That animation on the Ornithopter is INCREDIBLE I cannot believe how good the animation and pixel art and model is for it. I love seeing how community creations contribute to the series- all the little creativities and efforts of every modder and artist and player building up to make things like this possible. I love that while you could've just made a texture pack for the elytra, you went the extra mile and added a whole new crafting recipe for the ornithopter. 10/10, everyone who worked on that did an amazing job!

Just an FYI, you don't need crafter slot covers, if not all slots are full you can just use redstone to start the craft 😊

As one of six channels I actively watch/subbed to, the other 5 are also hermits, 4 of those 5 are also in this series, the 5th is Doc, I love seeing new Zed videos pop up. I honestly believe Zed deserves more subs, highly creative and amusing person.

I love the Figura mod, and I just got so exited when I saw the elytra model! it's been a while since I used it last time, but I used to make player models with different themes, it's a lot of fun to do

For the tunnel, you might Create (see what I did there?) some doors at the entrance that will open in some fashion (Fallout-style Vault Door, maybe?) as the train approaches the mouth of the aforementioned tunnel.

The gliders look amazing they really should be a thing in create made with elytras and boosted with steam

The flying animation for the ornithopter is so cool!!! It really looks like a bird with the way the “tail feathers” tilt and the sails on the wings lag behind a bit. Amazing details- I love it!!

Ornithopter is awesome! That model is seriously the coolest thing I've seen since the trains in Create, god this mod is the best. I was thinking about other good ways to integrate it into the create "feel" a bit better since it is just a retextured elytra at the moment, and maybe a good way to do that would be to not allow boosting with fireworks with it and only have it as a glider? It would make it a little less useful than the elytra but that feels right since you don't need to go to the end for it and therefore should probably get a bit of a nerf from the full elytra just for that. But on the other hand, it would create the need for some kind of "launching" infrastructure and you could build more towers or crazy sling shot launchers around the island. It feels like a good compromise to still need the other people moving aspects of create more while also getting a good amount of convenience of the elytra!

Hey, not sure if you’ve been messing with the new trees or not, but skyris trees make TONS of apples, and they are mined by the wood saw so you can auto farm them. So if the recipe lets you use Granny Smith apples, you might want to consider finding a skyris biome. The wood is a really pretty blue color, too.

Oh my goodness 😲, I'm not sure how you'd actually make the ornithopter in vanilla MC but I definitely agree that it should be available. That's such an amazing design, and kudos to the designers.

I randomly get recommended this (not a viewer nor subscriber), and good *God* where do I even begin! The skit at the beginning is a wonderful, careful touch, the intro is absolutely amazing and tasteful, the builds in the World are absurdly unique, creative, and well-made, the pacing is fast but not overly so. As I type this I'm screenshotting various points in the video because I find them highly inspiring. Holy SHIT that ornithopter is cool!

For the train tunnel, you can make axes or hammers swing down and hit the side as if they are pistons! You can make them barely dodge before and after the train. Like gearwork ;)

I don't know why but the first thing that comes to mind for decorating Zed's train tunnel is something similar to "It's a Small World" maybe without the song but still filled with animatronics.

Did not expect to see Figura in the wild like this. What a way to learn it's now released for 1.18

Obviously lag and timing would be a pain, but a wall that moves with the train to give the illusion that you're not moving would be fun. Like you're not moving while moving, and then you're there. Implementation could be from sensors in the track, but could be too finicky to deal with.

Your loco has a strong resemblance to the fireless Locomotives, or the Lima Steam Storage Locomotives, real neat pieces of engineering. In short they were big canisters that could be filled with superheated steam from a stationary boiler. Once filled they could push there carts around the yard for about 4-5 hours before needing to be topped off again. The advantage/ main reason these were built, was to limit smoke emissions produced by factories as well as to help prevent the factory windows and walls from being covered in coal soot.

I love the ornithopters! Though, the idea of rockets really doesn't feel right with them.. worried the sails'd rip. They're SO COOL as gliders though!

I have a BipPlane in my Create Flavored world and I can say with 100% confidence it is the greatest investment. Not just in create, but my entire life.

I was totally expecting Zed to use the no-clip rules of trains to make a plane. If you hide rails underground and use a line of glass panes, you can make what seems to be a flying thing. You have to make sure to leave a hole at wherever it stops, bit other than that, it's awesome.

Zed, you don't need cover slots, don't waste materials on them. You can forse the recipe with redstone signal!

Regular Minecraft needs ALL the goodies!

Zed should build some sort of "Batcave" style mechanism in front of his train tracks that would cause that side of the mountain to open up with all the gears and doodads whirling, give the feeling of a Micro Machines or Hot Wheels "hidden base" set! So the mountain would remain open while the Mighty Steamer is steaming away but would close when it enters the base and reopen when leaving the base.

Oh oh oh!! For the tunnel! Re remember the moving hallway in the nether you build that one time? Maybe with create you can make it look smoother and better!!

Of course for your train station you should put up a cool door that opes *just* in time for a passing train, but you could also cover the cliffside with cogs and mills, similar to your Cube:)

In the train system at some airports they have tiny pinwheels on the sides of the tunnel that spin as the train pushes air through the tunnel, that would be very create! They are very fun to look at

I've been playing the create mod thanks to this series, and it's really fun! Unfortunately, my world ended up crashing and I have no backups, so I do need to start over

I'd say have a waterfall door entrance. Might be as simple as pistons in the cliff to part the water left and right of the track, but with a signal you could pulse the water to part right as the train is closeby.

Also, try holding blocks in your off hand while placing train tracks, in particular grinders look nice.

That ornithopter is the best thing I've seen in Minecraft in a long, long time.

As for how to make the trains and tunnels more interesting, what if when entering certain tunnels the trains would get disassembled and some of the middle segments of a train where people and items are could be craned over to another train, this way you could have an initial train tranferring both ítems and passengers, but then It gets separated and items go into one train and passengers into another
