If you have a gem car that has seen the UV light generated by the sun then your clearcoat (it is one word) is peeling. depending on how much sunlight your car had to deal with will be the deciding factor on how easily your clearcote comes off. your clearcote will stick if covered by trim or a licence plate or a hood sticker or even under the fold between the headlights. the more UV the more easily the clearcoat will come off.
