Man I'm having a hard time with this one. First off, the gun is like $485 at most places when it's in stock. Secondly, every upgrade that you listed is an upgrade we all do on our 19s and 17s anyways. Red dots and flashlights being expensive is not a con when you're buying a gun specifically to put a red dot and flashlight on it. The reason you buy the MOS version is because you plan on dumping money into it. If it doesn't shoot well, fair enough. It probably shoots the same as the non MOS 43 and 43X (not sure if you hate those guns too). Talon grips are like $15 if the grip is that terrible, and if your gonna spend the money on a stipple job, its probably cause you were planning on it anyways. I'm just failing to see how this gun is any different than any other Glock as far as it's flaws.

Yep! Agree. Saying a whole lot of nothing like most RU-vidrs. People just don't have critical thinking (or listening) skills. You can get Talon or Fox grips for $15, A powerful mini Olight w/laser for $110 and TruGlow night sights for $60 (which are excellent sights!) I have all of these on my Glock. You can get great quality products at pretty cheap prices. Some people just want to spend a lot of money on certain brands because others do. And you can get Sig or Shield mini red dots for $199-$299 that work just fine, which I also have. People need to stop being so weak-minded and easily persuaded by RU-vidrs or anyone else and start using more critical thinking.

Apparently the Romeo Zero is among the optics that fit without an adapter plate. It has a nice profile. As usual with Glocks, mounting screws are an issue. If they're too long, they'll interfere with the slide's operation.

@Osprey1994
@Osprey1994 3 года назад
@@dilldowschwagginz2674 Ummm...there's plenty of people who work stock glocks just fine. Some people just don't deal with the ergonomics well and they should stick to other manufacturers. But my G19 Gen 5 is stock and I have taken to to competitions and my only complaints are the halfmoon cutouts which can be fixed with a dremel, and I don't have an optic. Other than that I like the trigger even compared to some other very nice guns that I have shot (I started with a P228 and a tricked out 1911 an instructor had at the range I would go to where they rented out guns). I also shot a P320, M&p 2.0, CZ when I was purchasing my G19 and I would say I was marginally more accurate with the CZ and the Sig and that was after not shooting for a couple years prior to gettibg my permit... Long story short is the Glock isn't the problem...if you put in the time to practice youd presentation you will probably do just fine especially at the distances that a self defense situation might happen inside of. The best part is the gun will work. I would like to get my hands on some other pistols but right now I am limited to my P365 and G19. Hopefully I can find something that fits what I am looking for that is also CT compliant soon.

I have the G43X mos with a Holosun 507k and S15 shield mags and I absolutely love it. I upgraded it with Tyrant Designs steel mag catch, slide stop and slide back plate, then slapped on some talon grips. I paid $450 for the G43X mos. $229 for the 507k. $80 for the mag catch, slide stop and slide back plate. $20 for the grips. $50 for CHPWS base plate. $60 for a Tulster oath holster. Well under a grand out the door for a fantastic carry gun and full package is IMO a great deal. Far from the $2,500 this guy is claiming. The trigger isn’t the best but it definitely isn’t the worst.....I do plan on upgrading it in the near future. This dude is just bitter that he overpaid for a G48 before the mos version dropped

He made some good points, but it took almost 6 minutes before he made the first one. That's how it goes with RU-vid videos, where most of what is said can be extracted into a couple a paragraphs that you could read and absorb in a few minutes. I've seen much worse, where the guy on camera not only didn't write a script -- he didn't even create an outline. That causes going in circles, beating to death insignificant points, going in circles, and meandering off the topic. Compared to that, this guy's not bad. At least he's personable, if you have time to spare.

Just got the 43X. Because I wanted a minimalist carry gun (no light, no optic), the other stuff is on my 365X. Took it out to the range this weekend and I am blown away. The grip, size, trigger (yes the trigger is really good for a Glock), and capacity (with the S15 mags), make this the best carry handgun you can CC, in my opinion. I have carried a G26, G19, several revolvers, and the 365XL, which I honestly did not love….. we all know the 19 is the benchmark but can bet a little bit for some situations, the 43X or 43X MOS if you “think you need” all the extras to throw on your gun (please argue about carry pistol lights below), is a Glock 19 with a slightly thinner frame and shorter barrel, same capacity. Ideal.

