@@werewolfchickLook at the comics. You can see his face. But *this* Ghost in particular has the same facial structure as the voice actor (if you pay close attention, so just look up the voice actor in Google, and that’s this version of Simon.
@@choosey8057 hell nah his new one somthing some air soft player would wear and he don’t wear glasses it isn’t even ghost it’s another character in cod with a skull mask smh
@@Tinywarriorhippo ok..... and? What does that have to do with the price of tea in China?🇨🇳🍵 Just because they can bastardize whatever they want and make it canon doesn't mean they should. Also alternate universe/timeline doesn't make shallow race swaps of characters in an already well established medium good.🤷♂️ Different universe cop-out is a common defense for people who can't come up with original new things that also align with the established canon. Modern comics, games, and media are riddled with bad writers who can't make their own new stuff or continue old things in a way that fits with canon so they instead vampire off established names and rely on alternate universe shield to placate and deflect. I would much rather them introduce new interesting characters of the race/sex/background they desire to represent rather than altering an existing character. I enjoyed Farah, Alejandro, Valeria, etc, as they were new and compelling rather than retroactively changing established characters race for seemingly no reason. Gaz was shallow race-swap and it didn't even add anything compelling or interesting to the story in doing so, just a shallow surface re-skin and sucked imo.
@@Ancient_Entity first off everyone’s entitled to their opinions, but i enjoyed the new Gaz and he fits pretty well with the new team, i don’t think it’s bastardizing anything, its new and it works
@@Tinywarriorhippo I said *imo* and wjat i liked and disliked... wasn't trying to state my perspective as fact or truth... I just personally feel race swap in general is just shallow shilling 90% of the time in any media... so not sure why you feel the need to say the obvious in that "everyone is entitled to their opinions" as I never once said you were wrong or I was right and feel the same way, remember you are the one who @ me refuting me liking that soap was not race swapped by saying they could have done whatever they wanted and just made it canon. I just felt the change added nothing, just a change for the sake of changing and virtue points... had they added a new member and had that same exact player model and backstory as the new gaz while keeping the original Gaz the way everyone already enjoyed him rather than vampiring off of his established character to introduce a totally different person I would feel different. I would be more than happy to get enveloped in more new diverse characters... but they essentially erased a beloved character of the franchise in the original Gaz for essentially no reason as changing his character didn't improve or add to the story in any way at all... again *IMO*
I think it's been mentioned that this version of Ghost has a knack for making Skull patterned masks. So it would make sense that he would just have a bunch of masks for himself to wear in case the one he wears gets damaged or lost
price: ghost!? GHOST!? There you are... hey, ive a plan... following? ghost: fine... whats up? price: ok... we aregonna take graves down, and we need to all be a team... ghost: no shit, but ok, what of it? price: we need masks so we know who's who... ghost: uhhh, ok... ill get some outta the stora- price: we need skull masks... ghost: ...what..? price: like yours!! ya know... skulls... ghost team!! hurry on the the clock I have the masks and some chalk already just get to it!! *ghost in the back scribbling fast as possible on the masks*
The fact he says “good to see you again Simon” clearly proves Price is probably one of the VERY few people to see ghost without his mask but also kinda means Simon and ghost are simply 2 different people in the same body
Seeing how master chief took his mask off at the end of the first episode in the halo show I do not want to see a COD show and they ruin the intrigue of ghost
I love when people notice that ghost taking off his mask actually had meaning. He took off his to show them the importance the mission had and putting on a new one that wasnt his, shows he isnt just Ghost, theyre all ghost now.
He didn't want to be different from everyone else. In order to build trust, he needed everyone to see him for who he is, and then don the same mask that they're all wearing. Completely agree.
I am Spartacus - Ghost Team probably Also the mask thing is what i hated about the halo live action show, the mask came off every 17.2 seconds it was on!
@@albertomartinez6404what did you apply for? If you go for infantry if you state that to the recruiter you'll most likely be put I infantry ( depending on the branch haha )
Because Simon created Ghost, Simon is still the scared child he was when he was with his family and enlistment, he created Ghost as someone who is scared of nothing, can do anything, someone to look up to
I like the little detail that Alejandro is the first one to take a mask after Price and Ghost. Shows how much trust he has in 141 after so little time.
Just notice Price has the strongest hack an military person could ever want... his bucket hat is perfectly peaked for vision and sun protection at the same time.
Haha. Didn't think it'd get this far. Just one Veteran that appreciated a well behaving hat to the community out here. Believe me, it's the little things. ❤️.
I dont know why but I imagined they all complaining about the masks size, and the eyes holes, and then Ghost get angry because his wife spent the whole night doing it for them 😅
These next gem graphics are just unreal. For like 10 seconds I thought this was live action until I caught on to it being animated. The future is now!!
@@warsaver9747 God, no. His entire persona is built around the mystique of his character. There are plenty of ways to achieve a meaningful end to his character arc without throwing that away.
@@THEPISSPALADIN… istg americans lmao. you could technically say that being scottish makes you british, as it’s in britain. you should say that ghost is english. i’m british but i’m welsh meaning i’m not even from the same country as ghost. there’s hundreds of accents in britain
Always loved seeing the reaction of everyone’s face in that clip, everyone smiles, but it’s not the smile of “that’s his face” it’s the smile of “I’ll be damned, it still feels the same with or without the mask” man is cold asf.
I don’t think Graves is actually dead, because we never got a visual ID on his corpse. That and he wasn’t freaking out as the tank was taking more and more damage
Price and Ghost. The most loved characters all time and Soap ( sorry my memory is blurred as I was pretty young to remember who else was important in the OG cod campaigns )
Simon is like Master Chief 117 in call of duty. Absolute legend been in alot of thier previous games and thier face is always hidden. The closest we get to see is thier eyes and back of their heads
This scene gave me chills. I love the attention to detail on ghosts eyes, his emotion. I love how in the night vision scene his pupils are huge his eyes are almost black, here they're beautiful brown and his eyelashes are detailed against the face paint .. This campaign is so good.
i like to imagine that ghost just carries around a little bag of skull masks just in case something happens, like he just has like 20 of them on him at all time
@@stormhought in today's society all around would rather be cause you blacks paint quite the image with your I can't breathe slogans and your blood and crip groups lol
@@Ben-sv4ke i mean, Comics? Ik thats the og MW so its not his really dirty blonde look everyone is thinking but i meaaan? He still comes from the same place and parents even in this timeline. So ye.
Played this campaign on the hardest difficulty. There were parts that took me genuine hours to finish. I think the hardest for me was right when graves betrayed the player and you had to go through the city wounded and having to pick up scraps.
Ghost is meant to represent the poor soldiers who have to split their personalities to survive and endure the things they witness. It sounds badass.. but in reality its deeply tragic. These men lose a part of themselves to become something new. There is never a chance for them to turn back, once they start down it there is no looking back.
Well for people who do have a fragmented personality, there is a way back. MDMA assisted PTSD therapy has made great strides in helping people suffering even with treatment resistant PTSD. It can help therapists and trained clinicians merge the personalities back into one, even when they’re split at a less than conscious level, helping the person become whole again. It’s an amazing treatment
@@diskotekdisko8592 well for Some one in the outside looking in, who doesn’t know the full CoD lore, this clip would portray that kind of theme with the character
@domonator5000 we just call that "Making things up". Which is fine. Just don't claim it as an intent of another when it comes from your head. "To me I think that..." would also be fine.
