Randall was a dick. Dickon was a pussy who was an ok guy in the last two episodes. But you know he never stood up for Sam and if he was told to, he would’ve hunted him down just like his father would have if he didn’t go to the Wall. Sams mother is amazing and Sams sister is naively sweet for the way they treated Gilly. When I repeated the comment, I meant out of the three Tarlys who are men.

There were a lot of choices. Even if she didn't want to keep them prisoners, she should still have given them a proper execution. They were knights of the realm, the realm that she wants to rule. She has learned nothing from what happened when she strolled into a place and tried to change their culture willy nilly. If she wants to rule Westeros and wants people to respect her rule, she is going to have to learn to do things the Westerossi way. She is already going to face some opposition for being daughter of the Mad King, and going around burning helpless prisoners isn't going to help her side at all. I can remember another pair of father and son that were burned alive by a Targaryen, and that is what caused the rebellion. Brandon Stark and Rickard Stark burned by the Mad King. I can respect the decision of executing the officers who didn't capitulate, but the way she went about doing it was objectively wrong. Burning them does NOTHING positive at all. It only causes problems for her. Nobody can argue this. It was that Targaryen blood driving her decision, not intelligence or planning.

@@naosou921 - firstly, 'that Targaryen blood'. There have been more good Targaryens than bad, just like the Starks. Secondly, they were not helpless. They literally betrayed their liege lords. Anointed knight or not. They were greedy traitors. Thirdly, burning people alive was a method of execution occasionally used by House Targaryen in the first 100 years. Also, beheading is not a thing used by all of Westeros. The Eyrie throw people out of the moondoor. Dorne execute people using snakes and scorpions. Perhaps Daenerys should have bashed their heads against a wall multiple times or stabbed them half a hundred times like the Lannisters did with the Targaryen children. Maybe poison everyone like Arya. I don't see people moaning about that. Maybe let him be ripped apart by dogs like Sansa. Or commit genocide and burn them alive like Cersei. Or bludger them to death like Jaime did with his own cousin.

I don’t think they are minimal. It is a different situation but it was a moment that could have some serious repercussions in the future just as the Stark’s deaths did. This scene is great because there is a lot of gray area in this moment for Dany as we see pointed out later by Varys.

ReyRey Noelle m8, that’s not how it works, just because he doesn’t like dany doesn’t me he has to not like other characters that you stated lol. Also the top comment that you replied all sassy about wasn’t even offensive. It simply stated that it had a similarity to the mad king actions. Which this show likes to do a lot where they make certain characters perform certain actions that are similar to actions of the past. So I don’t know why you had to go all argumentative because the comment wasn’t stated in a manner of ‘dany is a mad queen because she burned the taly’s’. For the record in like a lot of character in the show because of how they are portrayed, example I like Jamie, little finger and especially Ramsey because they are all very complex characters which I enjoy. This is why I strayed away being invested in their reactions. They don't pay attention to anything other than "muah dragons" and only like characters for "being good" rather than appreciating characters for who they are. Like, who cares if they're on the bad side or good side? I used to really not like Jaime in the beginning but I wouldn't stay on the black and white scale. Indeed. A lot of it is because of Patric and Jerry always yelling and screaming(and Patric's laugh). They may be the two most annoying people on youtube. The whole group also overlooks a lot of subtleties though, like the significance of Jon and Drogon's interaction, as well as Dany's reaction to it.

Honestly editing is an area they have a lot of room for improvement in. So many scenes get cut and sometimes even in mid sentence. Reactions are a matter of taste and subjective of course , but imo top editing is what truly separates the best reaction channels from the rest of the pack.

Slaskhask agreed. reactions are probaly the easiest thing a youtuber can do. how ppl still cant even deliver for that is funny. i love watching reactions but its lazy asf especially when the editing aint up to par.

Maybe there wasn't much reaction to it so it wasn't worth putting it in. Not like Gendry had the same value to them as he did to people who hadn't seen him in years. They saw him a few months ago plus not any of them were particularly attached to him.

ReyRey Noelle I didn’t see him saying he hates dany lol. I don’t understand why this argument even exist. I like both characters because they are both complex characters that have been developed in different environments. I like dany but I personally wasn’t a fan of the burning of the two. But that of course was performed in such a manner on purpose to relate the whole mad king reference. It’s not me hating on dany, it’s simply how the show plan it out to bring out discussion.

