I disagree. If the song doesn't touch the very depth of your soul, you've never loved another deeply and without thoughts of yourself. This may be a blues song, but its more than about the blues.
True but I think he was underrated by many when he lived... and when he died, he was so great and wonderfull...like everybody became a huge fan 😐 I dont like that! I have been HUGE fan for decades, even when he lived, especially then❤️ Always in my heart, dear Gary❤️💚💞💎
So sad. I've been into him 20+ years. If I didn't know who he was and heard THIS solo, I'd jump in front of a train. For I'd realize what I been missing all those years. A bit of n exaggeration, but mostly true. He was and still is my #1.
Yes indeed, I do listen very well and I miss our Gary as much as you do. Sometimes I wish I´d never heard about his death and still would think he is alive and playing his wonderful guitars. Thankful, that he inspired my life! R.I.P Gary and see you sometime, hope you can give me some lessons in guitar up there.
If you truly "know" music, you know music has never been and will never be, a competition. If you "know" music, you know ther eis no single musician who is better at everything than anyone else.
Jon Z: Fretts are sobbing. sax is moaning, percussion is wailing, he's wringing out his heart from its bloody puddle on the floor, but she just continues to smoke, arms crossed, bag packed, stone cold indifferent,; finally his mind blows into a thousand tiny fragments echoed by the sax, at the end, as she walks away in front of him, and closes the door, with the knob missing
The blues is a place you go when no one is watching. Those private times when you think of those who passed or things that might have been. Thanks for the music to accompany the journey GM. You likely didn't know the journey you would take us on when you played this timeless piece. Thank you...
If I ever leave you Well, you can say I told you so And if I ever hurt you, baby You know I hurt myself as well Is that any way for a man to carry on? Do you think I want my loved one gone? Said, I love you more than you'll ever know More than you'll ever know When I wasn't making very much money You know where my paycheck went I brought it on home to you, baby I never even spent one red cent Is that any way for a man to carry on? Do you think I want my loved one gone? Said, I love you more than you'll ever know More than you'll ever know I'm not trying to be just any kind of man You know that I'm just trying to be someone You can love and trust and understand I know that I must try to be A part of you that no one else can see But I gotta hear you say, I gotta hear you say It's alright I'm only flesh and blood But I can be anything that you demand Well, I can be king of everything Or just a tiny grain of sand I said, I love you more than you'll ever know I said, I love you more than you'll ever know
I agree!! Gary is a fantastic guitar playing 🎸 genius and his vocals are equally moving. The whole rendition is loaded with emotion and amazing talent 👏
This song is on a soul level.there isn’t a human emotion that can define what this kind of love does to you it sets fire to your soul every last note played . You know that you know . RIP Gary keep playing in Heaven. As the angels weap Namaste.

Dear David, back in Bogota, Colombia I´m listening to this beutiful song I heard back in "68" for the first time. Since then it has been one of my favorite songs eventhough the wealth of sorrounding music. Today at 66 it souns as good as the first time. As a public health physician quite concerned with has happened with this disease quite similar to what happened 102 years ago. In those days we had Rachmaninov today Al Kooper still stands out also for ever as well as Gary Moore who has also left the planet but who´s guitar playing is eternal.
I'm Aboriginal but Gary Moore is my fan for life and my name is Nelson gumbuli and I wash him he is good a legend blues guitar hero for life may god bless him amen 🙏
Music is my religion. It litteraly saves lives. Would not be worth it being alive if it weren't for art in general and specially, music. And that's music! Also,I love someone more than he'll never know.
Sing Gary sing. This man brings it .then his guitar backs it up.what an artist, what a masterpiece. Never ever gets old.still listening to this in 2023 @.61yo ROCK ON we all need this bluesy feeling ever now and then.
This artist will be recognized as the most soulful and technical blues guitar player that ever existed. His voice was fantastic but his guitar playing was out of this world. He created a different type of musical genre... because of that he is criminally underrated but he will not be.
