This cover is just insane. Her best cover imo. She bends those strings just like how Gary did. All are on point and sound perfect and the guitar doesn't get out of breath while singing them. The second half, specially the outro is such a massive injection of emotions directly into heart. 9/10 times brings treas to my eyes and speaks to me to such deep levels. Those notes are from another world!
And Gary is looking down smiling. Out of all her covers, this is by far my favourite. Yes, her ability is amazing and Moonlight Sonata and Arpeggios from Hell are great but this really says who she is as a guitar player. She will return one day...when she is ready to.
I can’t stop watching this. Or her videos in general. Her playing is so hypnotic. If she ever does anything by Randy, I am not sure if I can handle it. Still... I so wish she could do one. Anything. Revelation, Over the Mountain, I Don’t Know, Mr. Crowley. Any Randy at all would be amazing. Here’s to a quiet Christmas wish : )
If you consider her age, 2019 is about the time she'd be graduating high school and going to college. So, I'm sure she's just busy with life and adult responsibilities now.
@@2Evan Video credits her guitar tutor for filming. If she went to college, presumably she is no longer taking lessons with said tutor so no more videos. Nothing too scary if that is the case.
For those of you who have nothing nice to say, remember the old saying, "Those who can, DO. Those who can't, criticize." This young lady is incredible and deserves nothing but praise. Bravo, Tina Šetkić, bravo.
now: this is GOOD! before i clicked on the video i was like "here's another video with many views just cuz she's a girl and guys are pervs" but nope.: this is actually freaking amazing!
It is said that she returned to her home in another galaxy, her work visa and passport expired, only in this way can the inexplicable be explained. Her Majesty Tina S was born to play the guitar, she is a virtuoso, an unimaginable and unattainable talent, Mexico
I dragged my electric guitar out of the closet after a decade. Then started searching. Found this. I cried. I think she found every broken heart I ever had.
I don't know how often I watched this perfect cover piece of music and guitar playing of Tina Setkic in the last years, but it thrills me everytime! Tina, You're just great!!! God bless You!
@ Gregor Kropotkin School girls these days are too busy dying their hair all colors of rainbow or are looking for things to be offended about or are learning about a million of sexual perversions forced upon them by Common Core, (while becoming true left libtards), or are discovering a true beauty of being one of the 50+ genders on Facebook in a never-ending-gender-salad, while hating all white men, starting with Trump. There's no time for them left in the day to either adequately study or learn how to play an instrument -- ANY instrument. It's hard to be a true Social Justice Worrier!!! Leftist Hillary's ilk is calling......
I'm 17 now and watching her play Moonlight Sonata blew my mind. It turned me onto rock and metal and probably inspired me to learn guitar. I've been learning for a year, I suck, wish I had started earlier. But watching her play is just magical and just instills so much inspiration and passion for the guitar. I'm gonna practice hard and hopefully I can cover this masterpiece someday.
@@tarunkumaar625 You're welcome. That's good keep it up. I been playing for two years now and I felt like quiting several times, but Thankfully I didn't. I'm 38 I wish I had started earlier too. But it's never to late friend. We will get there one day thru practice and persistence.
@@irishpodboss5339 That's great. If you want to join a community of instrument learners where we helo each other with tutorials and feedback I can give you a link to a discord server.
I know right? Been watching this incredibly talented kid for a couple years now, and maybe it's just me, but in a lot of her stuff I get the distinct impression that she'd rather be somewhere else. Not necessarily that she's being 'forced' to do anything, but her facial expressions a lot of times seem apprehensive to me...or aggravated at someone. I dunno, but it would be fantastic if we saw some more current stuff from her, she's got an undeniable talent!
@@randomprecisionmotors3130 Sometimes I think of the Paco di Lucia syndrome who was forced from very early on in his life to practice 12 hours a day!!! Practice has not made Tina mechanical; she has the passion, the incredible talent that I have honestly not seen in my 70 years of life and 55 years of playing guitar, and I have seen and met a lot of them. The way she coordinates both her hands for maximum efficiency in speed, sweeps, rakes, bends, pull offs, hammer ons and slides creates arpeggios of incredible accuracy. There is never a hesitation which finger has to hit what note, her finger memory is out of this world. Which of course points at an enormous amount of time invested. She is more than special and I can only hope that she has not lost the love for music.
