Honestly I don’t get why the ghost rider isn’t a big popular hero like captain America, Thor, etc. dudes an averagers level threat, one of if not the top of the food chain characters. Dudes a beast.
Because he's not the traditional hero, has a complicated history, and hasn't gotten a lot of on screen adventures (aside from the 2 movies and guest starring in other shows)
Selling your soul doesn’t sell with the kids. Bring in hell itself… well you can see why he isn’t commercialized. He and the crow are on my top 10 though.
Because people nowadays thought that Liking *Ghost Rider* = redneck + racists + Bike Gangs 🏍️ I’m 3rd world Asian and my first experience to this movie series was 13 years ago through static cable tV. Edit: as i know there is still no sequel after *Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance* and it was a flop but still gained 3x of their production budgets 😂❤
I hope they do him justice in the MCU. I'd rather see they give him less screen time and keep him powerful, than do him like they did Hulk. And he better be an R rated terrifying monster, like in Ghost Rider 2.
You would think he would at least let the riders ride around on the motorcycles through the night while looking for murderers to punish Gotta give some benefit So they don't go take a bath In holy water or something
I've only read one Ghost Rider story, it was in a Marvel Holiday special. He rescued a blind kid who had been kidnapped and brought him home. The kid heard the chain clanking and thought Santa had come to save him.
@@joshishere96 that is facts. It's sad too. They only push the kid friendly superheroes/Anti Heros and villains. But they forget the OGs and the good one's. Like Ghost Rider can also be a Classic and Box office Hit. But they don't see Ghost Rider as worthy enough. They should also make it R-Rated to give him the true quality of his power. Also just a bit longer fights than just 2 min. Let him blow us a away with his full power and potential
@@uniquelyjadedwj imagine ghost rider movies being as dark as underworld, as violent as mortal Kombat, and as action packed as the avengers. Bro, that's a box office already. But no everything is sunshine rainbow because society be closed minded. It's as equivalent of rejecting metal music on the radio.
@@joshishere96 my guy that will be a awesome movie and that is what ghost rider really needs. Will blow up and big too. But yeah I also am against this no metal on the radio like why not. Its the best genre out there. Nothing can even come close to it. But same with the gore and the stuff on RU-vid too. Like you play a game shoot the npc too much blood they demonize the video. Then they show you a add of a horror movie or action movie. Heads get chopped of and it gorey like crazy and nothing is then done about that. Can't complain tho I'm a sucker for good gore in a movie. But this world seems to have a problem with it. But they can show you sex, drugs, demons, devils and ect but complain about the small things.
Say what you will about Nick Cage, but the Rider scenes where he’s fully transformed is just badass. And even the end of the first GR versus Blackheart was really dope.
In the main 616 Johnny and other Riders can enter holy places due to most spirits being angelic beings and in Zarathos’s case being an entity of unknown origin he could bypass a barrier meant to repel the agents of heaven and hell
@@thedog1368 99% of all Ghost Rider stories take place in Marvels main 616 continuity, the exceptions being Ultimate Marvel and the occasional “What If” but we haven’t seen Ultimate or WI in over a deacade
@@thedog1368 the MCU isn’t the real 616, the real 616 is the comic continuity that was started in the 1930’s by Jack Kirby that continues in the comics today, Disney fucked up when they started calling the MCU “616”
@@gcell10 "Was" is the right word for that. They're not just fvckers, but they're also the owners which means they have the power to change the universe. So MCU is the "616".
First off the spirit itself protects the innocent and didn’t like mephisto in the first place and before all that he was an angel too It was not Johnny who protected the ppl but Zoratos himself Johnny just learn how to properly control when and how he turns
I remember reading that the ONLY thing capable of harming ghost rider, is a weapon/item forged in heaven itself. Basicly, unless you have the armory of heaven itself, you ain't touching ghost rider.
Source of his power? Hell fire from hell Originally he was the angel of vengeance but he was captured in hell and his mind was driven insane and he was remade ghost rider the devil's bounty hunter
for context Satan was " the seal of perfection, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty." .... Imagine the embodiment of divine wrath... hate of evil in a distilled form... seal of retribution for innocence, full of fury, perfect in vengeance.
2:57 Hellfire doesn't burn you physically but it can actually burn the actual soul of you which is freaking broken and his intangible hellfire flame that can burn your very soul.
