On May 20th 2016 Nicole Vanderheyden and her boyfriend Doug Detrie went out on the town, Nicole never returned home after they got separated. Doug called in a missing persons report the next day. That same day a 911 call was received of a body found. The body was Nicole Vanderheyen. Doug Detrie was originally arrested for the murder of Nicole. However, as more evidence came to light, investigators narrowed in on George Burch after finding his DNA on Nicole's sock.
George Burch was charged and sentenced to life without parole in the murder of Nicole Vanderheyen.

Ok I’m only about 1/4 of the way through, but does this woman even know what homicide means? Because she has absolutely zero reaction anytime the detective mentions it. Like I know she’s still mad about her car, but I’d be like “Oh my god, I can’t believe this,” or “Oh that poor woman, I saw that on the news, omg I can’t believe it was Steve,” or “Holy cow, he killed someone and then stayed in our house,” etc. etc. She just keeps reacting like the detective is talking about what he had for lunch! 😅 No questions, all monotone like she’s bored, no reactions, and she keeps going back to the car situation. I’m so confused 😅😅 I would be freaking out!

Well gosh darn now. Sure that there's all this hub bub about all this and that what about my blazer that was set a blaze. Now we'll never get to the bottom of all of this. The cigarette butt, bloody rag and gas can in my Jeep. Sure let's forget about solving all this mess.

I don't think her reaction is unusual. She was helpful and informative as can be. She didn't know the murdered girl and it was not the same day as the murders. just saying..

I thought the same exact thing. I assumed that her non-reaction was because she was in shock, and I expected her to break down when the detective first walked out of the room, but nope…. Nothing!! We know she is capable of getting fired up, because it was obvious she was VERY PISSED about the blazer & the lack of response from the police lol. She had about 50 pictures of her car from 2 different days (I think she said). I understand that everyone reacts differently, and she didn’t know him at all before he moved in with them, so I guess the shock & betrayal that I’m expecting may not be there for her. It is pretty crazy tho!

The camera angle has her looking like a Polly pocket in comparison to him. She doesn’t seem overly concerned about the brutal murder that monster committed while living with them, let alone after doing his evil deed. I would be so freaked out.

@@lucanolallo1776 I highly doubt it from watching other crime channels regularly this case. I’m just saying that it’s highly unlikely. Both parents are not ideal to say the least.

Thanks for adding a new case! Two things: 1 I love your playlists so i can watch them in a recommended sequence. Imma wait til the playlist is posted. 2. Just my opinion about the intro. I seems like you’re trying to find a way to personalize, which is cool. I loved to hear the two barks, because i knew it signaled to get ready for something good! I love dog videos, so it took a few times to remember two barks didn’t mean there’s an upcoming animal vid. I hope you keep looking for an intro, because I really, really dislike the scream and heart beat. It makes my body react in unpleasant ways. I hate just giving a negative critique without giving a positive suggestion, so here are some parameters id recommend: something that people LIKE to hear and denotes anticipation. Example: something I love is the sound of a beverage can opening and a sigh of satisfaction. Yah know? But at least I agree that a scream is more on point for the genre than a lovable bark. I’d recommend just something that is unique to YOU. And finally, I love how you keep the intro SHORT. 👍

It all makes sense now. Jordan and Garbage George had a fight, he goes to bar angry and fate crossed his and Nicole’s paths that night. It’s sad how so many things could have changed the course of events that night…. But eventually someone was going to fall victim to the garbage named George

Uhm speak for yourself. I for one want to see all of these...I want to hear from those who know the killer. It's OK if you don't like it then just don't watch it but don't get mad about something that other people might want to see...