She is so good that I occasionally have to re-listen to this, and I normally do not like this kind of music. Her left hand is so good I have to wonder how good a violinist or cellist she could have been. Great violinists abound, but a du Pré caliber cellist?
@@djw6430 Or she could be like Randy Rhodes was. He was in 2 Heavy Metal bands, but really wanted to play Classical Guitar, or she coulda just had other interests she wants to pursue, who knows? But her disappearance was sort of abrupt...
One of the most fantastic covers I have heard. Played Flawlessly. One of the best tracks she has done so far. Soulful. Majestic and Beautiful well done Tina.
I have been watching cover versions of The Loner all week. The quality has varied, some have been really good, but they have all lacked something that this version has. I am not a musician so my opinion means little, but I like Tina's version simply because it is more aggressive. So many just blandly slide their fingers around, with some almost sounding like elevator music. Tina seems to wring every note out of it and it's nice to hear the occasional pinch harmonic, not too many, just enough.
Reading the comments, my God, her bends are dead on accurate. Gary would be proud! I'm so tired of these sexist idiots, hiding behind a keyboard, trashing truly talented individuals. Pure jealousy.
+razorjules I read 100+ comments and havent seen a single "sexist idiot" bashing her... just praise... what are you talking about, you're acting like it's really common..
There are two type of artist. The first is medicore, an artisan doing well his or her job getting mostly positive comments. The second is loved by many, and hated by others. These artists are like shining pearls that climb above rest. It is not only about their technique, but this internal presence that is expressed through their playing. She definitively belongs to the latter. Such people are inspiration to others - people love them becuase they not only express their soul by their art by also motivates to work harder to push yourself beyond your limits. These people are also hated by others, simpy because those haters when watch they can see their reflection - how miserable and jealous they are, how lazy their are devoting not enough time to practicing. About comments on her feelings - sorry, but she has more feelings in her playing than many of those haters will have in their entire life. If you can`t discern it, this only means you are one of them. And if you didn`t know, the feelings are not expressed only by face. One eye look may mean more than a thousand those facial expression.
My friends, I'm musician and when I'm playing I'm in another world so far away that I don't have attention around me. I feel that girl it's so concentrate that it's very difficult to measure. She's incredible. Bravos !
As technically well played as this song could be. The best playing was during the fade out ,while she was improvising, when we get to hear Tina! Not just her playing a cover, but her! The real Tina. Want to hear more of her in these songs. She is so monterously talented that keeping her tied to playing others music is holding her back. The teenage years are often the most creative. I want to hear the Artist Tina S, not just the performer. I know its waiting to explode from her if it doesnt implode due to keeping it locked inside. Unleash the creativity Tina!
I keep coming back to this video, I think this is Tina's best cover, she captures all the emotion of the original, you can see it in her face, such a beautiful but sad song. Really hope she's doing well, be really nice to see a come back.
Superb guitarist. I'm not happy reading that someone said she is a sloppy player. She rips on the guitar. I play guitar myself. Not even close to what she plays.
I’m biased, but I believe that she’s one of the five best in our world right now. With somebody please agree? There’s such emotion to be shared when you master the frets!
There’s no telling how she plays now. She hasn’t had a video out in 7 years. She was only 15 or so in this video. Pretty good bet if she didn’t touch a guitar this whole time she’d still be great but with sore fingers.
She has quite a metal approach in every song which makes her recognizable. What I liked the most in this song were the times when she was using some artistic freedom instead of playing very true to the original song. For me, little surprises and different arrangements in cover songs are the reason of doing covers.
+Sledge72au True, and there might be several reasons for the lack of chills 1) Background is less carefully produced than in the original track 2) Guitar is mixed higher than background instruments (this is more of a virtuosity demonstration, not a fully produced track) 3) Nostalgy, never underestimate this
+Olli Leino I agree with the underestimation of the nostalgia aspect. With my favourite music from years ago, it doesn't matter how many versions I hear by the original artists, if it's not the exact track which I used to listen to, it doesn't hit the spot--it doesn't take me back. It's almost as if the original has been planted in my genes.