Interesting observation, earlier this year I have purchased a Glock 43X with Ameriglo night sights cost $445 before taxes and fees. Then I purchased a Sig P365XL and installed the Holosun HS507K and it changed my mindset about open reflex sights. Fast-forward to the beginning of August of this year and I picked up a Glock 43X MOS for $409 before taxes and fees and installed a Holosun HE507-GR for $277. I also installed a 3.5 connector cost was $24 along with added 3 Shield arms 15 round magazines. I agree with the trigger on stock Glock not being smooth. However the Double Diamond 3.5 connector made the trigger press smoother for a small price of $24. The aforementioned handguns are my off-duty concealed carry weapons, I also carry a Glock 42 since 2014. The Glock is a fine shooter for self defense. The 43X MOS is easy to conceal in beach attire compared to my full size 1911 I use to carry before 2014. I have a co-worker that owns a Staccato C that cost him $2,300 and I have shot it at the range many of times. I am considering buying one because it is a sweet shooting weapon as it should for the price of admission. I will still carry the Glock 43X MOS with the Holosun while off-duty.

The 43x is great. It is far superior for concealing in the waistband, especially if you have to sit down. I can't think of a reason to own anything between a 43x and a 17, anymore. 10 rounds is a lot more than 6 (the 43) and 7 (the SW shield). You can easily carry it with no belt and ulti clips. Im not sure why you think that you need to put an optic, light, and stipple on it. I don' know what you have planned for this gun, lol, it is perfect for its intended use. Having a full grip, when changing mags, makes it worth the upgrade (alone). Maybe you need a 43 if you are a small person, or a 19 with a 30 round mag if you are wearing some tactical pants and plan on running into battle, but then why not a 17? This gun is certainly not a miss, it is just the right tool for a situation that you don't think you will be in.
@armorers_wrench

@SeanHavlik

Lol, the 43x is certainly not obsolete. Also, The aftermarket is an advantage . You can easily and quickly get anything you want for them, including holsters, blue guns and air-soft replicas, and even STL files-you can print them in your home if you want, along with the mags. So, to answer your question, never; the aftermarket support (and community) is the main selling point, right behind the record of reliability. You can choose to bash whatever guns you want to justify your purchases, but I like to appreciate them all for their intended uses and unique advantages. Was easy to handle and of course spot on in the accuracy department. I love it! It's going to be my ccw so I wanted something small but not too small. I feel like I made a great choice. I was a LEO firearms instructor back in the 70's, 80's and 90's. Mostly carried a Colt 1911, until the county bought us Glocks. I didn't want to switch but had to. Once I switched I was and still am a solid Glock guy. Just picked up a 43x MOS and love it for concealed carry. I chose the Romeo Zero to mount on it. The stock sights co-witness fairly well but could be a touch taller. I did have to shorten the Romeo Zero supplied mounting screws a touch with a small file.

I have a 48 and like it a lot. But when I tried my 43 slide on it- effectively turning it into a 43X- that slide stays on it most of the time. It draws faster for ME with the shorter slide, and feels noticeably lighter IWB carry. Simple Talon grips fix the grip perfectly for me. I did add a nice trigger and TruGlo sights, Shield Arms mags and catch, but it's a daily carry and shoots great for me. In fact, it's my favorite carry ever. And I just don't feel a need for MOS in a compact carry weapon- which is good because I'd feel pissed if I did...

In fact i Just picked up a 43x mos for $475, a TLR-7 sub for $125, and a Holosun 407K for $175. Add a T1C axis elite holster for 150, some shield arms mags and a shield arms mag release and you’re at around a grand. For a complete setup with a decent optic, decent light, 15 round mags and a top tier concealed carry holster, that’s not too bad.

But once that was out, the 43X became a good option. I'm still not sure it fits into the "micro-compact" category, but you won't find anything smaller that can hold 15+1. I prefer the 365 or 365XL, but have no problem carrying a stock 43X with the Shield mag.

