i love the way he got Joe the waiter word perfect and then completly fluffed M.E........ HEY HO he's only been singing it for 41 Fu@%kn years ha ha ha......priceless
This felt like we'd all come back together again for a family reunion forty one years on from April '81. I was seventeen then, and 58 now, but for me, that's all that has changed. For Numanoids like us, the music remains special and crucial.... "I must confess, I cried" 🖤
same as other comments ,, but at age 16 my parents wouldnt let me go ... but 41 years later i didnt ask my parents and i went ,,, im right at the front in the standing area ,,, bloody amazing
Same here, how the audience has aged but Gary looks and sounds better than ever. A fantastic night, I now have the treble, Wembley 81, Wembley 2022 and the Albert Hall. All absolutely fantastic
Saw him the night before in Plymouth....just brilliant. Took me right back to 1980...Like the last 40 years never happened. Legend. Fantastic guy and still got it.
Strangely, even after covering several of early classics from Replicas/Pleasure Principle on violin and drum machine back then, his songs now strike me even deeper..🌹🖤
Excellent. I was so miffed I didn’t film this part. Brilliant!!! I did wonder why we were all singing it at the beginning and he wasn’t lol. Soooo funny. X.
Silly thing was, we'd have sung every word for him if he'd stood there and waved us on. He's had some issues with his voice recently after getting Covid in the States, and this was the longest show he's played to date (and the longest on this tour). So not perhaps entirely surprising if some did think he was struggling.
I think its because he doesn't like the track ,his wife on the other hand loves it .I'm with him i didn't like it then ,and it hasn't aged well .We need to start saying Omicrom , or Delta which was the worst and fast dying out .I right now have Omicrom ,i just finished a workout with little but mild cold symptoms , the same as most who get it and are healthy experience .
@@stevewebb7126 Apparently, to quote another of his song titles, they 'had a technical'. And I think, whatever variant of the lurgy you have, the same variant appears to hit different people differently. You might have had 'a mild cold' but someone else might have a totally different experience. Can't generalise.
What a load of bollocks. Numan never cared about Wembley he's never had any ambition to play there again. Talks out of his back side and this show was far from sold out.
he’s 64 years old, he recently had covid, he’s written over 800 songs and he still goes out and gives spectacular performances for over 40 years. he WAS professional in the way he handled it, i was there and the audience didn’t mind at all, he’s only human and will make mistakes. if anything this was a shining example of professionalism
Apart from his voice drifting out of tune on occasion , and the drums being too much center of attention .The music was good , but those awful dad at the disco shapes he does ,are a little too much .
Lovely to see Chris and Rrussell but the strangled cat really should pack in if he can't sing in tune anymore! Sorry but Gary's vocal was painful at times on M.E. 🙀
He never could sing in tune, that's half the attraction - the other half is made up of unique innovation, pioneering creativity, perseverance....and not listening to useless critics!
@@charlesrenniemacki Actually, he could sing in tune - very well at times but he now appears to have that "old voice" problem when older vocalists sing live and there is very little control.
@@charlesrenniemacki So i suppose you have never critiqued any band ever .His voice is failing him in his older years , its a fact anyone with good ears can establish , its not an insult just truth .
I guess people commenting about him being out of tune aren’t musicians or sound engineers & don’t have a clue that sound is picked up horrendously, at live gigs, by poor quality (in built) microphones. I’m sure the people who were there in contest for the fact that it was not out of tune. Hell I saw him twice in the same week, just after this very gig & trust me he didn’t put a foot wrong & he was in tune all night, both gigs!! (Leeds & Leicester)