+Jack Frost the problem for me is i had never heard the original,i heard tinas version and then seek the original...i do believe she plays it better because it hits my bones
Please stop telling about vibratos and overdrive used in the cover. If you want IDENTICAL performance like GM, just go and play GM. This is Tina's heart and soul and I love and admire it. Tina, you are my guitar GODDESS. I'm pretty sure majotity of you cannot even approach to her playing style and technique.
She is a good candidate for Gary's replacement, if indeed he could ever truly be replaced...she makes the guitar cry in much the same way he did and that is a gift that cant be taught...you either have or you dont and she has it in spades. I am in awe...
@@thomaswomack3888 She's a copyist, in case you hadn't noticed. A very good one mind, but still a copyist. If you put her on stage next to Guthrie Govan, she'd be embarrassed to even be there after a 30 seconds.
Its for the slow motion sort of look I think. You know, 80s rock guy playing guitar upon a isolated desert rock at sunset or dawn. Really nostalgic stuff lol
I honestly don't think she speed's up any videos / recordings. She can I play fast slow or whatever. I also think tons of people are just crushed. Because of how good Tina really is.
If you consider her age, 2019 is about the time she'd be graduating high school and going to college. So, I'm sure she's just busy with life and adult responsibilities now.
You are an inspiration!!! Great job!!!!!! I showed this to my daughter who is 14 and plays piano and guitar. You certainly inspired her to practice! Keep it up and THANK YOU for being such a great role model for girls!
Age has nothing to do it really. If you can burn 5 to 10 hours a day on the guitar from now and you are committed to it enough to improve your own style - in a couple of years it will make a serious difference.

Living around Paris it can be very hot there so I'm sure it can also be for keeping cool. It's also a nice effect which I think her guitar instructor/video director may have placed there for making a more professional video.
This is ultimately my favourite all time piece of music and every time I hear Gary play it it brings a tear to my eye, I have heard hundreds of covers of this and they are all lacking the pure emotion that Gary portrayed. This mega talented artist has absolutely nailed it, possibly with more emotion than the original and managed to bring a tear to my eye at the same time. There will only ever be one Gary Moore but Tina he would be proud of your playing. Please post more and ignore the haters that can't play.
Your wrong on a couple of accounts, let me explain.......the young lady is an excellent guitarist and played the actual notes very well, however, there is so much more to being a performer than simply playing the correct notes. If you doubt what I say search for the "finest guitar solo ever" along with the Maestro's name. You will see Gary wring every single ounce of emotion out of himself and the guitar live on stage. I would like to see her play the track standing, moving and putting 100% of her emotion into it......making it her own, rather than a facsimile of Gary's. She has the playing talent and if she adds the performance aspects I would personally pay money to see it. Secondly, there is a Jockey, BBC sound recordist, me, and no doubt many other Gary Moore s....only one Legendary Irish Guitarist of that name though 😃👍
I replayed 5 times. Alway with the same pleasure. I dont know how is it possible but she is simply emitting emotions by her moves, her fingers, face ... Amazing.
Well said, indeed. She's a brilliant musician, kicking serious ass on guitar, rather than using her body to impress (even though she's obviously beautiful).
For the so called experts saying she doesn't play with emotion. There is no way she could play these songs without passion. they are intrinsic to the song/music itself.
@@bobs8942 right, and it's not her Art anyway. Showing emotion is good at a venue to get a crowd going (sometimes, on that type of music). I admire her manner on her videos, without any antics.
@@passiveaggressivenegotiato8087 BINGO! And I’ve said it before - What do the viewers want of her? To jump around and do contortions like some heavy metal player juicing up an audience of 15-year-olds? She “OWNS” this song! It is amazing that anyone can’t see it.
sorry but shes not playing now, as far as i know she is taking time out to study and take exams.to me she is the greatest guitarist in the world,so glad I found her
@@philrobinson476 shes amazing but to say shes the best is an overstatement, check put young jason becker, he was probably destined to be the best, he replaced steve vai and played for david lee roth, at the age of 15 he was playing difficult pieces if malmsteen with one hand while plying with a yoyo in the other

Not only is she a virtuoso, she is very musical as well. Just like Gary Moore himself. This is true to the original, yet she makes it her own. Very unique tone. Great fucking cover.
Iv'e Watched you play this at least 100 times and I'm still blown away at your incredible connection to the guitar! You make me go WOW every time! Thanks for the Thrills!
