Thanks for this. I'm always thankful that I got exposed to George Duke in HS (I have all those BASF vinyl albums) and was able to see him work his magic up close in a live set when I could go to clubs. This man and his music will always be special to me a talented and beautiful soul gone too soon.

Through the years given lifes "twists and turns" we somehow get torn away or diverted from the "true joys" afforded us by such prolific, extremely talented, once in a lifetime artists like Mr. Duke. While saddened at his passing....I intend to celebrate his life and memory by listening to the incredible and vast array of music he gifted us with. Rest in heaven George. You and you're music will always be....."right by our side."

So happy that I was able to see this legend perform twice. His body of work is amazing , thank God there is so much of it, his music will live on forever, along with his spirit. How I loved this man.
Man, I loved this guy. Very moving considering all he was enduring at that time. I hate I never met him in this life. Stanley is one of my all time favorites as well.

I love this performance so much! These two songs had been my all-time favourites since I was little. So sad that I never get the chance to see him performing. :( Rest in peace, George Duke. You will be missed.
