I remember being a 1st grader here in Indianapolis, Indiana. It was all over the radio. Then the movie skool daze. Then when I heard it at the circle city classic with the battle of the bands both bands killed. I fell in love with go-go. I was already a drummer having started at 4 yrs old but I had to learn it. I'm still in love with go-go and it's history and DC is definitely one of my favorite places to visit!! The history and culture is second to none!!✊🏽✊🏽🔥🔥❤❤
I grew up playing the bass with Sugar Bear as my influence. His bass was so distictive and I always loved the way he would introduce his bass into a song. 43 years later as I play in church, I still use his influence when I play. #KingOfGoGo

Facts!!! When he does that “I 👁 👁 👁 “ the crowd jumps in sync and from then its on!!! Lobe Sugar Bear, Love EU. No sound like them, then nor since. Its funny how people say GOGO sounds the same. Not true. I can tell without anyone speaking, listening to the band, its its RE, BYB, JYB, Chuck, and especially EU! My favorite out of many from EU, Look in your eyes! “I can tellllll, i can tellll”