Since the old ghost rider used a horse does that mean ghost ruder can transform an animal if he's riding it? Can he make an animal change even if he's not? What are the limits to that ability? Could he transform godzilla or is that too big?
There was a caveman who became ghost rider in the comics he turned his wooly mammoth into one so its not too big ghost rider can turn literally anything into his weapon or ride the movies don't show even a fraction of his power that is shown in the comics he can also make weapons appear out of no where he can also duplicate himself and he can also grow to be a giant not to mention he can travel to other dimensions and even space there are 2 comics where he kills thanos one comics he decapitated thanis and pisses fire on his body
Johnny wasn’t really the first ghost rider, carter slade was, however his name was later changed to the phantom rider after they came out with Johnny blaze, carter slade is literally teaching Johnny in the first ghost rider movie
Imagine if Johnny Storm from the fantastic 4 got to be the ghost rider. He’d be damned near invincible and a cosmic infernal entity, able to create supernovas of hellfire, be composed entirely of a hellfire plasma that just gets stronger, fly’s and quite possibly could manifest weapons made purely of flame, like a green lantern creating constructs with will and imagination.
@@BlueKatanaWarrior happy to inspire. Another great idea I’ve had is Tony stark with the crimson gem of Cyttorak: Iron Juggernaut. He presents himself to the public as a humanitarian, but in secret he is the leader of a powerful weapons manufacturing empire.
I loved the video! Not many ppl know this but GR has an extremely rare hability that only 4 or 5 superheroes and villains have. Here me out: You know when Wanda maximoff or Dr strange change realities in the universe in his favor. Like changing something on the timeliness or some acts that change the entire reality? Well GR can't be changed. Even if you go back in time and change something to try to scape he or she can evade this and still be aware of your change. Even Wanda trying to change the reality to make GR forget or not be in a place can't make a difference. So that. That's one of the most broken habilities 🥰. Amazing character.
Rule #1 of villainous conduct in the comicverse: Never mess with an anthropomorphic manifestation of human emotion or principles. Sure, Hulk or Superman are strong and will cripple or kill you with ease, but if you run afoul of Ghost Rider, or one of the Endless, it's gonna go even worse for you.
The source of his power is an Angel of Justice, Zerathos, who was dragged to Hell and forced to watched all the terrible things man is capable of Instead of wasting humanity, he was tuned into an Angel of Vengeance and would punish the wicked The Hellfire and chains are a side effect of being dragged to Hell
Most people don’t, that’s why he’s not nearly as popular as other hero’s or villains 😢 I wish marvel would promote him more and explain more about him to the audience.
…Magic…that’s it just Magic there’s no logically way to explain it. Edit Oh and by the way the Penance Stare did work on Deadpool Johnny was just trying to show him something not kill him as for Punisher it worked on him in a later story during the one where they fought Frank was most likely being protected by some religious object he was carrying around the only way to survive the Penance Stare is if you’re blind, don’t have a soul, if Johnny/Zarathos decide not to kill you or if you’re a total freak like Thanos who gets off on that shit.
Zarathose is an angel, not a demon. THE spirit of vengeance. Edit: also, while it is cannon, the no remorse clause to the Penance Stair it dumb because there would be a lot more that have no remorse than just those two.
Need a director that’s very familiar with the 1990s version of GR and knows how to produce a serious dark gothic vibe. The movie should seem very mature and serious. Not comical like the last. Needs a vibe similar to the Terminator films by James Cameron, or a scary vibe like original Halloween movie, a very SERIOUS vibe for a ghost rider movie. Rated R. Parent accompanied recommended
loved that period. Blackout kills Dan, draining him and the spirit takes over what's left of him. they could do Johnny series, eventually land the plane and pass the torch onto to Dan.
The video was really good but im kinda sad he didnt touch on the ghost rider that was in agents of shield even though probably insignificant to the comics its the closest we have to a mcu ghost rider and i like him in it even if he is a bit cheesey with the lines but he's still a strong being and needed for the episode he's in, only one to give aida a run for her money before she destroyed the agents
The statement about punisher and deadpool being immune to the stare due to the fact that they have no remorse for their actions is false. The penance stare will work just so long as the recipient has a soul, which is something both punisher and deadpool have. Even Thanos has a soul, believe it or not. Anyway, no one is immune to the stare because everyone has a soul, and that's all that's needed for the stare to have any effect on the individual on the receiving end. Plus, it makes no sense that Punisher and Deadpool are immune to the stare if someone like GALACTUS isn't immune.
