Hi, my husband Ilan served in the Sayeret Golani from 1966 to 1969 ! He was so proud it was the most meaningful part of his life fighting for Israel, he left us in 2016 shalom le kol ha haverim she jie tov Baruch ha Shem🇮🇱❤️
"Masada never more"! Israel will stand forever. A great people. A great Nation. The Brazilian people support Israel. We stand together to do advance the peace, the democracy and the freedom. Always Israel!
My impression is that the IDF proves that you don’t have to be abusive or demeaning towards recruits in order to create great soldiers that were very effective in battle. I wish the US military would study how the IDF is trained: More training, high standards, but no abuse.
Indeed. In IDF, in the battlefield, officers and soldiers eat from the same plate and sleep in the same tent....brothers-like....unique army. It's based on the religion and courage that comes form the same religion shared by all soldiers and officers....
@@tennisblood Yeah and I’m sure that’s far better for unit cohesion, morale and combat efficiency than cultivating fear and resentment toward “leaders” in the soldiers.
Fantastic video. Those boys are so young, but they are well aware of their duty. Every country should force their young men into the military service to teach them this kind of responsibility. God bless the IDF, and keep those boys safe.
If I had to decide I would go with those guys and gals everywhere. The professionality shown by them is exceptional. Those "silent" DI´s are fearsome if you are on the receiving end. I´m a first hand witness. And they welcomed us as brothers back then - and that was the last thing I ever expected or even hoped for.
LOL nothing has changed in 40 + years! Yella two minutes to the top of the hill and back......Why did it take you two and a half minutes? Do it again.....You, why are you laughing? Join him... and take the rest of the guys with you.....

The way it should be, what I went through in America with all the jumping up and down screaming acting stupid is all a joke we need to be a trainer and teach
gur arye Wow, even if you do AIT in the US Army training isn't even nearly that long. I'm sure it's not, but it seems like a waste of time. The better part of a year, for the average soldier?!
Benjamin Aho its not the average soldier its the combat soldiers from the 5 brigades that make up the infantry core most non combat soldiers finish basic training in a month
no! dont listen to michael i am serving in the idf paratroopers reg (890bt) ,as an regular infantry u will have to complete at least 10 months of training (boot camp 4 m,progresive training 4 m,course platoon 3/4 m) and i didnt take to consederation the different courses your commanders may send you after so....
i will tell you i think just to join the idf its pretty ez because we are surrounded by countries that want to kill us and we need as much more soliders as possible but if you want to join elite forces its very hard
it's much more tougher than it's looks in the video, the training is 7 months, and there is later "battalion training" that way harder than the boot training, but with less discipline. and that's a regular infantry battalion, the elite units are 100x more tougher and harder.
hello, i am currently 14 and i plan on joining the idf, my dad and his siblings served and i want to to, i dont know Hebrew yet but i plan on learning, is there any special programs for people like me?
If you are that courageous why don’t you go free your captive soldiers from Gaza. Evidently you forgot about them, can your soldiers trust you won’t turn your back on them. The truth always hurts
IT IS! Trust me, it may not look like it here but discipline is number one! If you'd speak Hebrew you would understand. I apologize for kaleb's words, I'm sure USMC and Golani are both equally hardcore
CORNCAKE80 Well some things I notice are that these IDF recruits seem to be lollygagging around, looking around, slouching, touching their faces, walking. In the USMC if you are caught touching your face you do pushups. If you slouch or do anything that isn't as fast as you can possibly do it you are screamed at and punished. I was once sent to the sand pit because my 'knife hands' weren't perfectly touching. When you first arrive to basic training you don't even get to wear your boots. You have to earn the right to look like a Marine. First you get to wear boots, then you get to blouse them, then you get your name sewed onto your uniform. You must always refer to yourself and others around you in the third person. 'This recruit' and 'that recruit'. When you are ordered to lay in your rack at night, you must lay there at attention until you are given the order to adjust. It's a whole different level of Discipline than this. I'm sure the IDF train amazing fighting soldiers, but as far as pure DISCIPLINE I'd say the USMC takes the cake.
Israel doest need to have drill sergeants like us military style because they are small country and more Homogeneous, the military mindset of the them is more nationalistic
