Nobody asks: WHY was Jaqen Ha'ghar even IN Westeros during this time? He is an assassin, but why was he there? Who hired him? Was it the Iron Bank commissioning him for a spy mission, needing to see who would win the war? By this time, Jaqen in Harrenhal can tell Tywin and LittleFinger have teamed up and Tywin was off to King's Landing to defeat Stannis having been given assurances and advice to screw the Starks. Jaqen also knows that Arya's brother Rob will like be dead before Arya finds him, and therefore offers her a sanctuary and purpose for her revenge. That he did not reveal what he knows, speaks much to his profession.
This whole arc is screwed up bro, its a viable question to which i'm sure would be covered in the books since George R.R. Martin would have enough time to iron out the story and close any loose ends with this story. But the directors of this show said they "only need 5 episodes" to finish the story. lol. that was the smoking gun right there. People hated her killing the Knight King for a reason. Because nothing made sense, it was a random choice.
Of all the spinoffs and/or prequels they tried to leverage the inertia of GoT to launch, the one they should have done was a Jaqen H'ghar origin story.
Im glad he didnt die in series honestly Th Hound and Jaqen H'ghar were the most important in her way because they gave her hope and strenght sad the shomans "killed" The Hound
It's sad to watch this again, seeing Arya when she still had hope. And he lied to her. "Joffrey, Tywin.... a girl could offer them all." But practically the first thing the House Of Black And White said to her was that she *couldn't* kill whom she wants. Yes, she kills whom she wants, now. But that's only because she refused to be "no one" in the end. I think it's worth remembering that, although her father was pleased and proud of her for wanting a sword and warrior skills, he would be devastated to see what she has become.
This scene is extremely important and probably a ( 🔑) to unlocking the entire realm of GOT-HOTD-SOIAF etc. “(no-one)” knows something we don’t and it’s arrogant & pompous & paradoxical in nature what secret is being shown but hidden.
I disagree. She was still training at the time. She would still have the opportunity to do all that later in a few years when she would have been fully trained
There seems to be confusion on the interpretation of these events. He later says 'a girl" can't kill who she wants, he knows her well enough that she will not accept this. He trained her as a faceless man, the blinding was part of her training, as well as penance for taking a name from her list. Knowing she can't be trained if she insists on keeping her name she lets go of it.... For a time. When she says her name to him again, Arya Stark, trained by the faceless men though no longer a faceless man, can kill whomever is on her list.
But what if she became no one and then figuratively wore the face of Arya? So "no one" kill all who Arya wants, not whom "no one" wants. It sounded better in my head 🤣
@@Khorn1996 You're thinking too much _ which means that's definitely *NOT* what Benioff & Weiss intended. 😉 Hey, don't worry _ I like your version much better.
Anyone notice that valar morghulis sounds like it was taken from the lord of the rings? Valar, the gods of middle earth. Morgul, evil and dark. So essentially "dark/evil god"
Remember watching this in my college dorm with a bunch of friends and everyone just went "woooaaaaaa what the fuck was that" and then we had to wait forever to find out.
I never understood why in this scene he says that she has many names on her lips and she could offer them all to the red god... But when in Bravos she's only allowed to offer who she's told, and is told to forget everything from being Arya stark... Did he say that simply to lure her to bravos?
He kind of conned her really. The whole point of going to Bravos was to gain the skills to kill the list, he trains her and subjugates her. He's lucky she didn't kill him.
if only her dancing master and Jaqen had been her sworn swords with the hound. Arya had the best loyal companions hell she also had Brianne and Jamie if you could count them later on
The first sword of Braavos’ job is to protect the Sealord against faceless men so I doubt they’d like each other. It also shows how skilled Syrio was to be the only defence against the faceless men
I never quite understood the purpose of these earth-bound gods. Did they just happen to be there so as to teach Arya to be the most lethal assassin in Westeros? One would think that such powerful creatures would have a bigger part to play in the scheme of things.
@@thegrimmretails3777 She said Her father is a traitor and the reason is that she wanna marry Joffrey. To marry someone a daughter said her father is a traitor. So in my opinion she is a worst
@@FilmibeatAllround2hell nah think you should watch it again and pay a little more attention, she said that to stay alive if she had stood by her father who is accused and found guilty of treason then her head would have been next to his and her father wouldn’t allow that anyway, she was just a scared little girl and knew what kid of person joffery was by that point and that was an evil, vile, heartless little monster the only thing that gave that kid pleasure was watching other people suffer at his expense especially Sansa stark he made her gaze at her fathers decapitated head on a spike, he left her out inside of the palace to be raped by animal’s fortunately the hound managed to save her in time, he also threatened to kill her multiple times the little bastard kept her as his own personal torture victim and also she couldn’t refuse to marry him either she would just end up dead then and there
I really liked Jaquen, but when he shapeshifted I laughed and said "oh come on!" It was like when that Scarlet Witch looking bitch gave birth to a literal shadow smoke demon like the one from Lost. This show's great but it's got it's goofy moments.
I agree. The direction was on point when she was this young kid in the learning process; once they want to show her increased maturity and badassery, her acting becomes more one dimensional, and she starts coming off as somewhat arrogant
I really just know, what the deal.. why can't I just have a life? I can tell you this, there's still A LOT of people on my side. But I keep them a secret 😘 You also think I'm "fishing" on tiktok. Fishing for what? All you ppl do is try to ruin things. You guys are so FEARFUL of me that I can't even mindlessly enjoy tiktok like everyone else and I think that's pathetic.
