Please tell those in charge to stop people from touching the horse. The guard cannot do his job when he has to keep a look out what people are doing. I feel so sorry for the horses.
There should be an on the spot fine issued by the Police for this and any Disrespectful behaviour directed towards the Horse or the Guard. I’m Appalled that they are allowed to show such Disrespect towards our Soldiers and the Abuse of the Horses makes me So Mad. Time to Demand RESPECT from these Tourists….We have become a “ Laughing stock “ around the World 😡
@@shawnhierlihy3690 I can clearly read and understand the signs that states ‘do not touch the reins’ which had nothing to do with my comment which related to the why do people mill around touching the horses. The public touch the horses because they have not been told otherwise.
I love how the one police officer touched his hat in salute to the guard when he rode past! As others have commented, I too love the way the guard is super aware of what the tourists are doing and ever on the ready to protect his horse. Great job, Guard!
This is one of my favorite guards. I call him Eagle Eye. He misses nothing!! Always watching. I truly wish they could make a painted area around them and so one could touch the horse. There's no way they could put up a barrier, too dangerous for the horse. And even if people don't know what reins are, they must know with any common sense that those straps are connected to that horse!!! Why on earth would you grasp hold of them?
I guess they see other people holding the reins and just think it is ok. The way that the tourists invade the personal space of the horse and guard is quite distressing.
The horse watching the police riding by-is thinking " Take me with you" please!! Away from the crowds, noise & rude tourists. Thank you for your videos.
That's exactly what I was thinking! I can't understand why the NOISY crowds get SO close to the horses and Guards - it is so disrespecctful! Most of them have NO idea of the discipline and service required of the Military Forces. I want to shout .... "Off with their heads!" 😊
It's well past time that there should be a Do Not Cross line around the box. Too many people crowding in much too close, still grabbing the reins and making a commotion.
I agree, something has to be done. It's a tricky spot though, the guards on horses face out onto a pavement then it's a main road leading to Trafalgar Square. It's time for some sort of radical solution though, the time has come to severely limit the tourists access to the guards and horses.
In a huge way it is up to the Tour Guides with groups that don't read or speak English to tell them and insist they follow the rules, we see so many huge tour groups coming in all the time so even a mark on the ground would not work and a lot don't care they encourage their groups to do the wrong things at times. Even changing the sign has not stopped them sadly.
I like this guard.....he is always looking out for his horse....there is another one too.....the kicker.....he is always looking out for his horse too!! l
This is the No1 Guard💂…I call him “Kicker”…when they get within an inch of him…they feel the toe of his boot! 😉 He’s totally focused + hates people crowding his horse. Sad to say…Respect is not a behaviour taught at home or school anymore, most of these tourists behave as if they’re at Disney World!
This guard is watching all the time, no one is going to get away with grabbing the reins while he’s on duty, and some of the nails on the wemen are like talons pity the horses .
Living in the west coast of Canada, where there is a large Asian community, I can say that "sorry, sorry" is used frequently. It doesn't mean the person is actually sorry or has any plans to modify their behaviour. It means absolutely nothing.
This young Guard is on the alert - checks left to right, then right to left, that’s a lot of work! It’s clear he really cares for his mount and will stand for no nonsense from crazy overly entitled tourists around his horse. I think that’s also a reason his horse is so calm, the rider is communicating with the horse with his movements, which seem to be reassuring as well as commanding in the right measure. It’s evident the horse trusts the soldier will take care of him.❤️
These well trained horses seem to be aware of who is approaching them. Innocent, little hands are tolerated. Big, dumb adults are more likely to not be tolerated. A well placed nip is a fair warning to those who ignore both written and equine signs of annoyance.
The guard is hyper-alert. It's almost like he expects certain tourists to be more poorly behaved than others. Some seem to be very entitled and think rules don't apply to them
This Guard is protectively watching any interaction the tourists have with his horse. And I’m thinking the horse would love to bite those phones that are shoved in his face, I know I would!
I love to watch this guard he’s one of the best that is constantly watching what the tourists are doing and calling them out. Some guards just ignore the tourists grabbing the reins even with the signs.😡
It’s quite disturbing to watch this - the people are getting right in the horses face - I wonder how they would feel if a total stranger shoved a camera and face in their personal space - one guy actually had his hair in the horses eye he was so close to the horses face - I just feel sad watching this because the guard and the horse just have to tolerate it…I’m not sure what the answer is it’s just so distressing and disrespectful to these magnificent beings and these trained guards….
This Gorgeous Guard reminds me of my late Father (same Regiment) granted the tourists were better in the 1950's he said you got the odd riotous crowd but no where near the amount there are now. These days they have just got to take that perfect photo and God help anyone who stands in their way!. The Guard has the eyes of an Eagle on the alert and ready to pounce!.
