100 percent accurate video and voice over.. Absolutely the key to accuracy of spot lock.. This, or any other GPS spot lock trolling motor. Best information I've seen yet. Unbelievably, we see most people set spot lock on the fly, then they call the manufacturer as a faulty product.. Although, sometimes software can be the issue, we all know it's the "on the fly" issue 95 percent of the time.. Thanks for sharing this.

Does the spot lock jog compensate for the boat movement and is it better and more accurate to use this feature as opposed to moving the boat in the manual mode ? Thanks for the great and very informative video

I got my Riptide Ulterra 112 for my 21-foot center console. I know it may be "overkill" for the boat as 21-foot long and weight but in my location, it always needs to fight for strong wind for 20-30km/h and current over 2 knots. I usually I using my boat outboard to doing decelerate to almost 0 over a little bit upwind to the spot that I want, and deploy the motor and let it spot lock. Then because of wind or current your boat will be heading the bow to upwind or facing current direction. Then I use the Jog feature to move back a little bit, it usually hit the spot I want within 30 seconds after the motor had deployed. What is your model? I found it needs a pretty long time to adjust to the spot but mine did it very fast and usually not to overshot the spot.

Thanks Bob, but they still have a long way to go. Our 2019 Ulterra and Helix g2n system needs to have the modality to have both a stern and bow gps points simultaneously. the spotlock will ultimately over time in opposing wind and current spin around and then you have the stern fisherman trying to cast over the head of the bow man. True Story. Any Advice?

Hi I just got me the I pilot terrova. When I push the anchor button it says SL TMP. Then it goes into spotlock but only for maybe 5 minutes then goes out of spotlock. If I dont have the GPS paired would this cause that? Also I'm not seeing the calibration setting on my remote. Any help? Thanks