In the first movie Johny got to a point where he can control the transformation and be in control of it but then the second movie he couldn't control either of them and I got confused by that
I personally think Johnny blaze has some powers in human form. Nothing major but i yhink hes got some extra survivability in his human form. I mean it would make sense that he would be able to take a little bit more punishment then others as it would defeat the point if he died too easily.
Hellfire in Marvel isn't regular fire. It can transform objects as he sees fit. When it does burn it burns both the person and their soul. Being that he controls the hell fire, it only burns what he wants to burn, otherwise everything would be on fire around him all the time.
“Can Ghost Rider Reproduce? Everyone of my videos is about that now. DESPITE THE THUMBNAIL.” I still like the videos though. The question is just getting old bc most of us don’t gAs. lol I love the power explanations. I could never think up things this brilliant. The comics I mean.
These latest movies do GR no justice. There needs to be a new ghost rider movie produced what has a dark horror vibe. These latest movies seem COMICAL.
And i think ghost rider and spawn would make for a cool ass fight but i think the power difference would be to gapped, and im not sure but ion think spawn has a soul so it wont be over just by a gaze in the eyes 🤔
I like the idea ghost rider HAS immense speed, but never uses it to actually be fast he just uses it to hit WAY harder so even hes like "holy shit that chain just demolished oops"
We need a new mcu ghost rider with better actors for the villains and a better perspective on those characters. Ghost rider will steal the show regardless. The gothic look for this movie kinda makes me cringe but I try to look passed it because ghost rider is so cool
This ghost rider is the new ghost rider of the 90s. Igrew up reading the original Johnny blaze books where it could create a bike out of flame and he was like hulk where he would become gr when he got angry. I can see marvels homage to evel kenevel
i hope i see a midnight sons movie in futtue of MCU because now we have doctor strange, blade, moon knight, morbius,, punisher and some others now the only person who need a reboot in GOST RIDER
Ghost Rider has gotta be in my top 3 Favorite Marvel characters ever, along with Moon Knight and Doctor Strange. Ghost Rider is the definition of BADASS !!!
GHOST RIDER is basically the Grimm reaper especially when it comes to inspiration. BUT I love the concept & good ideas added to the mythical Greek character, the idea of it being a coming & going curse, that he learns to control and it's evil to some extent, punishing other evil. The film is maligned, but I always like it, very good cgi fx for the skull & flame, the American sub-culture of bikers, and the hispanic thing all working well together, plus religion as well, such a shame there was never a good sequel
Would Ghost Rider be able to lift or use Thor's hammer. as betta ray bill has shown us even those that live on other planets can use Thor's hammer. Or does Ghost Rider's , Spirit of Vengeance prevent him from lifting or using it. Could he possibly get past that by him attempting to obtain it by using his human host?
In regards to the penance stare. Its utility is dependent on the writers of each storyline unfortunately. The true power of it is it takes all the pain and suffering you have brought to others and it throws it back onto you and that is what destroys you. Thats why galactis was beaten by it. The whole "punisher and deadpool dont regret their actions" is bullshit. The stare doesn't care if you regret it or not, it still affects you.
The Is an angel corrupted by human malice. Spirit of Vengeance Was like a warrior who took Justice against those who weren't against God and his people. The angel was not vicious, but in fact benevolent. Punishing those who have done wrong like a father and child relationship. I don't know the exact story but either Satan or tricked or trapped the angel. Since the angel became wrathful and uncontrollable. Despite being filled with the evil or malice of mankind which Satan has control over. Satan was afraid that it will one day, it will break free and take vengeance upon the greatest evil. So in order to control and distract the spirit Satan would make a contract and bind it to a human. The easiest way to explain like Superman becoming Batman. I mean something had to happen for Superman to become that dark.
Mcu does have a ghost rider sadly it’s just not this ghost rider we see in this video this is what we call the REAL ghost rider.. cuz the mcu one is probably gonna get ruined the second Disney starting focusing on ghost rider
Ghost Rider is the best comic character EVER. Wish they would do a movie that really shows what he is capable of, not drastically under powered the entire MCU.
