Peanut butter Chocolate & Banana Smoothie
• 1 cup milk
• 1 frozen medium banana
• 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter
• 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Nutrition info:
🍌 Bananas contain potassium and magnesium that can help relax the muscles. This provides for better sleep.
🍌 Bananas contain both soluble and insoluble fibers, which both help with digestion and healthy stool, controlling blood sugars, helping reduce cholesterol, and if you eat a green banana banana, it can help stimulate the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gut.
🥜 For people with diabetes, peanut butter is a great combination of protein and healthy fats that can help regulate blood sugar levels and reduce the risk of large spikes.
🥜 peanut butter can also be high in calories, sodium, and unsaturated fats. Therefore, look for brands that do not contain any added sugars or hydrogenated oils.
🍫 Cocoa powder can help dilate blood vessels which reduces the risk of heart disease and stroke. It also helps lower blood pressure, improve blood flow and reduce LDL (bad) cholesterol. All great things for the heart! ♥️
