GBO2 Full Armor ZZ Gundam (Post-Buff): It's a monster now?!

This video contains two matches I had with the recently released Full Armor ZZ Gundam on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 700 cost support with access to multiple instant staggers, multiple heavy staggers, LV2 Anti-Beam Coating to block beam instant staggers, incredibly powerful melee, a touchpad skill that temporarily grants you the ability to spam heavy staggers and a 50% HP Biosensor skill that practically makes you play like a general. Its weaknesses would be that it loses 30% of its beam resist once its HP drops to half, that it is pretty big and that it isn't as fast as other supports before Biosensor activates. This suit was recently buffed with LV1 Damage Control, +2000 HP, +10 thrust, less stagger taken during Biosensor and less of a defence penalty once the beam coating expires. Its primary weapon is a double beam rifle with 1400x2 power, 4.5 seconds cooldown, 85% heat, 15 seconds overheat, 0.5 seconds swap time, 450m range and 10%x2 stagger value. This has pretty decent stats for an instant stagger. It serves well as a combo starter.
Its primary melee weapon is a hyper beam saber with 2900 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap time, 70% combo modifier and 160% downswing modifier. This weapon is pretty ridiculous for a support that gets type advantage, even raids or generals would be jealous of this weapon.
Its first sub weapon is a head vulcan with 130 power, 40 ammo, 514 RPM, 12 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 200m range, 1114 DPS and 5% stagger value. This can stagger in about 2.3 seconds and has alright DPS.
Its second sub weapon is a double beam cannon with 1500x2 power, 85% heat, 4 seconds cooldown, 22 seconds overheat, 0.77 seconds swap time, 450m range and 25%x2 stagger value. This has pretty great all round stats for a back beam cannon, it is pretty effective to use after a beam rifle shot.
Its third sub weapon is a backpack missile launcher with 250 power, 36 ammo, 380 RPM, 12 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 500m range, 1583 DPS and 17% stagger value. This has pretty solid DPS and great stagger value. The issue is that it has an awkward launcing angle which makes it hard to hit moving targets.
Its fourth sub weapon is a shoulder missile launcher with 150 power, 12 ammo, 18 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap, 450m range, 10% stagger value and 200x15 fire damage. This can be fired while boosting but has low base damage, it makes up for it with amazingly high fire damage.
Its fifth sub weapon is a head high mega cannon with 1900x6 (1500x3) power, 100% (95%) heat, 180 seconds overheat, 0.5 seconds swap time, 600m range and 6.5 (4) seconds focus time. When used normally it works like the original ZZ high mega cannon, very high damage but it cannot steer while firing and needs to stop to focus. When using the Linked Fire touchpad ability it changes completely, being able to be focused on the move and no longer instantly overheating. It does less damage than usual but it still heavy staggers.
Its sixth sub weapon is a waist high mega cannon with 5000 power, 100% heat, 180 seconds overheat, 0.5 seconds swap, 400m range and 7 seconds focus time. This heavy staggers, can be charged while moving and has very high damage. The overheat time practically makes it usable once per life.
The FA ZZ has 25000 HP, 36 ballistic resist, 32 beam resist and 20 melee resist. It has high HP and great ranged resistances, but melee resistance is poor. It gets LV2 Anti Beam Coating, LV1 Damage Control and LV1 Resist Move for defensive skills. This beam coating skill blocks beam instant staggers and reduces beam damage taken by 30%, but the effect expires when your HP drops below 50%. Furthermore, your current beam defence is multiplied by 0.7 as a penalty once it expires.
In terms of mobility it has 110 (135) walk speed, 200 (230) boost speed, 60 (-50% usage) thrust and 66 (81) turning speed. It has mediocre mobility before Biosensor activates, but afterwards is incredibly nimble. It also has LV1 Forced Injector.
When Biosensor J activates you get the aforementioned mobility buffs in brackets, but furthermore you get; +50 melee modifier, 20% less stagger value taken, -50% damage taken while swinging your saber, LV1 Maneuver Armor, LV1 Offence System and -25% thrust used for Resist Move.
Overall I feel that the FA ZZ Gundam has been much improved after this buff. The actual weapons themselves did not change, but the MS mobility and defensive stats being improved makes it much easier to use. Using the waist high mega, head high mega and linked fire modes all together have very high potential, I think this suit will be incredibly strong for a player who can master using them to the fullest. I don't think it is as strong as the Kshatriya, but it might have the potential to be the 2nd strongest 700 support. Thanks for watching, and I hope that you enjoyed it!

Dang, this suit just came out not too long ago & theyve already buffed it? Guess im not surprised since most 700 Raids are busted & it's only a matter of time before a LV3 S Gundam pulls up to the f-fest that is 700 cost.

