In June, the Fern Creek and Western Garden Railroad in Santa Cruz, CA, celebrated their five year anniversary with a special private event we're calling the first annual "Live Steam Up."
I was on-hand to document the event that included TEN live steamers from as far away as Sacramento. The trains were cool but the camaraderie was better! What will the second annual Live Steam Up look like? I bet we'll find out!

What a wonderful garden railroad. It's hard to keep landscaping in scale. Someone has done a great job. Beautiful locomotives. Amusing, creative, engineers. Looks like everyone had a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing.

Totally awesome engines and what a beautiful layout. Makes me want to be a logger in 1880. Oh lord can you imagine the work a fella had to do back then? GOD bless all of you!

Really well landscaped layout, scale bushes an trees really impressive. The group has done an outstanding layout, congratulations. Those live steamers are cool to watch. Thank you for sharing.
