Just a friendly FYI, the terms you're looking for when describing the watch are: bezel (the outer edge), dial (face of the watch), bracelet (what you called "the band") and deployant clasp. Agree that this thing is awesome, though!
I've got an IP gold Invicta that's probably 7 years old and doesn't fade. The color is bonded to the stainless on an ionic level. Even when it scratches its still gold.

@@ctrangedemon : Still as brand new. But to be noted I rarely weari it, and when I was wearing it, I handled with care, not let it splash by water. All my gold tone watches are still like brand new (unless the bad quality coating ones)
