@@cainabel6356 no that would be Tyr. BUT it should be noted that while Tyr is the Norse god of war, he believes in war for justice-related reasons, unlike Ares for example, who just loves bloodlust and fighting. So Thor and Ares are more similar to one another.

@Youcant Handleit well, I mean, Tyr *is* heavily involved in war. He presides over treaties and formalities. You are correct in that the Norse pantheon doesn’t assign roles to gods in the same way as the Greek. “God of war” for Ares meant he presided over war itself, but The Norse don’t have that kind of rigid structure. All the gods partake in and lend themselves to war. Odin is god of storms, but also god of wisdom and even death and war. Thor is associates with everything from strength to storms to sacred trees and even fertility.

As you said he’s Justice and Order and the God of War. He’s not the God of Pacifism, Odin made his bed when he betrayed the realms for his own lust for power. I’m ready for the mythology of Tyr to come full circle and permanently remove his “right to bear arms” if you catch my meaning.

This is a mostly unrelated comment about comparison between Kratos and Tyr. Thats it, no need to read The best comparison for tyr is Athena(talking actual mythos, not God of War), as she is the goddess of stratgies and wisdom, where as Ares is the god of war, and all of the negative aspects of it. also kratos is actually a god in greek mythology, he is a god of strength... and a few othere things, he's a minor god In actual reality, Ares was not really worshiped by many, he was respected and feared, but not very well loved. He is an Olympian because he is important, he is the embodiment of ALL things war, unlike Athena, who is protrayed as an embodiment of all thing "glamorous" about war. So of we apply that logic to Kratos in God of war, he became the god of the saveragery of war, death, and ruin, much like Ares was. Thank you for coming to my ted talk about the mythology of Greek God of war... Was is entirely necessary, absolutely not, and chances are I got some of the facts wrong... its been a while since I did a deep dive into Greek Mythology.

That's why I believe the person talking to Kratos asking has he ever been prayed to or loved is Tyr and not Odin. It just makes since seeing as how they are both Gods of War but Tyr actually cared about people compared to Kratos.

@@ItIsWhatItIs78174 Tyr was also heavily worshipped by norse and danes during the viking era. Before battle a battle, before duels in which a persons honor was at stakes and in other justiciary matters to make sure things were done in accordance to rule and law and it was with honor.

not just a big secret, it was something to symbolized as "burying your past, and moving towards the future, your new life" he found solitude at the different place, but when things went south, there goes consecutive new burdens, most of us still do believe that the hand print at the trees around their home really does cloak them against asgard's sight (heimdall's sight even), because just like its real-life counterpart, Odin really has obsession to collect prophecies, especially the one meant for someone else.

Kratos in his typical fashion will kill a pantheon simply by them getting in his way rather than hunt them down like Atreus wants. Kratos has never sought to destroy pantheons he just wanted to kill Zeus and everyone tried to stop him. In this Kratos seems mostly there to protect his son and everyone is gunning for them, so naturally they have to die

@@Broomer52 to say that kratos only ever wanted to kill Zeus is wrong. He wanted all of the gods heads for the nightmares they cursed him with . So yes he did seek to destroy the entirety of his pantheon . In the end even including the titans in his rampage. His object was never to just kill Zeus that is far to vague . He just wanted his curse lifted. Zeus wanted to kill kratos cause he an all the Gods we're corrupt from the opening of Pandora's box . Replay the games

GOW doesn’t really half ass stuff so it’s going to be beautiful! That Thor boss fight has to the the greatest Boss fight of all time, I’m from the Metal Gear Solid era, the way they have built the tension is second to none. I wonder how many times we’ll fight him..I think he might beat us once..Zeus did beat Kratos before..

I feel like it sounds like it's Tyr asking those questions of Kratos not Odin. But Kratos has changed out of sight from whatever Tyr knew of him when he was imprisoned or whatever - I mean the first fight in 4 proves it when he shows *restraint* towards Baldur hitting him rather than flying off the handle instantly.

it is him , in the english subtitles option of the official playstation channel trailer they wrote the name of each character speaking before its monologue and in that part it was ODIN

Seems like the roles have reversed a little. In the first game Atreus was following us but now Kratos follows Atreus and keeps him safe.

And his first wife, and Calliope... And the various demigods he sired that who knows are still wandering out there 😬

@@quintinwright8487 you know what? I just recalled something. The Valkyries are back in a mortal body. They cant control themselves in that state. So perhaps Odin trapped the Valkyries again in a mortal body and are obedient to him somehow.

those are Sköll and Hati (not 100% sure i wrote that right btw) which are the sons of fenris, aka Atreus/loki's grandkids. they chase the sun and moon, causing night and day. one of the signs of ragnarok is when they catch their prey.

Gotta love that vague/abstract magic that fits mythology so well. Last thing I saw like that was Dr. Strange plucking the time stone out of the night sky.

@@Croncho-dj4ly Elden Ring is fun while it lasted but became stale too soon when casual players are roaming all over the place. God of War offers nothing but adventure towards the unknown which is about to unfold in a very unanticipated way.

@@xxx_jim_the_reaper_xxx im sorry but that’s exactly what elden ring is, It took me 189 hrs exactly to reach the end, and in that 189 hrs I just keep discovering new things, I played like 12 hrs a day, and still had a lot to do, I haven’t even completed all the quest the game offers, the only problem I see with elden ring is, if u want to start a NG+ it’s really difficult to fell like the first time, bc map it’s fking massive and it takes time to reach some parts
