For me, accents are hard to place (some people have higher mastery than others, some people learn English based on England’s pronunciation and not Northern American) but recognizing other spoken languages are much easier

He was a jeweler who owned stores in San Juan, Bogota and NYC. Always dressed to the nines, polite and very brilliant. I was dead lucky to have him as long as I did, but told me from the beginning he had never been married never would be. Older men have money, they are smart, polished, and are experienced with women. I'm sure he was a great 'catch' quite a few women thought so!

I have multiple sclerosis and when I have an exacerbation I have to be put into the hospital and get steroids. Which make you really puffy and really hungry. I remember ordering two breakfast, lunch and dinner and Snacks in between!! Imagine being starved in the hospital 🏥

Hospitals have some of the best food and it’s all you can eat. When I was a patient recently they served me the best breakfast I’ve ever eaten. It was better than a 5 star restaurant. Plus, they served my husband a tray also. So him saying he needed money for food in the hospital was laughable. When I worked in the hospital the food in the cafeteria was top notch. If you want good food, just head for the nearest hospital.

@@donnahilton471 I still wouldn't call that arrogance. I think it's more about a lack of willingness to accept reality. We've all been guilty of this at some point. For instance, I was SO "in love" with one girl (10+++) for over two years, even though it was clear she wasn't into me. During those years, I was so lovesick that I would have given her everything I owned if she had wanted to scam me. By the way, I'm a Nigerian immigrant. And while growing up in Nigeria, we were taught to be cautious about scams (or loosing our senses over love) because there's often no legal recourse if you fall victim to one. I totally feel sad for her!

I've said it a hundred times...physically fit, attractive, successful men are NOT looking for women in their 70's. I'm in my 50's and they're not looking for me either. I'm not saying that she's not deserving of a good man, maybe she is, maybe she isn't. Even if she is, doesn't change the fact that she is not the target demographic for men who look like "Garret." I really liked this Catfished episode because you asked the victim open ended questions to get them to think critically about their actions and how they could have done their own research to find out if he was a scammer or not. I noticed in the past she would do the reveal in such a way to soften the blow, but I notice this time, she just lay the smack down without sugarcoating anything.

Drew is the best at keeping calm and kind, but I winced when she made a comment about talking to black people with an emphasis on the word that didn't sound good. So here on top of what is yet another selfish foolish lazy person, we have a racist.

She knew in her heart that this was a scam. The tax accountant told her it was a scam. Even she knew that a lot of what he was asking was fishy. At this point, she bought into the fantasy that a handsome, fit, and wealthy man wanted her. She was holding out hope that this man was real, and he really loved her. I like this new approach on the show where they’re asking open-ended questions to make the victim think through why they would fall for this, and why they would continue with this if there were more red flags waving like a North Korea parade. Remember - if men ask you for money, even if it’s someone you met in person, RUN AND BLOCK!!!
