If I may summarize what I think is the process shown here. After the chips are removed from the ram sticks they are heated in sulfuric acid. Not to the point where you can separate the gold bond wires from the plasitc, but rather, only to the point where the Aqua Regia can find it's way to the gold bond wires. Then you dissolve the gold and recovery it in the normal way.
Thank you! The sulfuric acid is needed for to dissolve(wet ashing) the epoxy. With this tipe of chip better to burn all, then grinde and separate the hevy stuff from the ash/glassfiber.
Szia, nice video, thank you. I am more into goldwashing, but in the winter I can burn some RAM chips and get more gold than with goldwashing. Did you try cupelling as the way to clean gold?
Thank you! No I never done cupelling, personaly I dont like molten lead / lead fumes and the end product is still contaminated with silver/PGM's and lead, still need to refine with chemicals to get close to .999 fine.
@@ogbullion I have seen video doing cupelling with bismuth instead of lead. Works nice and no lead involved. I will try. I don't know, how to handle all that heavy metal nitrates in solution, when using nitric acid or Aqua Regia. Natural gold may also contain arsenic, antimonium and other nasty stuff. Silver and PGMs are OK for making "jewels". Chemical way has its + and -, so does the metalurgical way. Thank you for showing me different chemical ways...
You could have used hcl to remove the tin after you rinsed the sulfuric acid with distilled water. Then hcl and nitric for a cleaner auracloric solution.
Gold corner bgas have more gold in them. Ram bgas I think is newer generation of bga, in the process I had hard time to find visible gold bond vires since they are very small, and i think lost some gold in this process somewhere, this is why the yield not to good. Thanks for watching! 👍🙂
Yeah me to. I expected 1,5-2 gram. I think a lost some gold at the filtering in the fiber glass "mess". No and yes.🤔 No beacuse I'm not from Czech Republic. Yes beacuse I have a 500 ml erlenmeyer flask that not made in Czech Republic and thats where I live and from, that you can see in my gold corner BGA video at 6: 36 or 10 :26 😉
Hi i proccest some bga gold corner chips the aqua regia was very dark ant after dropping its very weart its still dark ant on top are all yellow/ gold flakkes floting do jou no wat i die wrong tgere is olso a lot of zilver in there
I think you not treated the material with nitric acid before aqua regia. If you see floating gold on the top, the gold probably precipatated, the dark color is the basemetals in solution.
@@ogbullion yes i did but not long enough the yellew/gold flakes disepere when i try to filter them out is there a way to still get they gold out of the solution
@@ogbullion ok thanks in one video from you told that jou can makrcit your zelf by disolving some tin in hcl is that dilutid hcl or the 30 % thanks tot your help en ideees
@@ogbullion Hi, first i would like to thank u for ur interesting tutorial videos. I've learned a lot from you.. one question u referred to Sulfamic Acid as a Nitric neutralizer does Urea do the same?.. THNX
