After all the jumpscares librarian experienced , he sounds distressed in every intro, making him sound like a FNAF theorist at 4am waiting for Freddy Fazbear to show up at their door for missing a small piece of paper on the office desk with William afton on it.
@@dingo-gorditas Later in the video he is but at the beginning he didn't know what to expect of the map other than past experiences with the previous map.
The room at 14:34 is an area from the first level of the original Doom, the room at 15:23 is the opening area to Doom 2 and the ladder room at 19:05 is a reference to Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater.
All that action talk makes me think that you'd genuinely enjoy playing through Half Life 2 VR mod if you haven't already. The game sure becomes way different in a different perspective!
I remember suggesting stuff for this map! The ending exit staircase and that weird crate room. Also, edit, when playing in flatscreen mode, each room, when you head in, will show you who suggested it! Also also, another edit, you had keep corpses on, which is why it was so difficult to get past the bodies.
Hey Librarian, I would be very happy to see these free Steam games: "Hotel on the Grate", "lure", "Skelton Zone Traveler Emergence", "Lights Off", "Feast youre Eyes", "the static speaks my name", „Transliminal“. They are all very interesting games! Have played all of them and I like them very much. Would love to see videos/opinion from you on them ! :)
Father Grigori : I need help, brother! Librarian : Okay! *One badass fight later* Father Grigori : WHO SENT YOU!? WHO SENT YOU?! *Aggressive screaming at gunpoint*
The Librarian at 3 O'Clock, lying awake in bed while he hears Dr. Kleiner back from the dead, banging on his door coming to avenge his pet head crab: Yes this is a reference to John Wick, no I don't know why I made this comment, and have a nice day.
pleasantly surprised to see that there's a sequel to the og growing map. Your video on the first one was such an experience (already watched it like 3 times) and this one recreated the same feeling. thanks for all those cool videos:) edit : and happy new year!
When the Combine soldiers suddenly appear in the same room as you, I could hear the teleportation sound from Half-Life 2. I can only assume it was meant to suggest that they were teleported into the room with you rather than finding another way around.. But if the Combine had that kind of pinpoint accuracy, I feel like it would have taken a lot less effort to stop Gordon Freeman.
Honestly though I’ve always dreamed of seeing an ever expanding Gmod map as it’s an interesting concept with you never know what will be in the next area kinda feels like the randomness of playing Source elevator for the first time.
Hey man, there's a HL2 VR mod available to download on Steam, and it's without a doubt the best VR mod I've seen for a game. Makes HL2 feel like it was made for VR. It's free too. If you did a playthrough of HL2 in VR I'd definitely watch it.
This was pretty cool, not at all what I was expecting, but Oh boy this was a ride. A more action-oriented VR map where we get to see not only Librarian's sick reaction time when it comes to popping headshots on enemies no matter how far away or how suddenly they appear.. But also getting to see him more excitable than usual, really having fun in his element. And Safety Glock got their first kill! KILLS even! I'm so proud of them! OH, AND THIS MAP BEING BASICALLY THE LOVE-CHILD OF SO MANY DIFFERENT MINDS! There's action, there's a story, there's horror, there's lore! This map has so much going on, it's amazing!
Throughout my Christmas break, I can happily say that i have watched and enjoyed many of your videos. I just wanted to thank you for the entertainment, and the quality of said videos. Keep up the great work man!
I much enjoy not knowing what's going to happen next on maps like these. Also, I believe that the ragdoll-collision issue is a result of "Keep Corpses" being set to true. You can either turn it off or download mods that get rid of the collisions.
Librarian, there's a VERY cool F.E.A.R inspired map called "Project Icarus". The 1st & 2nd map has combat so i suggest to play normally with mouse & keyboard. The 3rd one has the most horror elements and doesn't have as much combat as the first two, so you can definitely play in VR. Do keep in mind, some part of the maps require parkour and some require a logical mind, keen eyes, and patience.
I don’t know what it is, but your videos are just so good. I’m glad my RU-vid algorithm found you, also gmod Vr sounds very eerie and especially with growing map, considering what we saw in the last growing map
I can never think of a good comment to put on the librarians videos but I'm sure one day I'll find a good one, but for now MAN, THE LIBRARIAN IS SUCH AN AWESOME RU-vidR EVERY TIME HE UPLOADS IT ALWAYS MAKES MY DAY
Hey Librarian. Half-Life 2 is playable in VR, but you should play the "official" Half-Life 2 VR - it is rebuilt to use VR. It's free on the Steam store if you own Half-Life 2, and I'm also a little surprised you never heard of it. It was hugely successful when it released a few months back. Wouldn't mind seeing a playthrough. I've played through most of it myself, it's pretty well done.
