me and I can do my own bursts with full auto. That said, I agree with you that picking the G36 over and M4 is almost a no-brainer in my opinion, unless you want to roleplay.
Awesome video, and the fact that you’re taking the piss out of some of the know it all’s in your comments section moves me to tears 😭 thank you sir, thank you 🙏
Friend of mine was working for an arms manufacturer many years before the melt meme became public and his company acquired some G36's for testing as part of a service rifle comparison. The trunnion had a polymer covering, when the rifle got hot, the trunnion covering softened, and melted. The zero shift from this was real. Subsequent models DID have a fully metal trunnion, but the barrel is pencil profile and any amount of sustained firing will get the POI of shift considerably. Thank you for coming to my Gat-Talk.
i cant say im biased for the g36 because im german, since i never served nor shot one irl, but in most games i just prefer the g36 over other choices, including sandstorm(so far at least, gotta play it more) also, good job on that HK pronounciation btw, rare to hear it on point :U edit: Also, just remembered that i once looked up the source for the claim on the g36`s lack of accuracy due to the polymer melting n such. while i can agree to the part that sustained fire melts the plastic parts, or just fatigues them, the original claim the gave the gun its shame came from a officers(?) report in a base in northern germany who was worried the guns MIGHT be inaccurate if left out in the sun too long due to polymer fatigue.... no actual studies or the likes attached, at least back then.
Just rolled thru all 5.2 seasons of gun guide. Thanks for the info. Ive been waiting to play this game since it came out. I couldve bought on pc years ago but my all my irl friends are console peasants. Next week tho. Finally.
While this isn't really all that relevant of a point against it, keep in mind that the G36 (much like the AUG too) utilizes a unique polymer magazine that lacks the functional interchangeability STANAG mags have with a plethora of other rifles. Chambering in 5.56 isn't the same as being compatible with other rifles. Whether that's a positive or negative? You be the judge.
That is not entirely correct. HK actually offers a replacement magwell, that makes it useable with stanag mags. They also ship rifles with it beeing installed allready, if so desired.
@@thegreenguy8837 Technically true, but not entirely relevant to the gameplay with the model we play with. While I'd like to see this addition as an attachment option (0 supply cost pls?), I find it unlikely that we'll see this unless say ISMC mods it in or something of that nature.
i would use this just for that 2 rounds burst ngl, especially for how fast those 2 rounds seems to be lmao, can't wait to FINNALLY be able to play this game T.T
Great info & nice editing! Consoles need games like insurgency, very badly. Sucks ubisoft holds alot of tactical properties. Ubisoft to scared to take tactical risks.
5:43 that made me laugh so hard. I always do this when I'm shot I make the most realistic groan I can and SOMETIMES. if I NAIL it. Someone audibly says "yeah that man is dead now"
@@arkana37 the G36A1 sight are absolutely horrible, even compared to some 70 bucks amazon sight. i know, i have used them. They just cannot compete with anything that's used nowadays
'...serves as the standard issue rifle of the Bundeswehr until its replacement next year.' That aged like fine milk. Also, tears flowing, for multiple reasons.
Guess I can say I'm a pioneer of the g36k supremacy race. Ever since I started playing quite a few month ago I immediately say the g36k as the perfect Security killing machine. The AK of the security team if you will, cheap and deadly.
biggest problem with the G36c/k is that I'm American... Which is the easy way of saying I dont like the stock iron sights. I've never like the drum style rear sight on HK products. I also dont like the rear ghost ring aperture with a circular front sight. Really seems like there is less target and ambient visibility when ADS.
Didnt know it too. Only saw the mounted version with red dot on top which is stupid especially in RL and ingame also. Is this also in real or just a game idea?
I used it, and i loved it, my Comrades loved it too, its not as cool as the G3 imo but the only time i heared its a bad Gun comes from the corrupt Politician that is now the Leader of the EU..... (the A1 is still a little uncomfortable frontheavy if you ask me)
