I bought this watch after watching your video. I did have the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 but the GPS was terrible when using Strava, especially when it was connected to my phone via Bluetooth. I returned it after 2 weeks because I use Strava to record my activity. Bought this and it was perfect for me. Thanks for the review.

@@DesFit I think looking at Connect 4.0 and the emphasis on designing for these. I'm sure more SKUs are coming just not sure about lower end watches or high end. I am probably going to go with the Venu and hopefully upgrade to a higher end AMOLED SKU if / when it's out. FYI You made my day by replying. Thank you :)

I am trying to decide between galaxy watch active 2 and garmin venu. I own Samsung phone and I work as personal trainer , so most of the time I spent in the gym ... anyway thanks for all your videos

Mike Smolka Thanks for all the support! The Active 2 is a great little smartwatch but the fitness performance leaves a lot to be desired. The Venu will be your best bet for a fitness-focused device.

Awesome review - thanks! Just switched to the Venu after 3 Ionics died with 18 months (me+family members). It's unfortunate that Garmin & Pandora don't get along (I have a Pandora fam subscription) but I need something reliable. Great job!

This is a beautiful smartwatch from Garmin :) I have the Fenix 6 Sapphire and I wish it displayed something like this. I'm just waiting on a future Garmin rendition which has a bigger edge to edge display. Another great review, thanks for sharing!

Both are great devices. The 4S will have a slightly smaller form factor as well as slightly longer battery life, but the Venu does have a nice, crispy display :) The Fort is a hard place to leave!

What a great review! I've been using a Garmin 235 for running and it's great but I wanted something with a better display and music capabilities. I tried the samsung sport but it was terribly inaccurate and frustrating. I will try the Venu :)

Been using this since launch and love it! Heart rate is spot on compared to chest strap but I'm using it for running. So like u say, prob more to do with the type of activity. Great review though 👍

@@cookiepuss8182 Love it, I have done loads of 10k's with it and God has always been spot on. The only SLIGHT (and it is slight) gripe is that on the odd occasion the 'raise to wake feature' doesn't work on a run. By no means a deal breaker because im sure it's just a quick software fix.

currently have a Garmin Vivoactive HR that I got for free, but looking to switch for something that is great at tracking all of my activities, but also more stylish. Was going between apple and samsung, but now I'm going between apple and garmin! This was the first I've looked into the Garmin Venu, and I love how in-depth your videos are for everything! Can't wait to do some more research. Just time to decide what things I find more valuable.... compatibility with the apple watch, or more detailed tracking and running without a phone with the garmin.... decisions decisions

I'm looking for a wearable to use for strength training in the gym, as well as running/cycling etc. I'm leaning towards the vivoactive 4, as the animations are a nice touch, but concerned about it's inaccuracy in sensing the exercise type. Question, can you pre load a workout before hitting the gym? Basically I'm looking for Jefit on a wearable that doesn't require me to also have my phone on my person, with the added benefits of smart watch/fitness tracker sensors.
