Yes...definitely...she was..classified...like a 90's pretty girl...but Shirley is more than this So bigger...pure dinamite... Fierce Irish🌹....Ginger ...❤️
This reminds me a lot of high school times. Horrible times, sometimes, but there was Garbage playing to make it better, for not feeling aloud with my feelings :)
@Xoxocube woah it does! Haha. Sexual confusion, religiousness induced self hatred, suicidal thoughts, bad decisions... It's all just a bad memory now in my almost 30's and thanks to this gorgeous redheaded woman and her lyrics
@@AlexOrozco-Social-Pariah Hermosas palabras amigo! Well Im Just assuming that you speak spanish, but the important thing, I feel soooo related with your struggles, that were at the same time mine too and the beautiful presence that was Garbage and their lyrics in our lives, that why I am back time to time to them and I feel happy as they make me feel then, like when you see again a very very good friend.
@@thefebi8457 I do speak spanish, and I do feel the same. Although now I see their lyrics a little too simple for me, they still give me the chills when listening. Their music has been present in some of the worse and highs in my life to the point they are trully welded in my heart (its like a pattern I have repeated in my musical library). They changed the way I saw music and rock and myself in general and fueled the musical talent in me. I feel I owe so much to them.
This song is happy and sad, colourful and black&white, melodic and rocky, introvert and extrovert, poppy and alternative, cheerful and gloomy. THIS SONG IS ME.
Anybody still listening in March 2021. I'm so glad I grew up in the 80s & 90s music was so much better than today's dross. Shirley's voice is just instantly recognisable and so is the Garbage sound. Just brilliant. Isn't nostalgia good lol
I only really caught the tail end of the 90s but that was enough to know. I remember watching Garbage on mtv as a child of 10 or 11 and here they are still ruling in 2021 while I begin to feel old. Truly the ultimate sleeper band. Prolific. They started out a bit old for a pop band but I think that gave them the perspective to stick to their own sound and weather the fads, even embrace them without submitting. I just love Garbage.
Love can be so strange Don't it amaze you? Every time you give yourself away It comes back to haunt you Love's an elusive charm and it can be painful To understand this crazy world But you're not gonna crack No you're never gonna crack Run my baby run my baby run Run from the noise of the street and the loaded gun To late for solutions to solve in the setting sun So run my baby run my baby run Life can be so cruel Don't it astound you? So when nothing seems too certain or safe Let it burn through you You can keep it pure on the inside And you know what you believe to be right So you're not gonna crack No you're never gonna crack Run my baby run my baby run Run from the noise of the street and the loaded gun To late for solutions to solve in the setting sun So run my baby run my baby run Find out who you are before you regret it 'Cause life is so short there's no time to waste it So run my baby run my baby run Run from the noise of the street and the loaded gun To late for solutions to solve in the setting sun So run my baby run my baby run
the music that saved me when i was a teenager and i ran and ran and saved myself... and now that i experienced love that i had to walk away from i am listening again, and it is saving me again ...thank you , deeply thank you
Back then, I had no idea who Garbage was, so my father played for me this video, and I instantly fell in love with it the minute I saw it. This was the 1st ever video I ever saw of Garbage, and I am forever grateful to be a fan of them forever and always!!❤️🫶
Garbage is the perfect example of very good music and lirycs. Iconic band. I remember listen them in 1995 on radio!! Now, here we are. Thanks, very much for accompanying me all these years in my ears and everywhere.
Ong so memories back in the time going to highschool early... my grandma with the coffe and this playing on MTV. Better days for the world and for the music. Also, this song is for my dear friend Armando he passed away some years a go due to Cancer. He was a huge Garbage fan. Keep rocking in the heaven, and take care of me. ❤🤘🏾
i really enjoy watching her eating fries, dont know why, it just feels so normal and awesome, like you are really enjoying those fries, the way you oughta to be eating them! love it
Es que ella es divina siempre, incluso comiendo papas fritas. Es un bombón (así decimos en castellano, en inglés sería "muffin", creo) siempre. Siempre súper sexy, linda, talentosa y brillante.
