That was a very well done video. Thank you for your hard work putting this together. Was awesome. You had all the torque specs in place. I used your video to install heavier springs in my AEV 2.5 inch lift kit. Worked fantastic. Also installed TeraFlex 1 inch spacers in the front.😊

Best video of this job out there. Is it possible to do one side at a time?
@JohnsJeepGarage
@JohnsJeepGarage 8 месяцев назад
If I understand the question correctly, when you lower the axle, to create the space to remove the spring, you are able to work on one side at a time but should only raise the axle once both sides are complete. It is best to get an alignment once completed. Thank you for watching.

WOW, THAT WAS FLAWLESS! ONE QUESTION. YOU NOTED THAT YOU DIDN'T, DID NOT, LOOSEN CONTROL ARMS..., WHAT DO YOU THINK IS YOUR OPINION ON WHY THEY REQUEST THAT. I HAVE A KIT I AM ABOUT TO INSTALL AND THEY STATE TO LOOSEN ALL CONTROL ARM BOLTS. WHEN YOU DID YOUR INSTALL DIDN'T AFFECT THE INSTALL AT ALL. ? JUST CURIOUS OF YOUR OPINION. I DON'T SEE THE FEESABLILITY OF DO THAT...?

I wanted to call that out on my video because I also didn't see the value, but some do this. It may help with the lateral flexibility when reinstalling everything then tighten it up. Either way, you will need an alignment. Thank you for watching. It won't take much more time to loosen the bolts - not remove them. I believe it opens up the flexibility and tension on the connections.

So how long does this take you to do? Clearly you’ve done this before. Nice tutorial BTW.

Thank you for watching. Should take 2- 4 hours if I have all tools lined up and no interruptions and seized nuts or bolts. . Probably 2-3 on average. A mechanic shop with lift about 2 hours or less. Thank you for watching.

awesome and helpful video. are you up for a collaboration on small engine repair by the way? I'm looking for DIY repairer youtubers to work with to share more tips on small engine repair with the community.

Thank you for watching. Also, small engine repair would not be something I would do at this time . Thank you for your consideration.

So, we did this same lift on my brother's Gladiator. There's is an annoying squeak now on the passenger side we can't locate. Torqued everything under weight. Ever heard of this being an issue??

I have not. But if that happened to me, and please understand I am only responding with my opinion based on your description. I would look at everything that I removed and put back in place to ensure nothing was misaligned. For example, would look at the top, Spring, isolator and spacer to ensure the pins were through the holes that the spring was aligned and fitting correctly at the base of the spring index, that the lower shock bolts were positioned correctly, and the flag nuts we’re not rubbing and in the up position. It’s so hard to tell not being able to look at it and trying to isolate it. The bolt connecting the track bar to the axle is the one item that’s different on the passenger side versus the driver side. With the flag nut up as well.

@JohnsJeepGarage yeah we've gone through it the last three weekends checking things, torque specs, greasing bits and bobs... Who knows. Great video by the way.

I just noticed my Jeep is about 3/4" lower on the right rear side. I did some looking and came up with this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_XhnIooeD2g.html Have you heard of such a thing? I was thinking about putting a spacer on the right rear side to level it up. What do you think? Thanks!!
