To unlock the classic Greek Kratos skin, gear set, and blade of Olympus spartan rage ability, you have to complete the story for the new (and FREE) Valhalla DLC at least once on any difficulty. After, these rewards will be unlocked for any NG+ files, where you can retrieve them from the chest next to any of the blacksmith forges.

Playing through the game again as young Kratos is going to be a blast. One small thing I wished they added, but I’m not complaining about, was if they had the Golden Fleece as a chest armor piece to complete is GOW3 look.

That final battle still gives me goosebumps, especially when its like seeing a family bonding moment with a Father, Mother, Son, and Cool decapitated Uncle.

You know one thing I noticed about the Blade of Olympus? Every version of the Spartan Rage involved Kratos being visibly and vocally furious. Every version... except for Legacy. In Legacy Rage mode, Kratos summons the Blade of Olympus with relative calm, and is no more visibly/vocally furious in his attacks with it than with other weapons (save maybe for an angrier face). In fact, Mimir doesn't even tell Kratos to try and control himself during the rematch against Thor in Asgard if he uses the Legacy version of the Spartan Rage. And I likes to think that it is because in that form, Kratos has absolute and complete control over himself and his power as the God of War, to the point that even at his most enraged during a combat, he retains that full self-control. Mimir doesn't tell Kratos to control himself against Thor because he already does.

Young Kratos using the Blade of Olympus against Thor in their first fight already reminds me of the Zeus final boss in the original God of War II. Anybody else see the same thing in that?

For me at least, I feel like the sword is a bit on the smaller side. Though that is the only gripe I have, I'm so happy that we can finally use the Blade of Olympus officially.

I like how lore wise according to the devs kratos already basically one shots any of the norse gods as he got stronger after leaving greece. But here we see the blade of olympus and lets be honest that thing is practically overkill lol. I mean that thing killed zeus, gaia, and ended the titan war on its own. I honestly love that parries regenerate a bit of rage. So now you can essentially infinitely use the Blade of Olympus as an actual viable weapon, instead of just being a cool one time move on cooldown.

The fact that you can have old kratos skin next to Atreus is so weirdly satisfying because it’s like he’s getting a second chance at being a good young father ready to help his son reach his peak like he did back in Greece. It’s weird but great and to see him fight young against Thor is just amazing

Is there an alternative to the Zeus armor parts cause ill admit im decent at the game but im not that good to risk the extra damage you can take from the stat bonus from having both the arms and waist parts of the armor
