My mind body soul belong to them they saved my life from meth when I was younger. I have the link tattooed on me as well as an oroborous. behind it I actually plan to get a whole sleeve dedicated to them Amazing to see them get nominated for Magma best metal album at the Grammy awards but I am not surprised Gojira is life. seen them 4 times live 1 time VIP meet and greet.
Guillermo Lopez I'm fucking done today with my fucking friends listening to ABSOLUTE SHIT like A day to Remember Justin Bieber and absolute crap like that. Sent a Gojira video to "the metalhead" and she said that his growls were awful and I should listen to Bullet for my Vallentine. If it was not for Gojira I would murder a ton of people.
Amazing how metal, being a safe outlet for dark emotion (rage, sadness, anger, aggression, despair, etc), is therapeutic. Saw Gojira helped a few through addiction. Right on man. Pantera helped me through mine. Hmmm maybe that's a pattern? If you have a safe way to engage those emotions maybe our tendency to use goes down? Yes. I think so.
maybe its because in our societies, all these emotions (rage, sadness, anger, aggression, despair, etc) are sort of brushed aside for most part. And when they are dealt with, people expect it to be done in a timely manner, as quick as possible which doesnt help whatsoever. Especially in this increasingly isolated world, even before the pandemic.
The arrangement, the tone in all their instruments, those freaking lyrics... gosh, I really love Gojira. One of the few band with meaningful lyrics and that can perform sometimes even better that in their album. They may play a lot of 0's and simple riff but they compose in a way it feels like the heaviest shit you've ever heard, a clear example that you don't need fast as shit solos and super complicated songs to have a good song and get your message loud and clear. I am a huge metal fan but I don't listen to a lot of metal bands (as weird as that may sound) because most of them are just trying to appear as tough or just don't send me a real message, Gojira is one of the few exceptions (if anyone has any recommendations I'm all ears, my favorite subgenre es groove metal :) )
dude, trust me I've given LoG more than a listen, next to Gojira and Pantera they're one of my favorite bands, do you have any other recommendations? :)
Took me way too long to find this song really good. Listening to it like all others songs from Gojira, but this one, i don't know. Take me a fucking while since the release. A lot because of the electronic (with electronic voice) sound of the first part of the song. I like a lot of electro, but there, i didnt' get it. But today ? I can say this is perfect. More in live !
Reflecting ourselves in the blood of all the beings we slay Misunderstand each other, out of control we remain There is a mystery, we're facing a sight to behold This is what we make of the world, we throw everything away The way we all behave is not understandable It is so sad to see the wealth of our planet fade away We all behave like children, taking off the head of our teddy bear To see what's inside, taking, not giving back We drain the oceans and suck all the blood out of the soil We spend the time we have left fighting and killing each other Lust for comfort, entertainment becomes an obsession And there is so much time to kill The way I see things is so simple The fact I'm walking standing on this land Exhausted is the realm of nature, friends are dying The living creatures on our side The way I see myself so confused so sophisticated I have to stay away from me But I still don't get the point What's worth destroying all the worlds Try not to get it anymore You burn yourself, set fire for good We die eyes closed, dig your own grave now Tossed in the blaze naked on the flame Lost with no pride, drowned in the filth The giant snake is coming down to eat our heads And the flood will kill us, Mantus is rising from under The way I see things is so simple The fact I'm living dying on this land Exhausted is the realm of nature, friends are dying The living creatures on our side The way I see myself so confused so sophisticated Don't have to stay away from me But I still don't get the point What's worth destroying all the worlds
The best metal act I have seen in the last 10 years! It was a realy nice surprise. GOJIRA: you rule! DjoZef: thank you for letting me know that Gojira was this great
I want as much detail as possible regarding mario's kit and mic and the whole sound set up, this recording is mind blowing. Some of the best live audio i have EVER heard.
Oh my god. EARGASM. I have only recently started listening to Gojira, now i wonder where were they earlier. I guess you don't find music, but music finds you when it is the right time.
i've been hearing & watching this everyday from the past 4 weeks since i met this band. and i plan to continue till my brain gets confused and sophisticated.
GOJIRA! If ever you are reading this. You guys are the next big thing!! I really hope you manage to make it big across the border. USA would love you guys. All the best
I like this song so much because of that i cant stop myself about listenin that. I said that to myself "This song is so different than other gojira song. And i guess i wont like that" when first listened that. But i was thinking wrong about it. This song is a art man!

Bro... same man! At first I also thought that this song was too weird.. but now; the lyrics and the drums are like so flowing perfectly together. Hope they play this when I see them live end of this month!
I can't say everyone but they are definitely top tier with plenty others, I mean Cattle Decap, The Ocean, Lamb Of God, Emperor, even more prog genres like Rishloo, Leprous, and Haken. All fantastic
If you want to turn some heads, crank this version of a sight to behold in pubic. The weird alien vocal intro gets people's attention like "what the hell? That opening rhythm/riff makes people move almost involuntarily
@Sztampus I say that because its great to see that someone recognizes the dangers we pose to the world. I probably should have used a different expression, but in my country, people still deny global warming and things like that exist. So I said that because it's great to see someone recognizing the issues that plague us.
Fuck yeah! They sound so clean like in studio! Listening 'em about two weeks, and they are alredy one of my favourite bands! Their music is amazing, it's mindblowing! They're heavy but lyrics are peaceful and with deep meaning...