Accessories are going to cost extra on any gun you chose to put them on, not just this gun. If you do want to get accessories, you can get Talon or Fox grips for $15, A powerful mini Olight w/laser for $110 and TruGlow night sights for $60 (which are excellent sights!) I have all of these on my Glock. You can get great quality products at pretty cheap prices. Some people just want to spend a lot of money on certain brands because others do. And you can get Sig or Shield mini red dots for $199-$299 that work just fine, which I also have. I didn’t warp my frame either and it was my stipple job. Disclaimer: I didn’t just open the stipple kit and start stippling. I had taken at least 2 weeks to try every bit in the kit on multiple pieces of plastic that I had in my kit, plus whatever I could find around my shop. I tried making designs, or combining tips to blend in tips over lays etc, just to see what it would be like. So, I recommend watching a lot of video’s first to get some direction, and then practice first. My stipple job came out exactly what I wanted and looks very nice, even when you turn the gun around. So, I did make an investment in this gun, and quite honestly it came to be what I expected. If anyone tells you that you have a good gun and it only costed you $400,…..it’s not that good! Trust me, you will do something to it. If you don’t want to spend the extra money, it’s not a bad gun at all for the money compared to the Hellcat or 365.

The 43x and 48 services a market that is often neglected. It's a huge one too. Ban states like NY and countries like Canada. I used to live in NY and Glock is king despite 10 round limits. This is a great option without dealers having to dick around with special ordering a 19 with 10 round magazines or having to swap them out at the store. The 48 from what I was told was made to satisfy the barrel length requirements in Canada. A lot of people don't live in free states but still want a Glock and these take care of that market.

I don’t know if I’ll ever put a red dot on it but if I want to I CAN and that’s the point; I may never put a light on it but if I want to I CAN and that’s the point. Not a great trigger but better than all of them (and that’s just MY opinion). And when I found out I could get the Shield Arms S15 mag and add 50% more rounds without lengthening the grip I was sold. Gun- $580 Holosun 507k- $300 C&H mounting plate- $70 Stock trigger polish- $0 Stippling- $200 That's $1150 to have a perfectly workable and reliable carry gun with an optic which is not bad considering that you could go without the stippling if budget is an issue and then you're under $1000. If you want back up iron sights add another $100 but again not absolutely necessary. You were trying way too hard to inflate your build cost just to make a nonexistent point. It's also still priced competitively against other similar pistols on the market. If you don't like the way it shoots that is a different story and I agree the 48 is the way to go but your whole rant on price was just ridiculous.

Navy Seals, Special Forces, Green Berets, 2nd Rangers on Vigilantes Elite channel all carry one. I’ll listen to them.

A 43X? Incorrect

Just picked this up... I am smart enough to wait at least a year after Glock releases something. Got a 43X MOS ($475) in store. Added a TLR-7 (69400) light for $135 and a Holosun HS407K-X2 for $225 and a titanium adapter plate for $25. I always keep my mags, triggers, etc. factory stock on my CCWs for legal reasons. I now have a fully setup, 100% reliable EDC for about $875. Can you go cheaper? Sure. But it won't be as good.

If Glock made factory 15 round magazines for the 48 MOS, I would be all over it.

Long time Glock Fan boy. In the last week I bought 6 Sigs. Glock sucks at this point. I sold my 43x along with shield mags and GLADLY bought the P365XL with Romeo from the factory for 740 out the door

First the drop safety issues Sig had then all the p365 having quality control issues and still having firing pins breaking? Yeah not interested in Sigs at all. Don't remember hearing about that happening with Glock.

The commercials say that a Snickers bar might help with that anger issue. But, if your actual intent was to get a LOTS and LOTS of comments that disagree with you... then you succeeded phenomenally! 🤣 Add mine to the list. True, it wasn't love at first sight... but I really like mine now. I initially thought I would go back to my other carry guns after the novelty wore off, but I can't. Then the PSA micro (43X) 15 round mags came out. It is settled. I like this thing!

I love my 43X. Got it on sale for $400 but I definitely wouldn’t spend the extra money for the MOS version.

Lol the 48 has the same frame as the 43X. But the 43X frame is too slippery? 🤣 K. Also, they don't really shoot very different at all if you ask me. That extra 1/2 inch doesn't really make a huge difference. I don't really get the capacity argument. Obviously it's nice to have more, but it's easier to carry than the 26, which I carried for years. Doesn't feel as blocky. Conceals roughly the same. The shield magazine is an impressive improvement, but I typically carry a couple extra magazines regardless of what gun I'm carrying. So I'm usually carrying more ammo than most people who have the shield arms magazine anyway, with the added benefit of diversified reliability. I think 10+1 is a reasonable capacity.
