1990 was the first year for plastic headlights. They replaced the previous dual glass headlights. 1990 was also the first year for the limited edition Chevy 454SS pickup & they were produced up through 1993. 1988 was the first year for those OBSs but they only came in plain & new extended cab pickup models at the time because crew cab pickup, SUV, & medium duty series models with the previous square body design were still in production. The square body medium duty series models stayed in production up through 1989, & the square body crew cab pickup & SUV models stayed in production up through 1991.
