Awesome! Looks great! I remember the original release of this kit in 1990. I was 14 years old, and saw it at a Kay Bee toy store at my local mall. Had to have it! Finished it, and still looks good to this day.
Doug, Question, Have you used the testor acrylic washes any? If so, what is your opinion of them. I bought the black wash but have yet to use it on a project yet.
WH, I haven't tried their brand yet but I found most other premixed washes to be a bit thin. If you need heavy wash emphasis it takes repeated applications! -Doug
Looks great! I got stuck on the glass installation in step 5 of the manual. Namely, I was confused about how Part 110 figures in. There do not seem to be notches for it. How is is supposed to fit with the glass, and is supposed to hold the glass into the frame? We're nearly done (after months) and want to get it right!
David, Part 110 is the rearview (panoramic) mirror. Just like the one in your car only wider. Just glue it into the position where a regular rearview mirror would go! -PS, please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers! -Doug
I was a little disappointed that it didn’t have the proton pack rack with little proton packs. I would have love taken the time to paint those up (even though, they would have been tiny)
David, If you're asking, does it come with paint? The answer is no. If your asking does it tell you what colors to use, the answer is no. Use this review and the box art to see what colors are acceptable! -PS, please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers! -Doug
I meant no offense by my comment. I have built this kit, the Ecto 1 and the black primer car shown in the beginning of the first movie. All of them I tried making as "screen accrate" as possible
Hi, Buddy. Hope all is well. Wait a minute. What gives? No, No, No... Gotta give 9.9 outta 10 on this one. Very disappointing, My Dear. Why? NO SLIME!!! hehehe... Beautiful work, Buddy. Congrats. The top rack is a kit by itself. Holy shit, all those lights, gismos, gadgets and all that painting, a lotta work, but it shows in the end. It's wicked. Whatta pissah. You kick butt. Period. Thanks for sharing. Now, if you excuse me, I gotta make a call. I keep hearing these voices coming from inside my fridge and I haven't even opened my wine yet. HELP!!! Have a great weekend. Lou
Slash, I've seen crazy stuff like that happy to the ECTO crew on missions. Thanks and please subscribe if you aren't already, to help us reach more model builders! -Doug
