I totally agree. If you're a real George Jones fan, for his memorial they had Vince Gill and Patty loveless singing and if you can watch that without crying then you've got a heart of Stone. Long live George in our hearts

@@aliceforshee4631 I had the chance to see him live back in the 60's. But that was when he was having a problem with the bottle and he didn't show up for the show. My uncle worked for a radio station and I would have been able to go back stage and meet him. I've so regretted not getting to see him live. He's always been my favorite country singer. What a legend!❤️
My wife and I saw him live twice year's ago sadly she passed away last month cancer we played this , she loved a lot in her time,shine on still makes me cry some day they'll play He Stopped Loving Her Today😢
One of my grandma's favorites here. Haha I remember she was so confused and excited how I could pull up anyone on her big screen on RU-vid, anytime she wanted to listen. She was like what is this sorcery? She would come get me from my room and ask me, can you bring up George for me on there, or Johnny Cash, Elvis, Joe Diffie, etc. She loved her some country! I miss hearing her sing these classics! Lost her last November at 83 due to Covid, but with her dementia she hadn't been herself for so long,...
@@thomasdiaz7918 yes, she loved listening to music, and she was always singing when she was cooking or cleaning. She was a strong person, she raised 10 kids, had 11 but one died at a couple weeks old,...and she took care of a lot of grandkids while our parents worked. Anytime we got in trouble, she not only would whip us with a switch, but would let another kid go pick it for us. 🤷♀️ She was something haha.

no type of music ever made me before until i heard this song in 2017, been a fan ever since, i can’t go about my day without at least some Jones, this song reminds me of my ex fiancée, cause i used to spend my nights love in a barroom until i met her 🍻

David Allan Coe did the original cut of this great Dean Dillon / Linda Hargrove tune, however Jones made it a hit and does the best version. Stapleton's version is trash if you ask me. It's not even the same song, just the same lyrics!
