The smile on your face says it all young lady. It's the smile I've seen on women's faces when they hear Bobby Hatfield sing for the first time for 50 years now. My wife and I danced to this at our wedding 50 years ago and again at our 50th anniversary last May. The Righteous Brothers are a timeless duo and their music will go on forever.

That was Mr. Bobby Hatfield. Sadly, he passed away, but his partner, Mr. Bill Medley is still out there singing and keeping the flames of their songs together going. This particular song is sung by Bobby as a solo, and it was an instant hit and testing the hands of time.

beautiful reaction to a beautiful performance....... I've watched dozens of people react to this song and it's always so touching when you can tell that the reactor really gets it. I'm sure lots of artists have done this song over the years but I doubt anyone could top this particular take. Back in the day when very few artists wrote their own songs, the trick was to match the song to the right artist/singer and it's not every day you get a perfect match like this one.

There are 2 Righteous Brothers, (they are not actual brothers) and they sing fabulously together. Imagine my surprise when noticing that my recommendation was taken to heart. It's a beautiful song and his singing is phenomenal. Happy for you and thank you for the reaction. I've seen a few that's recommending Bridge over troubled waters with Simon & Garfunkel, and even though it's a great song and one of their most famous, i would argue that their song America has more feeling. The melody rise in that song always gives me goosebumps.

No one else’s version comes near Bobby’s. Bill is just as talented and they are not brothers. They were called Blue eyed soul and every colour woman loved those voices. The Andy Williams Show- Episode #4.5 Episode aired: Monday, Oct 25, 1965: Robert Lee Hatfield (August 10, 1940 - November 5, 2003) Bobby Hatfield, who had a higher countertenor voice to Bill Medley’s, William Thomas Medley (born September 19, 1940) baritone, sang lead on this track. It was his idea to record it, since Medley and Hatfield were each allowed to choose a song to sing as a solo vocalist on their albums. As Medley tells it, Hatfield knew the song well, and was a big fan of the Roy Hamilton and Al Hibbler versions of the song. *In Nov. 2003 Hatfield died of a heart attack at age 63. The Righteous Brothers version was a huge hit, but it was recorded with far more modest expectations. Phil Spector considered it album filler and released it as a B-side. The single had "Unchained Melody," with no producer credit on the label, as the flip to Gerry Goffin and Carole King's "Hung on You," but many DJs preferred "Unchained Melody" and played that one instead. This was no easy task, since with a maximum of four tracks to work with, you had to record over part of the original take, but Medley accommodated and Hatfield delivered that soaring vocal line. Said Medley: "I punched that in and before he left he said, 'No, I can do it better. ’And I said, 'No, you can't.' [Laughs] And I think it's a big part of that song." * This was released on Philles Records, Phil Spector's label. Spector, known for his "Wall Of Sound" technique, did not produce this - Bill Medley did. In a 2007 statement to the Forgotten Hits newsletter, Medley said: "You have to remember that I was producing our stuff before Phil Spector... I mean I produced 'Little Latin Lupe Lu,' 'My Babe' and all that stuff. Then when we went with Phil, Phil asked me if I would produce the albums because it was too time consuming for him to produce the entire albums. I would love to see your reaction to Elvin Bishop performing Fooled Around and Fell In Love with the legendary Mickey Thomas on vocals. Probably the best version is the live performance on The Midnight Special in 1975. The song is great because of the twist in the chorus but the vocals live are another level. My mom used to really bust me for saying "like" all the time. it's a filler word, similar to 'um', 'I'm all', 'you know', 'stuff'... those kinds of words. It really grates on older people's nerves lol. You're actually doing yourself a huge favor by working to eliminate the use of that kind of speech from your daily use. It will serve you well in any professional endeavor. I love your reactions and I agree with you, well dressed men are wonderful to see.
