​@SIPEROTH they patched the Nibelheim flashback in FF7R just to censor young Tifa's chest. Apparently they changed the scene in Rebirth so they chose to do it in Remake as well. 8GB update just for that.

I don't see this whole thing as some "SE redemption arc" when they've always had sexy girls in games since forever, they just tried to do something "different" with Forspoken and it flopped, so they're just gonna continue doing what works. @@RageQuitSon Since your haven't been caught up just letting you know that sony, microsoft, nintendo and steam all are having these same issues in terms of censorship. Steam is banning games from being released or censoring them. Its usually japanese visual novel games as anime girls are too lewd so steam is getting a very bad rep, plus hiding negative reviews of games that have censorship like Skullgirls. Skullgirls is pretty much gone so bad everyone on steam got them to "mostly negative" but steam removed all the negative reviews and got them to "very positive". Steam sucks lately but still has the least censorship I suppose. Then nintendo. Also censoring games, like anime games from indies or other companies, even their own AAA titles. Fire emblem, Smash Bros, anime style games in the opening intro are covered up ladies. Even the box art from their games is censored from games like Disgaea 6, Duskdiver, Amazing Princess Sarah and so on. Some games aren't being released on switch either. A dev even called out nintendo for asking to censor their game if they wanted a switch release but the devs said no and thus got no switch release. There was another article talking about nintendo going back to their old ways and that they don't allow certain things anymore. Think it was in 2022 that they came out and said that when asked. So yeah noone is doing uncensored anymore under anyone's watching eye. Its sad but we are showing pushback with games like Stellar Blade on the PS5 which is sony lol. Hope it does well and sony starts being okay with it. Then nintendo and steam so we can get back what we are losing. Our japanese games uncensored.

Nintendo at least had one good argument: they were promoting their games toward the whole family = also kids. Meanwhile with Square Enix we talk about games aimed at teens and adults. Not kids.

I'm gonna take a wild guess and assume they will still fail to learn from it, and a new cycle of moral outrages and censorships will start at some point.

@oi74 a lot of people seems to praise eastern developers and yet many games such as god of war are made by western devs It's just bad games vs good games. It's best we try not to compare them as a region/country thing and more about "fun gameplays"
