A Game Changing way to fish soft plastics. This was taught to me by a very experienced Canadian fisherman, who has used this technique for years.

Yeah I have tried something similar without the swivel and had tangles. Will be testing this out with a swivel now. Great tip.

One huge advantage, that I didn't mention, is that you are casting with twice the weight (in this case 1/2 oz), but the fall rate is still the same as a single jighead setup. So you're casting 1/2 oz, but have the "in water" performance of 1/4 oz.

Wes, cool! So in 2016, I did a trip, traveling to all 50 US states. The thing that blew me away was that even all over the USA, people fish for the same fish, totally differently.

No worries. Fishing, it's all one big experiment.

Can't say I've seen that either. I use 2 hooks on the same line for Snapper but not 2 jigheads. Gonna give this a go the next time we go out.

Cast into a school of those salmon, you'll end up with two on... now that would be interesting!

Would this work for flathead fishing as the plastics have to be at the bottom,
@marxfishing
@marxfishing 6 лет назад
Joe Mbarak, I believe it will. I was trying my flathead style retrieve, hitting the bottom, with a pause, and it seemed to work. When I get back to Australia I will be trying it for sure.

Hey Mark, I actually use this method myself but I do it a different way. I’ve caught Flathead and Red Mullet with it. I’ll post a pic of it on insta and I’ll tag you.

it's a great idea for you lot in usa and your small fish. but in new zealand we have big fish and two big fish on one line would cause havoc
@marxfishing
@marxfishing 6 лет назад
Judge Dredd, yeah totally agree, you really have to know what’s around and hope that two bigs ones don’t jump on.
@MenCanNotBeWomen
@MenCanNotBeWomen 6 лет назад
that is true, but we have big fish everywhere :) cool idea. just not practical in some parts of the world...
@MenCanNotBeWomen
@MenCanNotBeWomen 6 лет назад
same here, that is why i got a okuma citrix with 12kg of drag, i can still fish 15lb braid and catch big fish, because the drag is big enough to slow them down.
@marxfishing
@marxfishing 6 лет назад
Judge Dredd, yeah, you need to know that every bit of your gear is spot on. Such a great place to fish.

you should come out back to nz again, and fish white island, home of the biggest yellow tail kingfish in the world..
