Holy crap never knew Campbell could shred like that. Read an article that EVH apparently did. He even asked to set up a guitar lesson from Campbell. I suspect there are more guitarists from that Country Western world who can tear up a fretboard.
It's "Baugh". Hard to believe Glen would have hit records and a hit tv show, and sold out shows not long after this. Also a new hairstyle. He's wonderful.
Everybody's commenting about Glenn Campbell, but for me it's a real treasure as I've never seen Phil Baugh live, incredible player, his version of Folsom Prison Blues is incredibly inspirational. Pity that people are asking "who's another guy?"
it looked to me like Glen really had a great time playing that. Almost looked like he was holding back and would have really cut loose if he had another couple minutes to go.
Very early in Glen's public career - before he started singing much, and still mostly presented himself as a shit-hot country picker who had wound up on the LA Wrecking Crew instead of the Nashville A-Team..
I think he was just as good if not ever so slightly better. I like his tone a little better. Sounds a little fuller while still having the twang. Incredible stuff from both. I'd like to know who he is too.
@@avolite719 The Diamond Mine had it "on 8mm film" in the 70's, rescued it, transferred it, edited it & shared it for free with the fans...then along comes You-Tubers like this who copy the original post, cut off the watermark & then post it as their own with no thanks to the Diamond Mine for bringing it to the light of day.