I can't help but feel so sorry for the horses and the guards. It has to be so stressful and suffocating. They are not props! These people are just rude. They dont even move for others to get photos Not everyone wants a photo with some goofball trying to act cool, silly or attempting to do some weird form of modeling I almost want to start a petition to keep tourists at least a foot or two away from the horses and guards.
I just love this Guard he takes no shit always alert and never afraid to shout at these disrespectful morons. Thank you for your service Godbless you all ❤️❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
This poor guard is really getting a workout today, constantly rocking side to side trying to watch groping hands & bodies leaning on horse. He will be worn out at days end. Rest well sir.
Love this Guard, he's my favourite. Stands no nonsense and always on alert, especially with that foot of his. I've nicknamed him Boots. I hope you've had a good day Buska.
Top marks that Guard! I had a warm fuzzy feeling watching him as he leant over to see where the grabbing hands were. What a change from usually cringeing as the tourists claw and snatch and hide their hands under the horse's head. Nothing got past this guard though. Thanks Buska for your videos, I love being at Horse Guards Parade with you!!!!
The horse is not a show pony!!!! Not one person as said THANK YOU to the guard!!!! Disrespectful!!!!! Thank you sir, for your service, including your beautiful horse!!!! 🥰🇦🇺🥂
So many people have never been around horses. At a recent farm show I attended there was a horse set up just so kids could climb up steps to his side to pet him. I know my current horse would have applied for that job. And children, when presented safely, need to find some way to connect with animals other than dogs and cats.
@@baseidel I can understand if children are curious, if they haven't seen a horse before, but these people are "adults" they certainly aren't acting like adults.
One of my (most) favorite guards! He’s attentive to his surroundings and making sure no one is too close to him (or his boots lol) & his horse. I love how he stares down at tourists like a hawk & his face expressions says it all! 😂✨ The tourists try to be all sneaky trying to grab the reins thinking he’s not watching them lol! He clearly doesn’t take any nonsense from these pesky tourists! 😂 One thing I noticed recently he’s (constantly) checking side to side (tilting his head or lean/rocking his body a bit) when the tourists are on both sides of the horse. I hope he doesn’t get a headache from it! 😥
It seems Buska that just touching the horse is never enough, now it is Face to Face So what is next we have had trying to kick it, so maybe head butts is on the horizon in which case my money is on the horse. This young Guard is always on the lookout so very well done mate looking after your horse in the best way you can. Keep Safe Keep Strong 🦘🦘🦘🦘💖💖💖💖
If that one Japanese guy got any closer to the horse he'd be mounting it. I'm amazed. Japanese are so respectful, why travel to another country and disregard everything?
No one reads the signs. This guard is the best, he doesn’t miss a trick. I never realized that there are so many rude people. They walk right in front of others who are standing for a picture, no respect for anything or anyone. Laying all over the horses, even touching the guard and if he yells, they look at him like he did something wrong. It’s very disheartening to see the guards and horses have to put up with this mess.
It amazes me people almost put their hands in his mouth. I hold my breath waiting for someone to poke the horse in the eye. They don't even look where they're petting. I would be screaming if I was the guard. I admire their patience.
Like any animal people are exited to see it and pet it but then tourists just because they’re in another country they think rules and manners don’t apply to them.
I don’t know how the guards have so much patience. I wonder what they would say if they were allowed? I think the signs should read, “do not come within two feet of the horse”. That’s my view 😊
😅next they will be asking the guard to get off the horse so that they can have a try!! People so close it's appalling! I agree with other comments saying corden the area off around these horse and guard points.
If I were that horse everyone would be bitten and a few would be stomped as well!!! They act as tho the horse has been placed there for amusement. Crowding the poor soul and constantly touching and shouting. What a patient duo! May all the military men and women (and animals) be safe!! Arizona, USA
Beautifully trained, but those persons think those head swings are cute. I have been clocked by my horses swinging their heads. They are smaller than these Irish Draughts but I saw stars!!
This guerd ,eels his eye on those idiots why do they have to touch the horse it,ust get absolutely fed up. With it. Animals don’t likegetgong touched all the time. Put a barrier up please
That's a lot of hands around the horse's face in one hour. Kudos to the horse and guard for their patience. I couldn't do it and my horse probably would kick me in ass for making her do it.
6:03 MY BLOOD IS BOILING ........Leave the horse alone, he is working for the King, actually those people who touch the horse should spend a month in prison then they will learn what respect is... King's Guard respect what you do, thumbs up
The guards know their horses. They know which of them need watching and protecting and which of them enjoy contact and those who can protect themselves😂 Arnie and Ormonde in particular. The guards just sit on them two and enjoy the ride😂
