Yes, You have to make sure the number 1 spark plug is at top dead center and that the distributor is pointing at the number 1 cylinder. it is a bit trickey...

I'm in the middle of taking one apart, and the only thing that bugs me is marking the distributor.

Does your truck have a 4 wire connector that plugs into the distributor?
