Gentle Morning Warm Up-Tai Chi movements in a stationary position with no stepping required. Perfect if you have any balance issues or want a gentle warm up to begin your day. I designed this routine to let you practice 5 important tai chi techniques without having to transition with a step between movements. All 8 fundamental Tai Chi energies will be used in this routine, including Split, Press, Roll Back, Elbow Strike, Push, Pluck, Shoulder Strike, and Ward Off. In the Walking Code, these same patterns of movement are used for optimal walking technique. I will take you through a few transitions from the Tai Chi movements into normal standing posture and normal walking. Learn to mobilize your core properly for fluid movement and proper spinal alignment. This will help you walk with lower impact on your joints. ]This is great for seniors or people with balance and mobility issues.
I will not review the specific core movements in this shortened video. If you are interested in the full video with core movement details, it is available for Members Only. You can join as a member by clicking the Join button.