This part… they’re pretty much strangers at this point so much has happened they need time to get to know each other again. Who’s to say they can trust each other for Arya could be coming to kill Sansa

I just think that's so weird! That people can hate a little girl for daring to want a handsome prince and live in a nice castle and be a queen. Like, that's a *general* fairytale that many girls in the real world have dreamed of, and Sansa actually had that dream right within her grasp. Her dreams are very realistic of an actual young, feminine girl. If I were her, I'd feel like I was living a dream too if I were engaged to a handsome prince who (up until the trident) had always been a perfect gentleman to me. There was never anything wrong with her dreams. And her being naive is kind of the result of being a child. It's not something to condemn her for. You live and you learn, nobody is perfect all these people judging her know damn well they weren't little Einsteins at her age either. The thing is, so many people probably don't like the fact that Sansa is a reminder of who they'd likely be if they were in AsoIaF. They wouldn't be dragon weilders, or assassins or wargs. They'd be normal people likely being manipulated and used by those stronger and smarter than they are. Sansa was the typical young person, thrown into a world of secrets, lies and scandals and has to navigate with the minimal skills she has at her age. She was beaten, and raped (in the show) and abused, and she was forced to see the world for what it really was after seeing it through rose tinted glasses for so long. That kind of wake up call could easily break a fragile mind, but Sansa is stronger than she's ever been given real credit for, but that's why I love her. I can see the strength that so many fail to acknowledge because it's not something physical like being a fighter or a dragon mother. To maintain a good and compassionate heart and to learn from manipulators, yet vowing to be better than them, is incredible. Sansa is a far greater character than is given credit.

Before he even gets to Dany he knows that his family is the ruling power- why would you join a side that is in direct opposition to them if you’re not willing to let them go?? This is where I think D&D fucked up at… in the books after Jaime releases Tyrion they have a rough reunion and they basically swear bloody vengeance against each other. Tyrion is a broken man after having killed his father and by the time he gets to Meereen, Dany has already taken flight so the circumstances of Tyrion’s whole mindset is completely different after he flees the capitol. He even convinced Dany’s other secret nephew to go attack the 7 Kingdoms while they’re weak as opposed to going to Meereen to beg Dany for a dragon

@Blake Hunt I'm still watching with 9 seasons in. More likely, I'll be done since a lot has changed after this season. But the show has never been one I've considered rewatchable. Between the ep count and the slow pacing, I've just never had the patience and I understand how many stopped watching. I've come across several reactions to GOT but not TWD and that's for a reason.

People calling it gross... you have any idea how much that happened in ASOIAF history? Hell, Tyrion, Cersei, and Jaime are the product of incest as Tywin and Joanna Lannister are FIRST cousins. It’s not the modern world, was very common in Westeros. There may be some legitimate reasons to not like them together (I, personally, do), but using the incest argument (especially when they had/have no idea) doesn’t really work for this show.

I don't think she's evil and in all honesty she is one of my favorite characters and who I think will eventually sit on the iron throne but I just think the burning of the tarlys was a mistake on her part.

@RheyaRu!z also to say POWs do not exist in this time is factually incorrect. POWs have been around since the Stone age they were just called slaves back then. POW refers to Prisoners of War which is anyone captured and held against their will by enemy forces. There are examples of POWs in this show. Jamie Lannister- Captured by Stark forces and got dragged around for a while until Cat let him go. Gendry and Aria and the fat kid whose name I dont remember- Captured by Lannister army and confined in Harrenhall. The two of them got off easy cuz Tywin liked Aria and Gendry and fats had useful skills that could be used; blacksmith and Baker. Theon Greyjoy- captured by Bolton forces and tortured. All these characters are examples of POWs. So the argument that Dany couldn't take the Tarlys prisoner is wrong.

@@TheSuperNats I agree from an audience perspective. To us she is definitely not the Mad Queen. She has proven herself. However if you look from the tarlys and the rest of westeros's perspective the name of Targaryen has a lot of baggage. Everyone still remembers the mad king, the guy who just a few decades ago burned their families for enjoyment, the guy they rose up in rebellion against. Now suddenly another Targaryen has appeared with a big ass fucking army and the first thing she does is burn the head and heir of a prominent Noble house. Of course that is a huge mistake. I hope this gets brought up next season or it will be a wasted opportunity for Dany to be like "Oh shit, shouldn't have done that" and then learns to be a better queen because of it. Learning from mistakes is character growth and characters should never stop growing.

They betrayed Olenna, a woman who just lost everything and suffering, how can you all forget that? I'm glad she killed them, bc of them Cersei took high garden, is a revenge for me.
