Most people my age aren't into blues. I'm not sure why. Even the people who play guitar don't play any rock or blues, it's mostly classical/acoustic for people around 13. Most listen to rap anyway. It's people like Gary that keep the blues alive in today's society and will never let it die. Blues is awesome! And I'm glad I was introduced to it at such a young age!

This song here very clearly follows the Mississippi Hill Country Stomp style. He doesn’t even have a band, how much more genuine can you get? It’s all here.

yeah he's never won a Grammy.... the Grammy's are fucking dead. it's all cancerous pop music now. technically Gary Clark Jr was given a Grammy 'performance' award for Best Traditional R&B performance... but it's not the same as winning the album or artist or songwriter Grammy, which is what he deserves.

This version is amazing. I love how the strings vibrate off of the cone on the guitar and give a distorted sound. Gary Clark Jr. is by far one of the best new artists to come about in years.

I love coming to listen to great music like this on youtube, the people in the comment sections are always bang on point with their observations. It's true, there is music out there for everyone but it does seem like when your listening to music of this calibre, the comments are (the majority anyway) deeply refreshing.
