Hey there! We sell all these products on our website. We currently only ship within South Africa but you should try Malossi Stores in Europe or nearer to you.

You mentioned not to fiddle with the stock carb what about running a pod/uni filter on the stock carb? Amped to see this scoot complete 😮😮
@urban_riders
@urban_riders Год назад
Yes, we find for street use the stock air box is perfect. Unless you're racing and have a huge carb with lots of fuel, the stock air box is fine. Remember, sometimes a bigger opening is not always better because then the air flow slows down. But with a bigger carb a pod filter would work great!

Hi , love your video. Wanting some info did you change main jet in 22 carby and if yes what size?
@urban_riders
@urban_riders Год назад
Thank you! The 22mm carb came with two main jets, a 75mm and a 78mm. We put in the 78mm which works best at the coast, you run the 75mm inland due to less oxygen. This carb kit also comes with two needles too.
@TheWeekendWarrior101
@TheWeekendWarrior101 Год назад
With the new carb is there alot of settings that need to be made e.g jetting etc or is it ready to go straight out the box?
@urban_riders
@urban_riders Год назад
We found it very easy to set up. It comes with two jets, a 75 and 78. We simply put the carb on with the 78 and middle needle setting and it ran great.

I put the new rollers in and i was satisfied with the pullaway but not with top end, i would like to get a cheap 125cc piston and barrel kit Any ideas where i can get it? Edit: Or should i just bore it bigger and get a 125cc piston
@urban_riders
@urban_riders 10 месяцев назад
Rollers are either for top speed or full pull away depending on which way you go with the weights. With regards to the cylinder. If you bore the standard bigger you will only gain a few “cc’s” while you could get a Airsal kit which is cheaper but only a 117cc or the biggest gain would be the Malossi big bore which is a 124cc. Have a look on our website for the Malossi Big Bore Kit if you are interested.

great video, question, why run the 22mm carb and not the 28mm d slide?
@urban_riders
@urban_riders 7 месяцев назад
For us by the coast the 22mm is perfect. There is also way less setup, the Malossi is install and go.

Why would u put 28mm on 125cc

So i bought brand new rollers from extreme yamaha and now i cant get my variator off Any ideas?
@urban_riders
@urban_riders Год назад
Hey Ruwayne, The nuts on the variator are very hard to get off without an impact driver. It needs a lot of torque to remove and tighten with out spinning the motor. Maybe check with some friends or a workshop willing to help. Hope this helps.

Hello ! Love your video i have a question. I have seen lots of bws100 videos and normally, when they are 100cc with exhaust variator clutch and all the transmission upgrades, the put a 24" carburetor. If they go with the 124cc Malossi like you they go for a 28" carburetor. So why do you upgrade to "only" a 22 carburetor instead of a bigger one to maybe reach better performance? Thanks !
@urban_riders
@urban_riders Год назад
Glad you enjoying the videos. Without getting too technical, the main reason for the 22mm carb is to keep the intake velocity high. The porting on both stock and Malossi cylinders don’t allow for massive intake size. All that happens is that the fuel mix into the crankcase slows down. Also this setup is for street use, not drag racing. Hope this answers your question.
@onitutu
@onitutu Год назад
@@urban_riders Yes that helps a lot. And one last question. I have my BWS100 stock at the moment but already bought to install all together the exhaust you remove, the Tecnigas and also the malossi multivar 2000 + the malossi fly clutch + ventilvar 2000 half-pulley Ø 106 (malossi code 6118780) + 7.2gr rollers + the VL14 petals. For that combination which carburetor would be the best option for a street use? Thanks i really really appreciate ypur help and dedicated time to help people like me
@urban_riders
@urban_riders Год назад
For street use we suggest the 22mm with the VL14 reed valve, stock airbox, and stock air filter. As soon as you go bigger carb or change the airbox, your life will become more complicated and you'll spend days trying to set up your fueling. That's if you don't end up seizing the motor in the process. Good Luck with your build.
@urban_riders
@urban_riders Год назад
@@onitutu That's Awesome to hear! We wouldn't go bigger than the 22mm carb for street use. Unless you're drag racing the 22mm will be perfect.

why haven't you changed crankshaft??
@urban_riders
@urban_riders Год назад
We have done a stroker crank in the past, but it becomes difficult to set up and it was just not meant for this build. But, maybe we will in the future!
@anilgucuyen4451
@anilgucuyen4451 9 месяцев назад
@@urban_riders you can use 49.1 or 50.1 crank..setup is easy for these crank. I use 50.1 crank and malossi 124cc with high pressure head for daily use. In my country, lots of bws 100 are running with 124 malossi, 53mm crank, 28 carb etc.
@TheWeekendWarrior101
@TheWeekendWarrior101 Год назад
What's the estimated total cost for the engine and transmission upgrade?
@urban_riders
@urban_riders Год назад
We will do a full cost break down, but the stuff we did in this video comes to around R13k for the parts only, and the drive is around R12k for the parts only. We do sell all these products on our website, so feel free to check it out! urbanriders.odoo.com/

its not 125cc its 70cc..
@urban_riders
@urban_riders Год назад
These models we get here in South Africa are air cooled 100cc and Malossi do a 125cc big bore air cooled for this model. They do push out less power compared to the 70cc water cooled though.
@EricEidenberger
@EricEidenberger Год назад
@@urban_riders my apologies - In the US biggest is 70cc
