Pastor Bob you're right! People often seem so heated up on homosexuality but forget that ALL sin is sin. There's not greater sin. God did call us to love and I think it's so sad when us Christians hate especially on gay people. None of us deserve God's love but He still chooses to call us His kids :)

Pastor Bob, it's very obvious you have a big heart and you care about people, however it is not a sin to be gay. One. God created us this way. I remember feeling different 5 years old. Two. The six verses supposedly condemning homosexuality have been researched by many bible scholars and theologians and all can be explained as mis translations from the Greek and Hebrew Text. Three. We absolutely have to take into account of when the Bible was written. We are talking about a time when it was acceptable to take a woman and stone her to death for committing adultery. Besides researching this for myself I also watched a very good documentary called For The Bible Tells me So. After watching it, I began to realize I could finally, once again identify as a Christian even though I am gay. God is so loving and we are all his children if we accept Christ as our personal saviour.

Thank you, I appreciate what you have said. I'm still trying to find my place here and people like you make it easier. Some christians are open and accepting and I'm grateful for them. I have attended church a few times, I enjoy it somewhat and I get what I can out of it. I can't say it's the best church for me to meet my needs but a friend invited me so I took him up on it. It's Church of God, very straight. You're right we're all works in progress and no one is perfect. Never will be.

As far as I know, Homosexuality don't include sex all the time. Some people have a phobia about sex, and you know that. So, Homosexuality is about love also. People should STOP to focus on sexual intercourse all the time, it's getting really annoying. so, it's been said plenty of times already and i'll say it again: i can't remember how i found your videos but i'm not religious in the slightest. in fact i lean more towards nihilism than anything. yours is a breath of fresh air in a wind tunnel of vapidity. i have always admired certain religious people from gracian and ignacious to many of the old muslim and hindu holy men of long, long ago and the way you speak and how you offer suggestions (note: never heard you say something is objectively this way or that way or that something is "law") is very reminiscent of those who i thought were long dead. i'm still not religious and i don't know that i ever will be, but i think there is beauty and wisdom at the core of most, if not all, religions and you are a great representative of that. may the ground catch your feet and welcome them, wherever you may step, pastor bob.

we aren't to ''hate'' gay people, but the scripture is clear on the issue of gay relations in Romans and other books namely that those who practice such things will absolutely not inherit the kingdom of God

pastor bob i met you yearrs ago at cornerstone music festival. I thank you for this video, I have went through alot over the years. I was saved at 17. At the age of 20 i accepted myself as a gay man, and my membership to my church was revoked, and for years I renounced god. I became a wiccan priest a couple of years ago, and I feel lost. I just want god to take me back as his child, but I am scared. I am 39 years old now. but anyways godbless you and thanks for this video.

I do not have any answers of my own. I totally rely on the Word of God. You must never judge anybody, Only Christ can do that. The Lord said on the Sermon on the Mount, he that looks at another women commits adultery in his heart. I thank God that I am not under the Law but under Grace. Do I accept Homosexuality? No, God hates it. Do I condemn them? The act yes, the person no. All people need a personal relation ship with the Lord and keep his commandment. We only have hope through Christ. No sin under the flesh is unforgivable, but repentance is required. Turn to the Lord and He shall forgive you and to God who will abundantly Pardon, Thank God for that.

You faithfully live Jesus' love for all the marginalized and rejected, the very same people Jesus chose to spend his time with while he walked the earth. Thank you, Pastor Bob, finally someone who makes sense. I'm gay, not proud of it, don't flaunt it and I don't have a partner nor am I sexually promiscuous. I see every day how much hatred there is towards me and other gays and the battle has gotten old. Like you said everyone has something they're facing, but homosexuality seems to be the worst by many people's definition. I feel as though I can't change it in myself and sometimes I wish I would go ahead and die just so it will finally be over.

I'm curious. Assume that my religious palette is blank, and I have no previous notions regarding old or new testament. Obviously there's a difference between the two, one being old and one being new. What should be different in the way we live/believe between pre and post crucifixion? From my understanding, Judaism is based more around old testament teachings, and they still follow the same rules since they didn't accept Jesus as their messiah. What exactly does believing in Jesus mean for us?

Thank you. You know, here's what I have come to realize. I am bisexual. Have been my whole life. When I became Christian, I made myself believe homosexuality was not a sin, and a gay marriage is just as legitimate in the eyes of God as a straight marriage. I was wrong, gay sex is a sin. I realized that a couple months ago. BUT. Being gay is not a sin. People are born gay, and something you were born as cannot be a sin. Look at these verses: Matthew 19:10-12New King James Version (NKJV) 10 His disciples said to Him, “If such is the case of the man with his wife, it is better not to marry.” 11 But He said to them, “All cannot accept this saying, but only those to whom it has been given: 12 For there are eunuchs who were born thus from their mother’s womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He who is able to accept it, let him accept it.” Did you catch that? Verse 12. For there are eunuchs who were born thus from their mother’s womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He who is able to accept it, let him accept it.” Back then, people called men with no interest in women born eunuchs. JESUS HIMSELF said gay people are born gay. If gay people are born gay, that only means they need to be careful to follow God's laws of sexuality, JUST LIKE ALL THE REST OF HUMANITY.

There is no reason for you to be scared. It doesn't matter how far away you stray or what you do; you can always come back to the Lord. His grace is everlasting, as well as His forgiveness. I hope this helps you.

Now I know that God doesn't hate, but what about a Gay person who says there saved and will go to Heaven, Can they enter in when 1 Corin. Chapter 6 specifically speaks about the sin that will not enter in to his kingdom. If the person acts on their perversion, do you believe God takes them?

When people use this argument people often refers to the passage Leviticus 18:22: You shall not lie with a male as with a women. But to be honest as a Christian I don't really believe that, if you read on in the book it states that you can't wear 2 different kinds of clothing and it also says you can't plant 2 different seeds in the same crop, and I find that kind of ludicrous especially it talks about livestock and farmland with wheat, corn, and other grain products. I agree.

I am scared to tell the church that I am gay

I'm in no way religious, but I think you are someone who understood the christian message better then most people did. I've never got the idea why people hate something so much that affects their lifes so little. Being gay is a not a virus, one can't become gay because the person next door or the person walking by is. One doesn't become gay by talking to gay people. I don't see any reason to put any effort and energy into hating someone who is happy with himself. I have other use for this power.

God bless gay people! Everyone needs the love of a savior...everyone! Whether or not being gay is wrong God/Jesus commands us to love. I believe the best thing you can do is listen to a person and build a relationship with them loving them despite any imperfections after all Jesus did so much more than that for us. Our job as Christians is to lead people to God and let HIM change people for the better...after all is said and done God is the judge not us!

Sometimes, I feel like people forget what love is. I mean love is just love there is no string to it, this is because, I think, that God is love and that's why he made people in his own image, so they can love too. So, I sometimes think when you are denying people who are gay is like denying God. And they say that hate is destructive, so I don't know if you can link that together or not. Believing in Jesus means simply this: He paid the price with His death on the cross for OUR sins. In other words, He fulfilled the Law and the Prophets knowing that we could never measure up. The law(s) of the Old Testament were to show us we can never live up to them, so He did it for us and sacrificed himself so that we can go to God ourselves without any mediator such as a priest or Pope or whatever. All we have to do is believe and accept and try with His help to overcome our weaknesses. :)

Yes, there is. A Christian is someone who has faith in Jesus. It has nothing to do with sexuality. Even if they're knowingly sinning, they're still Christian.