I expected it to get buffed but maybe 2-3 months after release, not after just 1 lol. The devs did say that they got a ton of requests to buff it in a survey they did so they probably made an exception for it. TBH I think if they nerfed Sinanju Stein, Nu Gundam FF and Kshatriya (just a little bit for Kshat) then the cost would be very well balanced. I don't mind Banshee and Enhanced ZZ since they are most dangerous at melee range rather than long range.

S Gundam at level 3 wouldn't even be viable afaik - it can barely compete at 600 due to how strong 600 generals and supports are, but it's still strong there, ofc. At 700, though? It's a very large target with mediocre survivability and subpar shooting.

@@Zaku_Meister @awildbluedestinyunit1appea333 Stein needs nerfs in my opinion cause of the midrange ability and survivability. The beam rifle has incredible long range DPS and staggers in just two shots, making it incredible at shooting supports to death at long range or as a way to wall out incoming generals. It has a powerful bazooka and decent vulcans as well, it can always be shooting you and stunning you. At half HP it takes -50% less damage from melee attacks, making it very difficult for melee focused generals to quickly take it out. It is even more difficult to take out cause of the fuel tank purge on top of this. You can activate this at the same time as you can a dodge roll or melee swing, it grants you long iFrames while also firing two heavy stagger projectiles that have huge splash damage. This is basically a get out of jail free card, in situations where any other raid would be done for the Stein can just completely turn the tables on you and win that encounter at the cost of using up the once per life purge. If you have the half HP stat boost activated, you can even fully confirm a heavy attack if you heavy stagger them with the fuel tanks. Apart from that it also has excellent mobility, retreating ability and heavy attack spam ability. But those pale in comparison to what I mentioned above.

I love the buff for this, and definitely don't regret rolling for it (though a shooty 650 unit with multiple stat-boosting skills would have been exactly what id have made if they let me design a suit). The change in the beam coating, HP, and melee defense make a pretty huge difference. I know it'd be really tricky to implement with how technologically dayed this game is, it feels weird that the Biosensor mode is supposed to be a stand-in for the EZZ shedding its armor, yet its still wearing it and even firing the belly beam for the special counter. I guess its time to finally get used to playing more aggressive support units and judging the giant swords, as I failed to ever learn with the Sazabi. And give yhe Dag Doll a buff. No Resonance mode, no Resist Move despite being a suit so nimble it does Yoga, a touchpad skill thats severely underwhelming and hard to time, and loss if being the 700 support with a melee gimmick (though the spear still catches people off guard well).

Yeah the armor shed thing feels like, if they could have done it then we would have seen it already. Chobham Alex was a prime candidate but they implemented it via stats only, losing the benefits of the skill at half HP. Dag Doll yeah I think it is definitely about time. There is no question that it is the weakest 700 cost LV1 support, I don't think it is like bad though. Just sorta mid. If I had the choice to buff it any way I wanted, then I would give it; 75 second cooldown time on touchpad mode before you can use it again, resist move, 2600 power on the regular beam saber, 2500 power on the beam rifle, 75% heat on the beam rifle, 18 seconds overheat time on the shield cannon, 15%x4 stagger value on the shield cannon, 0.77 seconds swap time on the spear, 60 ammo for the vulcans and 200m range for the vulcans. A resonance mode would be really cool, especially since the Dag Doll's rival suit got the Psycho Plate Resonance skill. It would only be fair really, but I am not sure what that skill could buff exactly. Cooldown times I dunno cause the funnel overheat times are short already, but maybe you could use them while boosting while in resonance mode. Alongside a mobility+all round minor stats buff.

Before I didn't really see a reason to use this over the FAZZ which can bully generals on the front line due to it being nearly impossible to stun. Now it really does seem like a shooting focused ZZ Gundam.

I’m not surprised it got buffed this soon, it’s a major release and was a highly anticipated unit but it just felt weak at release. Like, it had all the components to be amazing there but it was missing something across the board. Awkward defense stats, some cooldowns didn’t align, and so, so slow which is like a death sentence at 700. It’s better now for sure, though I would y mind a few more tweaks.

It didn't affect your performance very much, but I feel like you overheated the beams a bit often when you didn't need to. Any particular reason for it?

Sometimes I just mistime it and fire like a split second too early, overheating by mistake. But I don't really mind overheating the beam rifle if a good opportunity arises, cause it is only 15 seconds overheat time.

Honestly yeah. It had some strong points but it felt like they held it back on purpose, especially compared to what other suits get. Only having 50 thrust being one of those examples.

Good, should make it more reliable. I am not sure if it really needed it but it helps it to keep up a little bit with powercreep from the Kshatriya.

@@davidarreola965 That is basically the recovery/end lag where you are stopped in place after firing the cannon and can't do anything. The wording might be confusing cause it isn't talking about the lock on funnels or follow funnels, but the funnels when they are used as a cannon while attached to the suit. I actually missed that part of the buffs but it should make comboing from that cannon much more smooth.

it feels like unstoppable beast when playing ezz, even when your whole enemy hard focusing you can't stop it from slaughtering their support , glad I got it from play rewards on pc
