I currently have the 2014 Chevy Cruze Lt with turbo 1.4 liter. Have been told the check valve inside intake manifold goes bad inside factory intake manifold sooner or later. My question is would changing it to a dorman intake manifold part would fix the issue permanently on the check valve inside manifold? Thanks for the video any feedback appreciated
This still doesn’t work. The orange plug gets sucked out with this plastic pin mod fyi. And the valve covers are weak, they deform cause of the high crankshaft pressure….
I just bought a 2016 Trax with 165000 miles. I'm thinking I'm just going to go ahead and replace the intake manifold right away. Does this Dorman product have an improved design, or can we expect the check valve to fail like the OEM manifold?
Hi Evan, yes! Part #615-380 has an improved OE fix design! Please see the attached PDF explaining the improvements. static.dormanproducts.com/document/615-380_oe-fix_case-study.pdf
Hi Roberson, unfortunately part # 615-380 does not fit the 2011 model year 1.4s. On our application notes it specifies that this part number is for use with single MAP sensor port. www.dormanproducts.com/p-101387-615-380.aspx?origin=keyword

Hi Terry, the torque specs vary from vehicle to vehicle. It would be best to check your factory service manual for your specific year, make, and model.
@@DormanProducts Thanks. Sadly the factory service manual had no torque specifications I had to do a lot of digging to find it. Sadly no Hayne Manuals for this model either. but I eventually did. Thank you though.
Ok, cool story… but this is about the 1.4L i4, so what’s your point? Did you know that it also comes in a V8? It doesn’t hurt to look stuff up before you make an ass out of yourself. Actually, don’t. I have a feeling you will hurt yourself trying to do such.