I love this band so much and this(with breaking up the girl) are my favorites songs but this part "Find out who you are before you regret it , 'Cause life is so short there's no time to waste it" it's such a powerful quote, I always think about my future, my struggles and my biggest desires in this part, the chills are real and I feel somehow listen to that makes me very happy and confident in what I want.
Everybody says Bleed Like Me is their worst album. But I think it's a great album. It has such powerful and meanningful songs such as Bleed Like Me, Why Don't You Come Over, It's All Over But the Crying and, of course, Run Baby Run.
I love this song. Its my favorite on this record. Unmistakably Shirley, but she has grown into a new self at this point. The video suggests a new found freedom attained, perhaps. Plus alternative seemed like it had been buried by post grunge and oversampled techno bands until this point, so the timing of this release was perfect, up there with Interpol, Death Cab and other emerging artists at the time. Plus she looks great during this period.
The 80 s sound is so healing for my late GenX girl soul in a changing woman’s body. Just rediscovered my self after years of being someone else for everyone else. Hold on to yourself through the trials xx
This song is brilliant, it really shows Shirley's lyrics are clearly maturing here. The part about finding out who you are before it's too late is a good example of this. If I'm not mistaken, Shirley wrote most of the songs, with the band providing 'high tech' backup. Whatever the case, Shirley is an amazing woman.
Recuerdo esta canción por MTV Latinoamérica y que por cierto, en los 100 + pedidos estuvo en un lugar muy bajito, en el puesto 93... qué triste... una canción incomprendida.
One of my favorite bands of all time. I saw them live fifteen years ago, or so and I was blown away. They were opening for Alanis? Could have been Sheryl Crow. I saw them on back to back weekends. Both concerts were amazing, but I really remember Garbage.
Hey everybody I hope that u r still listen of garbage so I still ❤that song run baby run that make my feel about my of fall in love so garbage is forever 💞🤟🏼
This song is my favourite Garbage song and Bleed Like Me is the best album, and soooo sad that Bleed Like Me is the only one album that wasn't released on vinyl.
I was a 70s high school teen so Garbage relates to my post divorce dating life. I'm addicted to this band still today. The sound Is not to be matched. I luuuuvvv them!!
2023 and this looks still shining as the day of releasing. Garbage never gets outdated, no matter how many years or decades passes by. If you think about a truly perfect pearl in the musical world, well, this is Garbage for all of you, folks.!!!!
I heard an interview where she was talking about how as a young woman she suffered crippling depression and later performance anxiety attacks and how hard it was to become the lead singer of an internationally famous band. There were nights when she was about to go on stage but felt like throwing up but went on anyway and eventually found herself and never looked back.
This video remeber me when i was young (15 years) and I used to see mtv all day ! The years are past away but the music always stay in your young hearts !
Wonderful band and frontwoman who was and is a pioneer for females in rock. Strong, talented, dignified and effortlessly cool. Garbage were great when I was 21, now I am 48 and they still are.
2005 was the year foreign music channels getting popular in Turkiye, I was 11 years old and first I've seen the music video of Why Do You Love Me and INSTANTLY fell in love with Garbage🤩then came Run Baby Run and I felt this cosmic connection was strong because I recognised the Turkish streets and got very excited, their place in my heart got deeper and deeper as I witnessed this beautiful thing: Shirley's beauty, talent, even though I didn't really understand the language at the time; the magic of their music was captivating, I could feel it in my veins, hope, despair, love, life, I could understand it clearly. Years later I still listen to this song when my heart feels heavy but I'm never gonna crack thanks to the strength you unknowingly gave that little girl, she's grown up to a big woman, thank you so much 🙏
Models usually are. But to be so gorgeous AND an amazing songwriter AND a phenomenal singer AND an accomplished actor... now *that* is special. AND she's really, really smart, too. Check out her interviews.
If you can remember just one phrase of the lyrics (accurately!) you can usually find any song just by googling lyric "[insert lyric here]" The more unique they are, the better. "Ooh, baby" won't narrow the field a whole lot. But even something as generic as "run baby run" gets u only nine hits on the 1st 2 pages of results: Sheryl Crow, We the Kings, the Rigs, Tommy James & the Shondells, Caspar Babypants, Masumi, Amanda Lear, Coast 2 Coast... and this track here.