I honestly think that Father Grigori should have been able to follow you through the whole game. Maybe if you pressed “E” or if on a Console something else. He would have followed you. Also, same thing with The Resistance. They could have followed you to help fight the Headcrabs and the Zombies and the Combine. You could have probably saved Dr Richard Keller and Lamar the Headcrab. Final Boss Fight Dr Wallace Breen looks extremely difficult to beat without the use of cheat codes. The VR Verison should show you on your Left or Right Arm the amount of Health that you have and from the HEV Suit. The other arm should show you the amount of Amo left for each weapon. I used to watch old GMOD maps. Explosions, Headcrabs, Combine, etc.
Hey Librarian, I found a really neat map that I think you'll like a lot, it's called Gm_Monolith10. The basement of it really made me think you'd like it
Hey Librarian, I would honestly love to see you play Fnaf: Help Wanted if you haven't already, I think you'll find it enjoyable, nonetheless this video was very pleasant to watch.
Just a suggestion but it would be awesome if you tried out half life 2 vr mod. Theres an actual version of the game on the steam store (free) that was designed for vr and it makes you actually reload guns and climb up ladders.
I must say that I really like the more action-oriented maps with a bit of horror. I guess that what people felt when they first discovered the popularity of survival horror
For little, almost useless clarification, HL2 doesn't have bullet penetration, and at my knowledge, Valve only has CS:GO, and the Machina from TF2 with bullet penetration, the bullet penetration at around 40:50 is just ArcCW's weapons who has the penetration, its even in the weapon's customization menu, with the penetration through wood, ceramic, and steel; anyway, still an awesome video, as the others do too !
Hi Librarian, recently I found a game called "BABBDI", is a creepy/odd game with ps2 aesthetic in wich you have to get out of the city Babbdi itself. I would love to see that game with your cozy commentary :). Hope u see this comment
Fun fact: the room you dropped into after opening that door was in fact a reference to Doom 1, and the room you were fighting those two CP units in with the stun stick is a reference to a room from Doom 2, both rooms being in the first missions of each game.
The stunstick actually charges up. In none-vr you hold down right mouse button and release. It hits slower and not as much damage but the charge can 2 or 1 shot most basic enemys. Like zombie or combine.
Hey librarian I have this map series you should play It’s called lost souls of igneon It’s a horror puzzle map That would be real fun in vr There where a few parts in it were you might get overwhelmed with the amount of enemies because of how vr limits combat but it has a really nice story
PRO TIP FROM A PVP PLAYER: The stun stick actually does the same damage as the crowbar but the crowbar is faster so you should use the crowbar during melee sections. Also it's super cool to see combat in your videos!
@@s_h_v1.0.87 It's all unofficial and mostly unstructured but you could say both, and you shouldn't do battle against really good players because gmod pvp movement is actually wayyyy too strong to be fun at high levels. You don't wanna deal with someone who can propfly and sidehop at 4700 hammer units per second, for context, running speed in gmod maxes out at 400 and if you normally jump forwards it's 600. Fighting pro players (especially if they decide to fight in groups) is more like fighting a speedrunner than pvp.
there is a mod for more immersive vr pickups! it disables the auto pickup and makes it so you have to reach for stuff and put the things in your "pocket"
14:48 All three of those rooms are from Doom. The first one being from Doom 1, the second a hallway I believe I recognize from Doom 64, and the third being the first room in the first level of Doom 2
This may be A little weird, but: team fortress 2 slender fortress gives me the creepy and comfy vibe. Can you try it out, please? Does anybody else feel the same?
if youre going to make a habit of using the hl2 weapons id suggest downloading the arcvr remastered hl2 weapons. they're exactly the same as the originals but with no missing faces and you can reload them and hold them two handed.
have you not ever done vr combat in gmod? the first thing I did when I got vrmod working was play through the early combat levels of hl2. I really recommend playing follow freeman and the other c17 uprising levels with vr, it's really fun and it might make a good video if you have nothing else to do *also, the shootbang maps
Hey librarian. I want to suggest you a game to check out. It is called space engine. It is a "game" where you just explore the universe. Although it is not the usual stuff you do on the channel, I think that it will leave you in awe while you explore the misteries of the universe
