Gentle Morning Warm Up-Tai Chi movements in a stationary position with no stepping required. Perfect if you have any balance issues or want a gentle warm up to begin your day. I designed this routine to let you practice 5 important tai chi techniques without having to transition with a step between movements. All 8 fundamental Tai Chi energies will be used in this routine, including Split, Press, Roll Back, Elbow Strike, Push, Pluck, Shoulder Strike, and Ward Off. In the Walking Code, these same patterns of movement are used for optimal walking technique. I will take you through a few transitions from the Tai Chi movements into normal standing posture and normal walking. Learn to mobilize your core properly for fluid movement and proper spinal alignment. This will help you walk with lower impact on your joints. ]This is great for seniors or people with balance and mobility issues.

I did this over 20 years ago. Changed my life. But somehow I got sidetracked and everything went for a shit. I had 2 spine surgeries a few years ago. I’ll never be the same. Ooo, I’ve been thinking of trying this. Just to increase body consciousness and flexibility. Looks wonderful and doable.Very gracefully done and the music was nice too. We will try it tomorrow. Thank you from Northern California.

Hi I have just seen a video of myself walking and aside from being duck footed. I have noticed I pick my legs up really high almost like I am stepping over something I can’t explain it but it looks really awkward and I dont know why I do it. Do you have any advice on how to fix this?

The duck foot issue is primarily an issue if you powering the swing through by actively lifting your swing leg up rather than powering it from the standing leg. So, it would make sense that you might be over/lifting your swing leg. I suggest learning how to power the swing through from your standing leg. My videos have a lot of instruction on that. That would help with your duck feet.
