The content highlights are as follows The video is an autopsy of the logic boards from two Rush controllers. Evidence of repairs and hand soldering is visible on the logic boards. The presence of white flux indicates touch-up work and soldering issues during the Reflow process. The factory's Reflow soldering process is deemed sketchy and requires manual rework. The video criticizes KO Moto's assembly work, claiming they prioritize cost-cutting over quality. Hand soldering is done for surface-mounted components like capacitors and connectors, leading to inconsistencies. Wave soldering is suggested as a more efficient method for consistent soldering, except for certain components. The video highlights evidence of repairs and replacements on the logic boards, indicating component failures. The use of Captain tape to address battery bus issues is criticized as ineffective. The video advises against purchasing KO Moto products, accusing them of dishonest practices and selling repaired controllers as new.
at this point people can call Flipsky/Makerbase all they want, and they may not be the best controllers, but normally they don't sell you (previously) broken shit 😂 that board is burnt so far that i, if i had a company, wouldn't even dare to sell it as a refurb god dang
Both of those are the same people and the bottom of the barrel for VESC. But yes, getting repaired and obviously used hardware sold as new is unheard of! Well...except for KO Moto who does it ALL THE TIME!
