Goated show right here, start to finish. Been missing Gintama like crazy ever since finishing the last movie: this franchise is mindblowing, never ever have I laughed THIS MUCH while watching anime. 😆

Gintama is pretty much 75% comedy and 25% serious, a lot of people hate the first 30 or so episodes cause it's slow but once you get to the good stuff...trust me it'll be one of the greatest experiences you'll ever have Oh and you should react to the openings they're amazing

One Piece, Gintama, and JoJo are my three favorite anime, so seeing them all on the channel at the same time is pretty sick.

Don't think you noticed but the main character (silver haired guy) has same voice actor as joseph joestar and he's amazing as always

Dude, this is a show were the Jump character popularity poll sparked a civil war arc, where characters started assassinating each other to try and reach the No1 rank, forming alliances and trying to bring down others popularity rank with bad behaviour. It does get just _a bit_ more crazy than Jojo ;) .

A few years back I literally stopped watching Gintama because I was closing in on the end and I didn't want it to end lol Now my stupid ass has no idea where I was, but it is a damn good show.

No one tell him about the Jojo parody arc. This is the only series that can make you emotional over a sword that lives in a man's "mud cave" or make their character's popularity poll placement a major plot point. *picks nose* And how many other series do you know that has 4 or 5 or 7 series finales? But like a persistent venereal disease, it always came back stronger.

Gintama is one of the best animes, there is a lot of comedy with some serious arcs(the fights are badass asf ,not telling this because I have a gintoki pp :3) , for anyone Who wants to watch it just give it a try dont quit it will get interestibg after every arc (the New seasons are top notch animation /story/characters/comedy

This show is wild. It's about 70% episodic comedy, despite having several comedy arcs mixed in, it's really that remaining 30% of the I'll use to sell it, because no lies: Gintama has the some best fight scene choreography in all of anime history. I'd say all of swordfights in anime ever, but that 2nd to last Demonslayer season 2 episode might have swayed me....

So hyped that you might start this. There's a reason you're my favorite reactor Also One thing you should know is that the first two eps of Gintama are filler so skip them and strat from ep 3 (if you watch it)

Gintama is 80% comedy 20% serious with 360+ episodes & movies. Definitely fun, but episodic & slice of life. It would take hundreds of episodes and a handful of serious arcs before you manage to piece together the "main" overarching plot. There is indeed a serious main plot that has been seeded since S1, but you'd only realize it after rewatching. If you are interested in watching on your own or reacting, expect the focus of Gintama to be on the characters & their chemistry/bond. As you can tell, Gintama has a wide range of repeating characters. Now what happens when they mix with each other, each episode focusing on new combinations of characters that mingle and their relationships? The result is a ton of chaos, fun, sadness, bitterness, and other emotions. Watch it for the journey, not for the end goal... because Gintama doesn't have an end goal lol. No treasure, no dreams, no ambitions - and that's what makes it great hahahaha...

i think thats why alot will say that when starting watching this series, the first 30 is kind of boring or out of context. because they are preparing us for what is to come. fr you will REALLY LOVE IT! no anime can match this level of comedy skits imo. one of my GOAT ANIME.
