This song sounds like it’s about the Tally Hall hiatus from a fan’s perspective even though I know that isn’t what it’s about. “Smile if you long for alone or a song, but smile for its all in vain”. Also “You are never over just forever on your own”
This is one of the saddest songs from Tally Hall in my opinion. It just hits a whole part of the brain and makes me feel nostalgic of what's long gone and of what could have been. Maybe It's an interpretation of the band or maybe it's like many things with them and just means nothing at all. That's what I love about Tally Hall, they entirely shift moods every time you listen to a song, it's like a journey. Sometimes you want to cry and sometimes you smile, sometimes you feel like you're flying in the sky and sometimes you feel like your stuck in the rain. I think we weren't ready for Tally Hall when they were around, and it's almost fitting that they are on permanent hiatus. Just as this song, they are - just another - nostalgic, burning memory (and yes that's a reference but I forget of what).
Yes. I agree. It reminds me of the kind of music my mother would put on in her car when I was really little, which all makes me nostalgic, but being that that time was the worst in my life hearing those songs hurts. This is something I can actually listen to and get nostalgia because it never had a connection to a dark time in life.

This song hits different with the interpretation of it being about "the fans' feelings towards the band" now that the Joe doc exists. "You get darker than I've had the unfortune to know", and all that. Man.

I wish there was sheet music for the harmonies I’ve been trying so hard to figure them out but it’s hard to hear them over the melody so I can’t get it and it’s frustrating
