That sign that says, "RETRIAL, Gabriel's murder is a hate crime." 🤨 People who say things like that are always the people who know nothing about what happened in trial. George hasn't been convicted of any crime so how could he have comitted a "hate crime"? 🤔 The state of Arizona laid out their entire case and showed the jury all their evidence, and they were unable to prove their case to them (the jury). The *ONLY* people in that courtroom who have to believe George was guilty... couldn't even do it and sent a note to the judge telling him that even with continued deliberation, they would not be able to reach a verdict. Its the ones who complain the loudest about their perceived lack of due process in the criminal justice system, fairness in the law, etc, are the first (and, really... the only ones) who will want a person to go to prison for a crime that the state cant even prove happened. If the state of Arizona were confident in their case against George Kelly, they would absolutely retry the case. The prosecution isnt going to drop a case they believe they can get a conviction on.

There was never sufficient evidence to place charges in the first place. The guy that was found dead did not seem to have been up to any good with how he was equipped so many questions there. A complete waste of tax payer money that could have been used better.

He should NOT have had charges filed against him in the first place. Evidence is still required to charge murder!

I watch a lot of trials and this one stands out as one with the most inept lead detective who was made a fool on the stand. The sheriff who visited Mexico “unofficially” came of as absolutely not credible and appeared unable to portray his real visit. This was a blown case by law enforcement and I can’t believe this crack detective couldn’t even find an AK47 on his search warrant because it was behind a door…I’m a pro law enforcement citizen BUT, this crew was inept at best, manipulating the truth at worst and the department needs to be looked at and methods questioned. George must be a happy camper he never took the plea deal the prosecutor offered….Kelly was railroaded by a zealous amateurish lead detective and a politically motivated system in Nogales from what I gathered.

May God Bless all those who helped free Mr. Kelly, the Police and Prosecutors were very quick to Judge Mr. Kelly and that a sad dangers place for our Constitution and for the Police and Prosecutors to quickly Judge an innocent man.

The sad consequence of this trial is that Kelly is now flat broke due to legal fees, and now he has to start over at age 75. The prosecutor should be sued.
