Thank you, NDP for making sure Canadians of all ages have access to life-saving medications! Some seniors have to pay $100 for a continuous glucose monitor every ten days for monitoring their type 1 diabetes which extended health coverage through work doesn't cover. People were skipping their medications because it was too expensive. Doctors are hailing this plan because it helps save lives! Please keep fighting for everyday Canadians!
Dr. Tom Elliot the medical director of a diabetes clinic in Vancouver shares his experience "One low-income patient couldn't afford his medication after paying for groceries, and next thing you know he's in the hospital almost dying from severe diabetes complications". This needs to stop in Canada. We must join other countries with universal healthcare that also provides pharmacare.

All I heard was that I am now on the hook for higher taxes because the NDP wants to appear like it's doing something. This is a total nothingburger; the majority of Canadians have some kind of pharmacare coverage already, whether privately or provincially. Want to do something meaningful? Stop supporting Trudeau at the cost of Canadians just to protect your own ego and pension!
No it will not because this is another tax funded thing. Means tax payers pay for it. It will be like the carbon tax. Government takes $3 and then says look how great we are when giving $1 back