Without taking anything away from GM he was special to say the least but I’d have to say personally to say he was the most technical blues player there ever was is a bold statement when you compare to the legend that was Stevie Ray Vaughn imo he was the best guitar slinger of all time of any genre as far as I’m concerned there was nobody quite like him before and there hasn’t been anyone even close since!! Ye joe bonamassa is good but he ain’t srv like Eric Clapton said stevie was like a channel the music just flowed through him he gave every last drop he had and some yet as I write this Gary was up there British blues and R&B just had a certain truthful feeling and rawness to it which is very unique as a youngster I was often taken to the Robin Hood club in the West Midlands to see the likes of Stan webbs chicken shack blues shouter Parker’s alibi ect which is something I’m so grateful for and has had a major part in making me the person I am today. It’s a shame that music has become what it is today a soulless lifeless cash cow and distraction with no true expression creativeness or passion it’s just become another brainwashing distraction pushed by the powers that be what happened to the art of expression and truth realness that one could truly relate to over this fake consumer brainwashing bullshit that we have these days. Saddens me how shite we’ve become as a race and that shows within music. All apologies rant over
4:11 It just sounds like if the guitar was wiping a tear away, 8:54 here like if it was blowing its nose 8:57 and there like if it was yelling its heart out Actually, every note of this song sounds like if the guitar was alive and in pain I love Gary Moore
@@tjaardtenhove8930 bijna boven natuurlijk dit, zo geweldig, het is niet alleen de emotie in de muziek, maar de enorme emotie die het opwekt, bij die geen die wat met blues heeft!
This is the song I play to remind myself how much blood and sweat - and how many tears and years - it took for me to thrive past abuse. I used to hate everything about myself. Now I just listen and weep and experience gratitude for never giving up.
Mr. Taylor, seriously, I am really touched by the simple and honest confession of your struggle and your hard fought success (continuing to be won on a daily basis). Thank you.
A lot of guitar players can shred, play complicated arpeggios or tapping tech or wammy bar effects, but only a few off them can do the most important thing for a guitar player, to deliver a feel and emotions through the guitar playing, gary moore was one off the few in that category, the original version of the song was phenomenal but also gary moore's version is highly good, thanks gary, R.I.P, thanks for sharing
ITS 2020 WHO'S STILL LISTENING TO THIS LEGEND?? R.I.P. OH! GARY UR STILL MISSED TO THIS DAY!!! XX U ALWAYS PUT 100% INTO EVERY SONG IF NOT MORE! MY IRISH LOVE TOTAL RESPECT! LV FRM SCOTLAND XXX
I an 31 this year, since my freshman year at 'Heroin High' my life has never been the same. I am plagued with beautiful friendships that have tragic endings. Today.... 04.21.23 one of my best friends is in rehab but I fear for the worst. I am sad now.... I put up the front, and I don't need the barricade, but I endure a lot.... this isn't a tough guy speech by any means, I just want my friends back and someone to talk to. Love you guys. ❤
Put this playlist out here myself and you're right there's no doubt about it one of the greatest guitar players ever he passed a couple years back may you rest in peace
I learned about Gary Moore about 7 years and couldn't believe what I was hearing. He became my favorite guitar player and the best I had ever heard. And I have heard and followed many. I have listened to almost everything he has done. His music just fills my heart and soul. I just wish that I could have had the opportunity to see him in person. It's such a shame that most of the people in this country do not even know of him. Their loss. But the one's who do know his music will always have it to hear and know that he was one of the best. His music just melts my heart. I love him more than he'll ever know. DeDe Bencriscutto
This Man, Was A Commando on his Tools ,Guitar, Vocal , Lyric. so sadly missed by generations! I shed a Tear for your service to humanity and an past, present and future. Bless u GM...
I'm not a legend guitar player, if that's what you mean, but I do feel totally emotionally moved by his guitar playing and lyrics. Absolutely out of this world 🌎 😍
My best friend of 36 years is dying. I am going to see him. This song is so fitting for the feelings I have been having. He is married, has 2 adult kids and a wonderful wife. This song is perfect.
+Georg Hägglund true I only knew him from a friend because of this music, but I have to say this one was just special compared to the others from my point of view
+Georg Hägglund I also heard that there was a metal band made a song after he passed a way and I only hear it once and it was magnificent but I cant remember there name or even the song name . I think the song name was more lore probably there is some spelling mistake cuz I cant remember the name
Hi Tariq! When you say lore i assume you mean folklore - and the two traditional songs I know that he did were 'Whiskey in the jar' and 'Over the hills and far away' - try search those, maybe you recognize the one u heard - good luck M
Georg Hagglund: I didn't, but thrilled that he left this masterful "Deep; dark Delta, Indigo Blue, Blacksnake in the kitchen, left alone in the grey cold rain falling on a Sunday night, by the one person in life he ever loved, who took his money and put him out" blues song that is anguish in music. Marvelous fretwork: it moans in pain
Reading most of everyone 's comments and listening to this tune for the first time , I must say " my hats off to this giant musician " amazing sound amazing guitar amazing tune , cheers May he rest in peace
Personally I feel Gary was a far better blues musician than a rock one. I like his rock stuff but absolutely love his blues stuff. R.I.P. Gary gone but certainly not forgotten. 26 September 2022
This is the best guitar solo in human history. The way this guitar joins his soul and creates another being makes this replicable. And BB king had some close ones live but Gary jeez. The world needs to hear this!
